READ MY REVIEW BEFORE YOU THINK ABOUT DOING BUSINESS WITH MARK. As a customer, you are entitled to reschedule as many times as you wish. Usually, the correct appointment is scheduled on the day and time you request upon availability..however, in this case, it's NOT TRUE. I rescheduled my appt. twice and on the 2nd time I caught on my invoice that Mark put the WRONG DATE & TIME. So I called him and corrected him and it got resolved. 2 days later, I call to reschedule for a sooner date due to moving changes..and it got confirmed for YESTERDAY. On the day of moving day which Mark verbally confirmed on the phone for WEDNESDAY, I look on my invoice AND IT SAYS PICK UP THURSDAY. I immediately text and call Mark, and he texts back with rude and sarcastic responses which expressed NO REMORSE or mistake on his part!! THIS IS A TRUE STORY! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY and you'll THANK ME LATER!!! read more

Highly do not recommend! Damaged my 65" TV and master bed due to incorrect re-assemblying. Un-willling to take my calls or work with me. Lying saying, I refuse packaging, which was NOT discussed with me onsite as I was very specific at time of booking about packing and have text noting this, especially with the TVs and told they have everything!!! Was specific about disassemble of bed to be told onsite they could not do that and had to fully disassemble. To be reassembled where now broken but not their fault and have to fix it myself. Tell me it's my problem by supervisor Augustein!!! and will only cover $.60 (yes 60 cents per pound). Then text me to tell me I refused services witnessed by 3 of workers workers for $40, which was never discussed with me and that I would be wise to take $100.00 for the TV. Refuse to give me management contact information as they are not answering my calls Unprofessional customer service = will never use this service again and recommend no to from others! Officially filed complaints against this company. Highly recommend - DO NOT USE!!! If I could give"0" (zero stars) I would!!! read more

I'm pregnant and high risk and this move made me so stressed! Worst job ever! Broke everything! Supervisor was an absolute nightmare! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Thank you Mark for coordinating everything and Felipe (I hope that's his name) and the other 2 other gentlemen (sorry I totally missed their names) that helped me move from Japantown to DT San Jose on 12/29/17. They were running a little late and gave me a call to advise me of their new estimated arrival time. They were quick and efficient, took great care of everything and nothing was damaged in transit and going up 3 stories with no elevator. I would definitely utilize their services and highly recommend them to my family and friends and anyone else who may need moving services. Awesome job guys & Happy New Year! read more

Worst movers ever I made an appointment online for 10 am they told they'll be there between 10 and 4! So unprofessional, I told them just cancel my appointment and refund me my money it's been a month and they haven't refunded my money. So now I'm in the process on filing a lawsuit and reporting them to BBB. Such a shame when all they had to do was return my money for service that wasn't given. read more

No call, no show. No responses. This company is a scam! Same company as Professional Movers in San Mateo; I have to go through using their phone numbers to find all their company names to help warn people so they don't have the same experience as us. After they sent confirmation of time and date, there was no more communication. We had to call our friends and family on a Sunday afternoon to help us move. Please do not make the same mistake! read more

I had a horrible experience with these movers. They were rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful to my belongings, my girlfriend, and myself. They also lie about their guarantees on their website/confirmation receipts. I've seen them argue with other negative reviews claiming that there's no record of that negative move so please message me for a copy of the receipt as proof if you want evidence. What happened: We had an appointment for Saturday March 31 between 1-2 pm for the arrival time. I waited until 2:15 to call and the operator told me he'd call the driver who would then call me. Finally after 3:00 pm, an hour after the appointment window, I get a call from Louise, the driver saying that they won't be able to make it until the next day! This is obviously something that they could have told me an hour prior at the VERY least, but instead waited until an hour after the appointment window. It also goes against their claimed "100% guarantee" to show up on the scheduled day. My whole weekend and moving/cleaning plan was ruined. I called the HQ and told them what was happening. They were apologetic and said that they would give me a discount and I could talk to the movers the next day about it because they have the authority to give whatever discount they see fit. The next day Louise showed up and made no mention of a discount of any kind. When I asked about it, he said he had to call his boss to see what discount I could get (which doesn't add up to what the operator told me the day before). He came back saying he could give me about $60 off which is unacceptable. My Easter plans with family were ruined, I had to postpone my cleaning service, and my moving plans and weekend in general were ruined. When I tried to negotiate further, he stormed off and said he wasn't going to do the move at all! Which is absolutely unacceptable behavior. He acted like he was doing ME a favor because he "doesn't normally work Sundays but he was doing it" for me. It also again went against their guarantee of moving their client on the day agreed upon. With my hands tied, needing to move that weekend I had no choice but to settle with a raw deal and have them move me a day late with a far less than satisfactory/fair discount. During the move, they spoke in Spanish (assuming we couldn't understand) making fun of my belongings, and saying inappropriate things about my girlfriend. They dropped boxes of my stuff while moving as well. All around awful experience with incredibly unprofessional people. read more

This was the WORST service I have EVER received. Up until moving day they were responsive and helpful. I was promised they would arrive between 8 and 9am so when no one was there by 9:30 I called the office. I got a follow up call saying there had been a delay and I would have an ETA shortly. Hours later I am still waiting. I call the number I was texted from, no answer. Call the office, no answer. Call ALL the numbers from their website and email, no answer. I get one text message promising me a crew and extra people for free very soon. Eventually I get a call saying the nearby crew would show up once they finish their other job. They arrive after 6pm without the extra people I was promised. I had prepacked everything except the kitchen which I have pre-notified the company needs packing. The team has no idea I need a kitchen packed. They say they don't have the materials needed so off I go to home depot to buy packing materials. SEVEN hours later they finish packing the truck. They are exhausted, as am I, as I have been carrying boxes and small furniture items to speed up the process. It's now 1am. I can't have them unloading the furniture at my new apartment building so I ask them if meeting me at the new apartment first thing in the morning is possible. The driver agrees as he is exhausted. The next day no one shows up. No phone call or text. I call the office again, no answer. I call the driver, no answer. We play this game ALL day. I am starting to worry, these guys have everything I own in their truck. I even go to the Police to ask what I can do. Eventually I get a text saying they will arrive at 5pm. At 6pm no one has arrived. I call again. They are on the way. It takes four hours to unpack my one bedroom apartment. The bill comes to just under $1000 plus they broke my ceramic dragon. I ask the mover for his bosses cell number. He refuses. The invoice has no contract details on it. Do not use this company. They are dishonest. You have been warned! Update: I moved in March. Mark's message below is irrelevant. This is definitely the company I booked through. read more

So at first the customer service was great but the NIGHT before we were suppose to move, we did a walk through and found out our new place was not livable. We found this out at 10pm. The morning of the move I called them at 9:12 and no answer. Called 4 more times after that. Our moving window was 9-4. I get a call back at 12:23 and the first thing our his mouth was "I know you aren't trying to cancel the day of". He then got extremely rude, yelling, and was completely unprofessional. He complained about not doing a deposit of 150, I even offered him that. This is not our fault because we found out the NIGHT BEFORE that our place isn't livable. This way he spoke to me and treated me was NOT okay. read more

I picked San Jose Movers after a very extensive search. I read up on movers all over the net and called and got quotes from at least 15 companies. These movers were very detailed and absolutely upfront about their rates and what was involved. They had a very reasonable price at $95/hr for 3 guys and a truck which didn't involve any hiden fees or last minute surprises. The only additional move related costs they had was for packing materials and double drive time. I had mentioned how paranoid I was about hiring a moving company due to previous experiences, but they assured me that the once the movers were here, that they would help with anything regarding my move. That was so true because at my new place, I didn't know where to put my couch and after having the movers move it in 3 different places - it finally rested in a perfect spot in my living room. Anyway, they arrived on time, were swift, careful, wrapped/padded all of my furniture, performed the disassembly and re-assembly as needed, and were just generally very friendly and pleasant. Most stress-free move of my life! I've hired movers 6 times total, and I would rate previous experiences a range of 1 star to 3. Do be aware that if you're paying via credit card there is an additional 3% process fee, but its not so bad considering the convenience. They were great! I recommend these movers highly if ever needed. read more

I used Yelp to find movers and chose this company based on the reviews. While the overall company may be good, they contract out their movers, and I did not get so lucky. My move was set to be easy. I had moved from Portland 3 weeks prior and sublet a place until finding a permanent apartment. ALL of my stuff was still in boxes, and I have only a studios worth of belonginings. To give some perspective it took me and my mom an hour to unload when I first moved. The movers showed up 15 minutes late, then had 15 minutes worth of paperwork for me to do (I was in a serious time crunch which I made clear when i made the reservation). Once they got started I made it very clear I did not want things wrapped in plastic, just my TV. I offered to sign something saying if it broke they were not liable, and simply asked that they use blankets as I did when I drove my stuff 11 hours in a u-haul. We literally talked about every item individually and I clearly stated I did not want it wrapped in plastic. I had to leave to go sign my lease for my new apartment and left the 2 guys to finish up, since they were half way done, I assumed they would only be a half hour more. An HOUR AND A HALF later they called saying they were on the way. When they arrived, I looked in the truck to see that all my stuff had been wrapped in plastic. I asked them point blank "If I had stayed, would you have wrapped this stuff" and they replied "no." Mind you- you pay by the hour, so they scammed me. I left, they disregarded my wishes, and wrapped the stuff so they could waste another hour and charge me for it. SHADY! While unpacking I helped the entire time attempting to speed the process along. They dropped several of my boxes and literally made eye contact with me and did not say so much as an "oops" or "i'm sorry." Also, just a reminder: This company advertises NO HIDDEN FEE's. Simply $99 an hour, truck, movers, supplies included. If you are new to California, or just not a frequent mover, make sure to familiarize yourself with the double drive time rule, because you will be charged for that. I was unaware, and felt pretty shitty when I found out I had to pay 30 min worth of time for a 15 minute drive. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and frustrated by the end of this move and honestly would have rather rented a truck and done it myself. It would have been cheaper, and a better experience. read more

This was the first time we ever used professional movers and it happily turned into a great experience with this local moving company. We'll probably never move ourselves again after experiencing this move using professional movers. They provided us a reservation confirmation email that detailed everything out about our rates and scheduling and they didn't even require a deposit or credit card info from us to schedule the time/date we wanted. They also called us the day before our move to reconfirm and assure us they had us on their schedule, which helped squash the last minute lingering concerns we were starting to get about our move. Our movers showed up when they were supposed to our 3 bed home in San Jose, an 8-9AM appointment, and got everything moved to Palo Alto in roughly 6 hours. They wrapped most all of the furniture in padded blankets to carefully protect everything. A few fragile pieces such as a large mirror and our large Flat Screen TV were custom packed for extra safety. By the way, the cost of packing materials was extra and not included in their cheap hourly rates, which was fine...... and explained to us before our move and probably why they got everything safely moved with 0% damage. They certainly know what they're doing and it shows when seeing them in action. I guess that's the real difference between professional movers and the other type of moving options out there. Our 4 man moving crew were a bunch of hard workers and didn't miss a beat coordinating everything between themselves for the efficiency of it all. They generally kept a smile and were very helpful. Best of all was the price compared to other local professional companies we exhaustively checked with before scheduling this local moving service. We figure that we saved about 30% on our move with these guys. In short, great experience and recommend them. read more

"San Jose Movers" is a marketing name used by "All Pro Movers", so the header of your formal contract will have All Pro Movers on it. First and most importantly, you should check PUC number on the mover's truck when they arrive, and match it with the number on your contract. On the day of my move, I received calls from 2 numbers: one claiming to arrive early at 8:30 a.m., and another one giving me a choice between 8-9 and 9-10 a.m. arrival. It turns out that the latter - the one that gave me a choice - was some shady unrelated mover that had access to All Pro Mover's info, and tried to undercut their business! They might have an insider leaking out info or something... I had already signed a contract with All Pro Movers, so I would have had to pay double had I accidentally accepted the shady guy's service! Please be careful about that. My move was for a 1-bedroom apartment, but the movers were skilled in applying the padding on all my furniture, so that they would not get damaged during the move. Nothing was scratched, and I really appreciate them for that. I actually helped to move few boxes with them, so that we can finish within 3 hours. We ended up finishing up around 15-20 minutes before my 3 hours was up, so I guess my assistance wasn't necessary. They helped me to reassemble my flat-panel TV too. Very polite people. Overall, I am very satisfied with the service that I received, they did a really nice job. However, I docked off 2 stars just because of all the pre-move, early-morning hassle due to the shady undercutter. I honestly cannot recommend All Pro Movers to my friends until they sort this problem out, as it puts their customers directly at risk. read more

Called this company and scheduled a Saturday afternoon move of a 1-bedroom with a small storage unit, 2-people. I've never had a move take more than 3 hours and always had 2 guys except when I moved from Southern California, but that was a complete move, we were boxing ourselves. They called a couple of days before the move and asked if we could do Saturday morning, no problem we though, we could spend the rest of the day unpacking. Day comes and a Ryder rental truck pulls up, no biggie, the truck doesn't matter as long as they have all the equipment. They present the paperwork to me and it's SpeeDee movers that showed up. SpeeDee movers provided the worst move I've been through and I've moved quite a few times even across the state. I'll be leaving a review over at SpeeDee movers page with more details, I was just disappointed that what we were told initially was not what was delievered. https://www.yelp.com/biz/speedee-movers-san-jose-2?hrid=BYtJINZ9EfoJjgmVzoy1MA read more

They were scheduled to come at 9 am today, it is now 9:50 and no one at the office is picking up my phone calls or answering to my text messages. I had to schedule another company for THE SAME DAY because this business does not know how to operate. I am extremely disappointed with how unprofessional they are . They even sent me a receipt confirming they would be here from 8 am to 9 am so I rented the elevators at my new building and since they aren't coming anymore that will be useless. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY . Go with a professional I can't believe they just left me hanging like this . read more

This Saturday I hired two movers to unpack a ReloCube into a one bedroom apartment. We had Leo and Marcos help us, and they were amazing. They were fast, polite, punctual, and careful with our stuff. THE QUOTE: I found San Jose Movers on Yelp, and they responded to my request for a quote within a day. They were transparent about costs. When I agreed to make a reservation, they confirmed using emails. THE MOVE: They called me the day before to confirm. Then, on the day of, they called me when they were on their way. They were punctual and came at the time we planned on. Leo and Marcos were really nice and super respectful with our stuff. They were nice to hang out with, and I'd request to have them again for another move. THE COST: All in, it was $380. They finished the move in 3 hours ($297), and we tipped each dude $40. It was well worth it. The move was fast and it would've taken us ALL DAY if we had done it ourselves. CONCLUSION. This was great. If we move again I will hire San Jose Movers. read more

I had a very small move but decided to get a moving company to make sure it went smoothly as the housemate situation I was leaving was not a good one. I chose San Jose Movers from a list on a third party website since they said they provided packing material and wardrobe boxes. After a few initial short messages, the day and time of the move was set to my satisfaction. There was email and text message communication a few days before to confirm. And the movers called an hour before to let me know they were on the way. The two-person crew arrived on time. They efficiently packed my stuff and they were careful to ask about things that were not being moved. As it was raining, they put down protection for the floor and stairs at the entry. They loaded quickly and drove straight to the destination, which was only about 4 miles away, arriving at the same time as I did although we took slightly different routes. Again, they were considerate of the weather and entry/floors. They finished the move promptly and efficiently. Nothing was broken or lost. Even with the "double drive time" which added 15 minutes, and extra time hassling over a box spring that would not fit down the narrow stairs to come out of the house, they finished under the 3 hour minimum. There was an additional charge of $30 for use of the wardrobe boxes and some other boxes, but overall it was well worth the cost. The name of the movers IS confusing, and then I was asked to make the check out to an individual, so I was a little concerned about that. Clearly they do some subcontracting and they really should make that clear up front or pay their contractors out of their own bank account to keep things clean. But the check cleared okay and I received no further communication from San Jose movers other than asking me if the move went okay. I went from 5 to 4 stars due to this minor concern. I would recommend them, with the caveat from reading other reviews that you make sure you communicate with them and details are clear. read more

We scheduled our move for the end of January. I was wary because of the bad reviews on here, so I want to leave a good one since we didn't have a problem at all. The 3 movers arrived on time with the truck, were efficient in loading and helping break down the larger pieces of furniture. The movers themselves were friendly and professional. Unloading went smooth as well. Everything was done just about at 3 hrs to the dot. I'd recommend and/or use this company again. read more

My review is for All Pro Mover which I understand is listed under this company name. I had a last minute change in moving arrangements I had made with another company. They could not switch dates so I had to seek out another option with the clock ticking away. Hence my call to All Pro. I received the best customer service when making the arrangements. Unfortunately I lost the name of the gentlemen that was more than helpful during all my calls. All I can say is WOW even with yet another time change from my condo All Pro was able to make the adjustments. To further complicate things the Condo Association required some extra insurance security (really extra not the normal) and All Pro expedited the process and even gave me their direct connection to their insurance company so the association could verify the right insured level. The movers arrived on time and understood how to work with the condo association rules- lots of them. They were quick, careful and courteous. The price I was quoted is the price we paid. No hidden anything fees. We will use them again without a doubt. read more

I had a very good experience. 2 guys showed up. I had only furniture left, having moved most of my stuff by car since my new place was only a few blocks from my old place (upgrading to larger space for the fiancé :) The two guys were very professional and hard working. They wrapped up the furniture carefully, carted it down the stairs and up the stairs at the new place, and even moved a couple of large pieces left by the old tenants of the place I was moving into, which I thought was pretty cool. I would definitely recommend these guys, based on my experience. The whole thing (door to door) took about 6.5 hours. I thought it would take about 3, but when I saw how hard they were working, I obviously realized I had miscalculated, so I wasn't upset or anything. Good job guys! I'm happy to give you a good review for the work. read more

These movers were awesome. San Jose Movers moved furniture, clothes, miscellaneous items, etc. from a three story house to a two story apartment across town and nothing was broken, scratched or harmed in any way. They were professional, friendly and extremely hard-working. We would highly recommend them. We will be using them in the winter for another move. If there were only negative stars. Do not use these guys if you want a safe and timely move. First they don't send the email confirmation like they had promised. Then they do send one on the morning of the move and we think it's all good. So we wait from 1 to 7:30 pm on a Saturday (with a gazillion phone calls saying they will be here in an hour) only to have 4 guys arrive in a truck finally demanding that we use the 4 guys as against the 2 guys we had requested for our move at the 4guys rate/hour. We called the company only to get their answering machine. A few minutes we are called by another company that told us that our job had been outsourced by San Jose movers and that we either took the 4 guys or wait until the next morning for the 2 guys truck. Obviously unhappy about the situation, we explained to them that there was a commitment which they had to follow through. So these 4 guys go and then a half hour later a truck with 2 guys come with an excuse that the job could not be done that day. When we asked them what happened to their commitment, they demanded 500 bucks and a total move time of 5 hours from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom apartment in the same community. Trust me, San Jose movers are more like thugs than regular movers who genuinely want to help you. We called Oasis Movers later on after a friend's reference. They promised to move us between 12:30 - 1:00pm on Sunday. They came 1 and a half hours early which is exactly what we wanted. People who were one step ahead of us. They took extreme care in ensuring our furniture and things were safe. The total move took less than 3 hours at a rate of 90 bucks an hour for 3 guys. So the advice is - STAY AWAY FROM SAN JOSE MOVERS. read more

Ridiculous - Overall, My day was wasted and nothing got done! 1. They were late by 7 hours and didnt want to work. 2. DO NOT USE SAN JOSE MOVERS for your move. They lack professionalism, honesty, courtesy, and most important, integrity. They have no insurance and will tell you they do not need it. THAT IS A LIE! Mark (never received his last name or initial) was my contact and he lacked all of the above, professionalism, honesty, courtesy, and integrity. They let me know a day before my move they did not have insurance, and when I questioned how that could be, Mark had the nerve to get mad at me. Unbelievably bad customer service! Bottom line, do not use San Jose Movers, they are no bueno! read more

Horrible movers, should be the name of this company. It took 2 guys less than two hours to pack up my two bedroom apt from another company out of state. It took All Pro 4 hours with three guys to unload, then they wanted us to pay for thirty minutes extra as they sat around waiting for Lord knows what. On top of that they a broke a dresser by letting it fall and now they wont even cover the expense for the loss because we didn't immediately call the moment it happened. I agree with the other one star comment run far and fast as possible. read more

I'm Changing my review of San Jose Movers. You can tell a lot about a company how they react to a customer's concern/complaint/bad experience. I must say, San Jose Mover's handled it better than i ever expected. Didn't have the best move experience, but was assured it was an isolated incident, and they even reimbursed me almost all my money. That says they really do care about customer's. Mark the reservation's manager, and jessica the orginal reservations person i spoke with have such a great attitude, and a real genuine approach. Only reason it's not a 5 star is i still believe you get it right the first time, but they couldn't have handled a bad situation better, which to some might even be more important than just doing a good move. Thank you again Mark! read more

As a previous yelper mentioned I would give minus stars if I could. Awful service, rates went up as soon as they showed up at my door..I was stressed as it was with the whole moving process and I get the guy telling me that the rate has changed and all these weird excuses. To top it off my expensive furniture was damaged in the process! had I not gone down to check it out the movers would of made a quick exit. After playing phone tag for a week with the company and being told about an imaginary claims form being sent or that they would pay for my furniture I didn't even get a call back. For the same rate I could of gone with a more professional moving company. read more

Being the poor planners that I am, I called San Jose Movers about a week before we had to be out of our 3 bedroom house and they were able to fit me in. I was pretty nervous, but San Jose Movers were great. Other moving companies I talked to required credit card information and a deposit, not the case with San Jose Movers. They also sent me a reservation to my email that detailed everything related to my rates and charges. They communicated with me throughout the morning when they arrived and they came on time. They moved everything very efficiently and carefully. I expected to be annoyed at their speed since they get paid by the hour and I assumed they'd move a bit slower, but they kept a very fast pace. The four guys were all friendly as well. These guys did a terrific job and made it quite easier for me. read more

Hi folks. I used Pro Local Movers on 3/2/2012. They were amazing and friendly. I started my research for a move like everyone. I tried ProLocal Movers and they responded quickly to my query. Christy was very helpful on the phone. Within minutes I had a plan and date scheduled. I wondered whether to hire 3 or 4 movers, an option, and I settled on 4. The guys arrived on time and worked hard and quick to get things moved. They protected my leather sofa and chair very nicely. I made sure to buy enough tape and wrapping plastic and the movers used this, so there were no additional charges. BTW, I boxed everything myself. So, if you want a mover, Pro Local Movers is good. Lastly, sometimes people wonder if the reviews are real. Well this one is and if you wish to email me that is fine and I'll confirm my review. Good luck on your move. !!! read more

I am so glad I hired San Jose Movers. They were very professional from the start. They took great care with all of my furniture and boxes. I was really surprised how careful they were. They got everything down two flights of stairs without touching the walls or dropping anything. The lead was very courteous and always told me what they were doing and when they would be there. Moving is stressful - I am so glad San Jose Movers made it as easy as possible. Great job all the way around. read more
