SUMMARY Mover Pros is what all moving companies should be: professional. They moved me efficiently without any issues or games. If/when I move again, they're the ones I'm going to call. BEFORE THE MOVE My collection of stuff had grown to the point where I could no longer realistically move it all myself (even with friends). My second-floor one br apartment in Mountain View was full of stuff, and I was looking forward to moving to a two-bedroom apartment in Sunnyvale, closer to my work place. A good friend of mine, Emily, had just moved few weeks ago, and when talking to her she highly recommended to use the same company- Mover Pros. I went on-line to their website, www.moverpros.com filled out quote request, and got a call from Melissa in less than ten minutes!! She was very polite and knowledgeable. She suggested to do in-home estimate to avoid any surprises (at NO cost for me), came by the very same afternoon, took detailed inventory, explain to me how to prepare well, and gave me not-to-exceed price, so I knew how much (at most)my move will cost. Mover Pros didn't ask me for any deposit, they said all payment will be at the end of the move. A day before the move their dispatcher called me and confirm the move, saying they will be there between 8-10. LOADING THE TRUCK Having waited for Comcast technician before, I tend to be rather skeptical of multi-hour arrival "windows." But at 7:40 I got a call from Rafael, the crew leader, saying he is on route to my home and that he'll arrive in about 30 min. They arrived at 8:15 with a three-man team consisting of Rafael, Gabriel, and John. They were, simply put, amazing. First, they greet me with good morning and introduced themselves. They surveyed my vast inventory of multi-color and multi-size Rubbermaid and Sterilite containers, and got started loading the truck. They expertly disassembled my wood frame platform bed and my large desk. They wrapped all the furniture with moving pads, and packed my electronics in boxes (as I have told Melissa beforehand that I rather the movers to do so). Everything was loaded up by about 12pm. They were so fast! I offered to buy them lunch, but they say they don't want to waste my time and they will just eat something while driving. What a great consideration for customer's time! UNLOADING THE TRUCK While my Mountain View apartment was on the second floor, my new apartment was up three flights of fairly steep and narrow stairs. Given the location of the street versus the building, they also weren't able to park very close to the building. Nonetheless, with no complains and with a smile on their face, they proceeded quickly with unloading all of my stuff into my apartment and reassembling my bed and desk. They were finished by around 2:30pm. Despite the stairs and the fast pace, NOTHING was damaged,. Given how heavy - and sometimes awkward - my stuff and containers were, I find it extraordinary how they managed to keep everything intact (furniture, lamps, canvas art, etc.). They also were great about making sure the labels on my containers were facing outwards, so I'd be able to more easily figure out which container housed what items when unpacking later. COST In the end, my total bill came out to 7.5 hours of work at $119/hour (includes transit time between my apartments) + $125 for all the packing I've asked them for. The estimate I got from Melissa was for 8.5 hrs. So it was nice to pay LESS than expected. The fear with hourly movers is that they'll dilly-dally and not try to work very hard or fast, since they get paid more the longer it drags on. This was definitely not the case with Mover Pros ... they moved everything as fast as they could while still being careful not to damage things. I also tipped them $40/each, the tip was well-deserved, and my moving crew never even so much gave a hint that they expected a tip. CONCLUSION Mover Pros arrived on-time, loaded and unloaded my stuff quickly and carefully, disassembled and reassembled my bed and desk correctly, all at a competitive no-nonsense rate. Ca Mover Professionals is a completely reputable company. So honest about everything I would experience. They didn't even try to drag out the move so I would pay more. It was pretty much exactly 3 hours which really helped me financially. And for ALL the work they did! I was so impressed with Anton and his crew. They are hard workers and I can't imagine having to do that every day. You are brave souls. I can not express enough how easy you made my life. With the move, moving our work office and having to give our dog away, it was a blessing that I was able to catch one lucky break. A huge shout out to Anton . He was so great at coordinating everything. He even helped the guys move when needed. Very professional and respectful of our time, money and valuables. Once everything was said and done, I got a call from Melissa who asked about how our move went. It was so nice to get a call a few days after to see how things went because I had nothing but great things to say. Every single person at that company is a gem. This is a great company. If you are looking to move the best thing you can do for yourself is hire movers to move your shit. Pack your boxes before hand, Have money for tip and waters on hand to reward them for their hard work. They are literally moving your whole life for you. Another tip that actually came from my husband is to ask before hand what size the truck is. It never occurred to me to ask so I was stressing that it would be a small truck and that would be the catch: that it's a small truck so they would have to make multiple trips and thus, would jack up the price but even that was true to their honor. The truck was large and we were able to do everything in one trip. Overall, a great experience. They make great time in a 26-foot truck. The Yelp deal was awesome. Recommended! read more

Mover Pros are great long distant movers. There were no damages to my belongings at all. The movers were kind, courteous, and professional. There were also no hidden charges. I have moved several times and it can be a real headache. I started to try and do this move myself, but with it being such a long distance and since I have so many things it would have been pretty tough, especially since it was last minute move, It was really a relief to have someone else do it for me. Moving is still pretty stressful but at least using Mover Pros  removed some of the stress involved. Mover Pros got it done with no problems. They are the best movers. If I ever need to move again, I will definitely be calling Mover Pros to get the job dome. I cannot stress enough how awesome it was to work with Christie. It is really a relief to know that all my things are being handled with care and will be delivered the same way they were when they were packed. If only this company could take care of finding a new place to live, taking care of charge of address forms, and setting up all my utilities. That would be a dream come true. Nobody likes moving. It sucks. Imagine having to move an office of about 25 people - desks, chairs, shelving, ping pong table .... yeah, you get it. There was no way I wasn't going to call movers in for this job. I shopped around and got 4 quotes - figured that would give me a good idea at what this should cost. Mover Pros came in with the lowest price by a LOT. Not to mention, their customer service was outstanding. They even called after the move to make sure everything went smoothly and to find out if there were any issues. On the day of the move, our movers arrived promptly at 7am after calling to confirm and swiftly got to work. They took great care with the furniture and equipment - absolutely nothing was damaged. The actual move took a little longer than quoted, but this was to be expected because we had actually left more stuff for them to move than anticipated. Plus, an Olympic grade ping pong table which had to be disassembled and wrapped with cardboard before transporting ... Ay yay yay. The guys really earned their dollars. Basically, we had a great experience. I don't think I'll ever move myself again and can only hope that if I have to go with another company, that they'll be as good as Mover Pros. read more

These guys were PHENOMENAL!!!! To be honest, I was quoted slightly less by a few other companies, but I went with Mover Pros because of their professional response via email and phone. Before I even met them, I could already tell that I could trust them with my personal belongings. I moved from a third floor walk-up in Sunnyvale to an apartment in Mountain View. They were exactly on time, moved my stuff in one and a half hour and were done with the whole move in under three and a half hours!!. I wasn't as ready as I could have been and they were okay with my last minute additions and allowed me to survey whether I needed to add anything else several times before they finished. They were extremely fast and polite, and the price was affordable (the estimate was what it wound up costing). Anyway, I recommend these guys to everyone anytime they ask for movers, and a few of my friends have followed through on the recommendation and have nothing but great things to say about them. If you're looking for a mover, call them, you'd be stupid not to. But I must reiterate--they book fast because they are so g-damn wonderful, so don't waste your time! read more

I was having trouble finding a moving company in the Bay Area who would even respond to my requests for bookings, let alone give me a quote. Originally I called Two Men and a Truck, but they were very slow to correspond. In a pinch with only a couple days left to vacate my apartment, I emailed several more moving companies and Mover Pros was the only one to promptly get back to me. Christie responded right away with options and pricing, via phone call, email, and text message. I was able to get the move scheduled the coming weekend, in the time slot I wanted. The movers called ahead of time and showed up promptly when they said they would. They were very courteous and extremely professional. Rafael carefully pointed out all of the items they would charge for, and what the prices would be, including how travel time is billed. They moved my 2-bedroom into a townhome (with stairs!) in only 5 hours including transit time. Not a scratch on anything! Melissa scheduled an appointment to walk through the house and prepare an accurate estimate for us. The pricing was very competitive with other services. She showed up on time, sent the quote within 24 hours and followed up with me after the move. The day of the move, we had 2 trucks show up with 4 guys to move our 3 bedroom/1car house in San Jose to a 4 bedroom 2 car garage house in Gilroy. The foreman Rafael introduced himself and the team, we went over the paperwork and the guys got down to packing the truck. They taped the boxes, put protective blankets over the couches, fridge, etc... These guys are Pros! They had the house packed and ready to go in 4 hours.. Mover Pros Give us a phenomenal, quick quote for our move, and provided three movers who worked hard to pack up our 3000 sq ft home and move us into our new 1400 sq ft home. Mlissa was especially communicative and responsive. On the day of our move, they showed up on time and ready to work, and were not the least bit concerned when they saw that we didn't really have any boxes packed yet (and that we had a ton of stuff!) All of the packing, loading, driving, and unpacking was done in a single day, with no worries for us. I just pointed to where things needed to go, and we were all moved in. This was especially important for us since we were moving with a newborn baby, who needed constant care and attention. Where to start...I was coordinating the move for my parents, and the move date changed several times before the actual date was set. I was in pretty much constant email contact with Melissa, who answered all of my questions quickly, and assured me that they would able to facilitate the move as long I let them know the date as soon as I knew it. Finally got the solid move date, and it was a Sunday. The movers showed up on time at 8am and worked their tail ends off for FOURTEEN HOURS! Very professional, very careful with the old furniture, even at 10pm, when they finished, they were very helpful with the finishing touches and explaining everything on the bill. I would recommend the company to anyone needing a moving company. They did not over charge for materials or work slowly to charge for more time. They hustled and worked hard and answered questions as needed. They shrink wrapped the items needed and also used blankets for other items. On moving day, the crew was perfectly on time (showed up at 8:15 a.m. in a 7:30-9 window). The lead guy, Francisco, was clearly in charge (very professional) and did a walk-through of our home before they got started. They were FAST and shrink-wrapped everything carefully. We moved from a two-story town home, and they started upstairs with the heavier stuff and worked their way down through the garage where a huge pile of boxes was. They were clearly very experienced because they did all of this without pausing. They shrink-wrapped/padded all of our furniture. Upon arriving at our new home, they did an excellent job putting things away in a bigger house with a lot of stuff having to go up the stairs to the second floor. They were fast, fast, fast and only nicked a couple of cheap pieces of furniture. I expected something like that with a move so it was no big deal. read more

We used Mover Pros when relocating out of San Jose. Moving sucks and is really stressful but working with Angie was really a pleasure. Mover pros gave us a great price and good service, I'd definitely recommend them as a moving company to anyone in the area who needs to relocate. They packed our 2 bedroom house into boxes, they showed up on time, with a nice truck. They quickly loaded our sea of boxes into the truck, much better than any other moving service I've used before. We didn't need to talk to them much only to give them some quick instructions, but they followed them to the letter and none of our stuff was damaged. They did a great job unpacking as well. Believe the hype. These guys were not only FAST, but really pleasant and very reasonably priced. Totally good-natured, despite the sweltering heat! The least stressful part of my moving was the actual move, thanks to Mover Pros guys. I could hardly believe it when they said they'd finished. And everything was wrapped up and handled well. They quoted the time of the job to be 5-7 hours and they were done in 5.5. It was the fastest move I have ever experienced, and they were friendly and had great attitudes the whole time. You can tell that these guys actually enjoy their jobs. I really can't say the same for most movers I have used in the past! They even high-fived me at the end. Mover Pros are great. I had to change my move date more than three times, and each time they cheerfully adjusted to my needs. My move was over 150 miles, so it was a full day event. There was a lot to load but they had four guys lined up, and they were on the job and moving from morning until night. They took great care in being careful with my stuff, and if I pointed out special care requirements, they followed my instructions regarding those needs. I give them a high rating, and think they are a good company all around. Their people are professional, and long-term employees (I asked), so they don't just hire some "labor" on the day of the job. Also, Agustin helped fix a small problem with our dryer in the new house (totally unrelated to the move!). eric, the owner, was also excellent in communicating our needs and was very quick to reply to any questions I had before the move. It was great that he was able to accommodate our move in such short notice! He also followed up after the move to make sure everything was OK. Had a good experience with CA Mover Pros. Andres and Adrian were the movers. They were polite and professional. The movers came on time. They didn't waste any time, quickly got on to work and were fast and efficient. They were moving as many boxes as possible between each trip to the truck and my house. They also made sure that they don't dirty the carpet. They threw a blanket on the carpet and walked only on that. Many movers don't move plants. These guys readily offered to help move the plants too. The didn't charge me for anything extra. It was just the minimum per hour charge and no hidden surprises.
