Very good service, I'll definitely use them again if I ever have to ship another car. I used this company to ship my car from the Bay Area to Austin, TX in early August. I arranged with them for the driver to drop off my car at a storage terminal in Austin since I wouldn't be able to meet with the driver in-person to pick up the car. I dropped off my car at the Burlingame office after hours on a Sunday, the car was picked up from their office on Tuesday and arrived in Austin on Thursday. I flew into Austin on Saturday and picked up my car from the storage terminal. The car arrived in great shape! Arranging this service with them was very easy, and they were very happy to answer any questions I had. 3 stars, but maybe closer to 3.5. Used All American Trucking to transport my car from the Bay Area to Southern California. Estimation and scheduling process went well. They will give you a 3-day or so range of when someone can come by and also call you about a day before when someone is confirmed to pick up your car. Now the part where I drop two stars: No one ever contacted me. I had to call a few times and found out that my order wasn't put in some sort of scheduling system. Then also found out that my car was going to get picked up the day after that call. All of this was happening as I was trying to schedule a bunch of other things since I was moving out. Not fun. I was also given a rough ETA on when the car would be delivered, but also expected someone to contact me they day before and I heard nothing until about an hour or so before drop off. Car was delivered just as I left it and nothing bad to say about the drivers -- who were all patient and helpful as I lived on a super steep hill. The lady calling me once a week to keep me updated about my vehicle whereabouts was very nice and actually cared. The only downside was when I picked up the vehicle at a lot in Springfield, Massachusetts. The attendee (not the driver) was asking for a tip. He specifically said $20 in tip. I would like to express my appreciation for MoveAuto. I used them to transport my vehicle from CA to NC in Nov/Dec 2022. From the beginning of communication, they were clear about details, courteous, and very professional. They gave me a quote and when the cost of gasoline went down over the next few days they adjusted the quote down by $80. They had all the paperwork on hand and all filled out - the transfer only took 15 minutes. The travel time for the vehicles was variable (about 5 days) but they contacted me every 2 days to give me an update. When the date of delivery was on a day I could not be available (family funeral) they arranged for a depot to accept the vehicle (no cost to me) without me relinquishing their liability for damages during transport - which there was none. I've used auto transport services twice in my life. Once was an absolute nightmare (search my reviews if you want to learn more). This was an absolute breeze. I'd work with them again and highly recommend. We called several places to learn about pricing and logistical options. All American had the best price AND the best options for short-term storage, drop-off and pick-up. We did a terminal to door move (they even offered to pay for our ride to public transit when we made the drop-off at the terminal). We were kept in the loop via email every step of the process. When we hit a snag (our car arrived EARLIER than it was supposed to and we weren't in our new city to pick it up), they found a solution immediately and kept our worries at bay. They worked with us to pick up over a weekend and communicated very well via email/phone/in-person. Car was in the exact same condition (just a little dustier) and we were pleased with all the people we worked with at every touchpoint along the way. After all was said and done, I responded to their request for feedback and I mentioned that we incurred a bit of additional cost to pick-up our car because it was held at a terminal instead of delivered to our door, as initially specified. They followed up immediately with an apology for the bit of confusion and reimbursed us for the extra cost. It was my first time shipping my car (moved from the Bay to NYC and had to send my car down to my parents' home in SoCal) and Patrick and Daniela, my assigned customer service rep, were both super responsive, caring, and helpful. Tbh I was worried about my boomer dad being the one to pick up the car, in case anything confusing happened to him and him having to deal with it without me there in-person; to my surprise, when I FaceTimed my parents just 2 days after I dropped off my car in Burlingame (very early morning Friday, 8/21), they nonchalantly mentioned my car was dropped off earlier in the afternoon of Sunday, 8/23. I paid $848 to have a 2003 Toyota Camry shipped that 500 or so miles from the Bay to the San Diego area. They made what I thought was going to be a stressful experience during a big move DUMB easy. I worked with a fairly inexperienced and young associate who initially quoted $1795 and a 7 day timeframe for delivery. There was no cash discount, no working together on price and the timeline was extended to 7 to 10 to 12 days. I decided to go with an excellent broker named Shawn with Coastal Transport who was able to get me a rate $145 less and a 5 day transport time from drop off to delivery. I would like to commend All American Transport (specifically Frankie Chiu and Winston Ferrari) for delivering not just my vehicle from Boston to LA, but also solid, reliable, and excellent service. At first I used a general mass quote website and got tons of replies from various shippers. I immediately learned the following: - There is a high variance in quality of service you get in this industry because most of the time the company you are dealing with is a middleman of sorts, scheduling and arranging transport with actual truck drivers. This leaves quality control difficult as the truck drivers aren't tied to a specific company. - Pick up and drop off dates usually can't be guaranteed far in advance. - Some transport companies are scummy and will take advantage of you if you don't go in with some knowledge. For example, many shipping companies that require a deposit will treat you like trash after they take the deposit. Some even go as far to move pick up days around. Some companies have hidden fees that they slap on later. It was great I reached out to AAT because they alleviated all of my concerns. First, I explained to Frankie that I had a tight timeline and any delays in pickup would more than likely result in missing my flight. Therefore, it was extremely important that I have a well defined pickup window of time that would not be pushed back. He was able to guarantee a 3 day window, which was extremely impressive given other competing transport companies do 5 - 7 day windows. AAT is also a middleman company but Frankie explained that due to being in the business so long, they have a network of drivers with established records. This is why they have such high service quality. Of course, this is backed up by the copious amount of 5 star reviews here (interestingly enough they never asked me to write a review as I thought they did of all their customers since they have so many reviews so these must be genuine). I decided to trust AAT given their track record and Frankie's straightforward answers. It didn't seem like he was trying to sell me anything or make me commit to using AAT. Rather, he was just being helpful. The pickup day turned out to be the first day of the window. I had a good feeling since they were so prompt. Winston kept in touch through the pickup and dropoff process. When I picked up the car, it was fairly clean considering it had been on open transport. The only thing that would have made this experience 110% would be if they offered periodic updates on where the car is. They made it very clear at any point in time I could call and ask but it would just be nice if this were an automated text. Winston was also extremely helpful in getting me information about luggage weight limitations and how to maximize what I pack. Concise, prompt responses. This should be how business is done everywhere. I am grateful to AAT, Frankie, and Winston for making this process smooth and stress free. I was extremely skeptical of transport companies but If I ever have vehicles to ship, I am definitely coming back to All American Transport! Look no further, my experience, along with that of many others should speak for itself. The only thing is that they are a bit more expensive than competing transport companies but honestly they're upfront about the cost and provide great service so it is more than worth it. Transport: Bay Area, CA to Virginia Payment: They gave us a quote (all inclusive) with no hidden fees. Very smooth and transparent through credit card. The quote was a bit more compared to other companies, but the fact that they were transparent and had no hidden fees made us confident in the purchase. I have heard that other companies quote lower and add surprise fees (sometimes upon arrival). The price of the quote was the price we paid. Note: we gave them the credit card info prior to pick up and it was charged right after the car was picked up, but before the delivery. Pick up: Instead of the regular pickup from a custom location, we dropped off the car at there headquarters in Burlingame a day before pickup. They allow drop off anytime and will do a car inspection with you if you drop off during business hours (I recommend this). In transit: They gave me a point of contact to ask questions throughout the trip. Delivery: It arrived quick. 1 week! The night before, they texted me their estimated time of arrival (1 hour window) and location. This was accurate and was easy to plan for the night before. There was a final inspection as well. The car was a bit dirty, (expected for open trailer), but no damages. Website: The info on their website was accurate and informative.
