I had been recommended MoveAuto by my movers and they had very good ratings so I was looking forward to working with them and having a smooth experience. It's too bad that they are more excited to collect your payment than they are to actually transport your car. Yes, my car was picked up and delivered quickly and without any scratches but it was a stressful pick up experience. I called Monica several times to get better details about the pickup and clarify a few things and she did not pick up a single time nor did she respond to any of my text messages. I was charged for the pick up hours before my car had even been loaded onto a truck. I don't blame them for the delay that the driver had getting to my house and loading during a storm, but it was very stressful having no communication with the company during the pickup process. Another thing to note is that although I had originally requested 2 vehicles to be moved and specified they would be moved on separate days, they did not have this information in their system and I was being charged a higher price later on for the second car due to driver shortages. But our expectations were far exceeded. We are moving from Northern Oregon to Santa Clarita, CA and wanted to ship one car ahead so my husband and I could drive down in one car. We were given a three-day window for pickup. We got a call from the driver, John, the day before pick-up saying that he could pick up a day early -this was great news for us because we had a lot going on over the next few days. John took pictures of the car before loading it into a single-car, enclosed trailer that John towed behind his truck. John happened to live in Santa Clarita and knew exactly where our Son and DIL lived (the drop off point). He left Oregon around 2 pm on Wednesday and delivered the vehicle around 6 pm on Thursday. Phenomenal! John communicated along the way. When he arrived to deliver the car, our DIL was struggling with a sick 3-year-old and a teething 10-month-old and he had compassion to see that she could use a little help. He asked her where she wanted the car, pulled it into her garage, took more photos and then sent the info to my husband for confirmation. It was really a seamless process. DO NOT USE!!!!! I paid them extra $400 for an inoperable '74 VW bus and the driver had the nerve to ask me to push the vehicle on both ends of the move, despite the salesman Patrick O'Connor asserting that the fee would cover any extra equipment (tow truck, flatbed, etc) to get the vehicle from garage to garage. This was a cross-country move, so in the moment, I had no choice but to help the guy since we were under a tight timeline to complete the move. I spent $8K in total for multiple cars and after explaining our experience to the "manager" and simply asking for the $400 to be refunded, she denied the request. I learned later (from the driver) that he was never informed of the inoperable status of the bus and any additional equipment would have come out of his 30% commission. They also never complied with the day before notice on each end of when pick-up and delivery would happen. The driver living in his truck with his family of four probably should have tipped me off that this would be the MOST STRESSFUL moving experience of my life. BUYER BEWARE!!!! read more

I was nervous about moving my Honda Civic from SF to Boston, but Moveauto delivered. They worked with a third-party provider called TransAuto, which was the company that actually operated the cross-country car carrier. The driver who initially took the car marked up the form where they note preexisting damage to the car with so many dings, even for tiny scratches of a couple of millimeters, that I felt super worried it would arrive with many new dents. Later I realized he was just covering his bases in case we complained when it was dropped off. We got the car ten days later, a little earlier than we expected, in great shape. I recently purchased a vehicle online that was located in Florida. I needed moved to California, so I went looking for a transport company to get the vehicle. Moveauto was actually recommended by a friend who moved from California to Florida and had a good experience, so I decided to go with them. I first dealt with Frankie, who was very professional and provided me with the cost to move the vehicle. The price was a little higher than other companies I received quotes from, but I still decided to go with them since they were local to me. Frankie then coordinated with the dealership that had my vehicle and I received an estimated date for pickup. Kayla was my transport coordinator and she too was awesome in her dealings with me. She kept me informed when the vehicle was picked up on 8/27 and I was given a delivery date of 9/3. Unfortunately, things did not move smoothly after that as my actual delivery of the vehicle was 9/9. I was past the 10 days of their estimated delivery dates, but within the guaranteed 14 days from original date of loading. Apparently, the truck used to transport my vehicle had 2 major breakdowns between Florida and California! Also, the link I used to track the location of my vehicle stopped working after the estimated delivery date. It wouldn't have been that bad if the tracking link still worked. At least I would know where my $45K investment was! When the car arrived, it was dirty, which was to be expected, and also one other problem. Somewhere along the way it picked up a nail in the front tire, which I had to get repaired. Not meeting the delivery date of 9/3 and losing the tracking link were the main reasons for the 4 star rating. Otherwise had everything gone as planned, the extra star would have been provided. I would still use moveauto again, only if they don't assign me the company that they used to transport my vehicle. read more
