Toward the end of January I moved from Cali to NC. I originally had my mustang scheduled to be picked up the day before I flew back by some other company I found on Google. The day it was supposed to be picked up the driver was no where to be found at the scheduled time and they said they could get it but the price would be essentially doubled. I told them to shove it and had to fly back to NC without my car being picked up or even having an idea when it would be picked up. I found moveauto via the BBB and gave them a call and was met on the other line by Stephanie. She was a God-send. She helped arrange a pickup for my car within a few days, around a time that worked for my old roommates work schedule, and didnt leave me hanging. Monica and Ashley were tremendous as well with communicating updates to my roommate and I. Even the driver was amazing, I expected to have to come out and show him where to go but I came out and he had the car already parked in a spot at my apartment complex ready to sign for. The whole staff I dealt with truly turned a nightmare of a situation into a smooth experience and thankfully I didn'thave to go long without my car. When my car was stolen a couple months ago, I just assumed it was the end of me owning a car for a while. But I'm a teacher, I need to get to school to work, and public transit is not a viable option for the schools where I teach. I almost never reach out to my family if I have problems, but this time I did (I had no idea what to do). And, miracle of miracles, our family had a car available that my father had convinced one of my step siblings not to trade in. With proper care, this car will (easily) last another 15 years. So now we had to coordinate moving this miracle car from NJ to MN. My father did the original rounds of research, saying the price would be about $1k and might take a couple months to get here. Months?! Every day the car wasn't here was another day I couldn't work. I like paying my bills and eating food sometimes. I contacted the U.S. Consumer Auto Transport Authority to see if I could do better than "months", and they referred me to MoveAuto. MoveAuto was a couple hundred more than the basement priced companies (which were quoting about $1k), but here's the difference - instead of being a broker like the cheap guys, trying for weeks to recruit a driver to transport your car at insanely low rates, MoveAuto has their own drivers. This means you don't have to guess too much when it comes to when the car will get to you. I got a hold of them Friday, and they picked up the car from my dad at 8 a.m. Monday morning. The car was with me by Wednesday, with no damage at all. I have to add that my father is a very strong-willed and occasionally truculent older fellow, and MoveAuto did a great job at telling him what he had to do before shipping while treating him with respect. I am so grateful to MoveAuto for removing the stress from a very stressful situation. I've had my car for almost a month now, and every day I am grateful to have it. This company -- unlike other companies -- could actually guarantee me a pickup and delivery date rather than providing a range of days. This business got my car picked up in Washington when they said they would , they got it to the holding location a day early in Denver and the new transporter got my car picked up surprisingly in a enclosed trailer and got it here within 24 hours of pickup in Denver . It's a very confusing industry with many companies that sell hard but drop the ball when it comes to communication & service. MoveAuto seems to be an exception. I was nervous about moving my Honda Civic from SF to Boston, but Moveauto delivered. They worked with a third-party provider called TransAuto, which was the company that actually operated the cross-country car carrier. The driver who initially took the car marked up the form where they note preexisting damage to the car with so many dings, even for tiny scratches of a couple of millimeters, that I felt super worried it would arrive with many new dents. Later I realized he was just covering his bases in case we complained when it was dropped off. We got the car ten days later, a little earlier than we expected, in great shape. I recently purchased a vehicle online that was located in Florida. I needed moved to California, so I went looking for a transport company to get the vehicle. Moveauto was actually recommended by a friend who moved from California to Florida and had a good experience, so I decided to go with them. I first dealt with Frankie, who was very professional and provided me with the cost to move the vehicle. The price was a little higher than other companies I received quotes from, but I still decided to go with them since they were local to me. Frankie then coordinated with the dealership that had my vehicle and I received an estimated date for pickup. Kayla was my transport coordinator and she too was awesome in her dealings with me. She kept me informed when the vehicle was picked up on 8/27 and I was given a delivery date of 9/3. Unfortunately, things did not move smoothly after that as my actual delivery of the vehicle was 9/9. I was past the 10 days of their estimated delivery dates, but within the guaranteed 14 days from original date of loading. Apparently, the truck used to transport my vehicle had 2 major breakdowns between Florida and California! Also, the link I used to track the location of my vehicle stopped working after the estimated delivery date. It wouldn't have been that bad if the tracking link still worked. At least I would know where my $45K investment was! When the car arrived, it was dirty, which was to be expected, and also one other problem. Somewhere along the way it picked up a nail in the front tire, which I had to get repaired. Not meeting the delivery date of 9/3 and losing the tracking link were the main reasons for the 4 star rating. Otherwise had everything gone as planned, the extra star would have been provided. I would still use moveauto again, only if they don't assign me the company that they used to transport my vehicle. read more

Dave our driver originally started his journey from Florida, picked up vehicles along the East Coast, went to Pennsylvania to pick up mine, made some more stops in Colorado and finally made it to the Bay Area. I really commend his patience and safety in bringing our car out to us. When we spoke to him on his arrival, he was friendly, open and passionate about his job. He shared with us his experience bringing our vehicle from one side of the US to the other. My wife was so happy to finally receive her car and it arrived in the most pristine condition. I'm glad that we opted for enclosed transport as Dave pointed out that he drove through 2 snow storms on his way from Pennsylvania to the Bay Area. I think the extra fee was well worth it to avoid any damages to our vehicle. Frankie Chiu was very instrumental and help setup my request from the very start. I needed an auto transport to bring my daughter's car back from Texas to the Peninsula. Patrick was so straight-forward and honest with me from the very beginning. His quote was not the cheapest but I've learned the hard way, that the truism, "you get what you pay for" really applies to car transport companies. Best of all MoveAuto is local and near where I live, so when the car is delivered back, they are willing to hang onto the car until I could get it. From the very beginning Patrick and Monica kept me fully informed about when and how the car was going to be picked up in Texas. We set a target date for pick up and lo and behold, the driver came on the exact day that was designated. this is my 2nd review after reading the owners response. My exp w/ this business was a terrible. I have decided it was not worth the time or money to challenge them legally or otherwise. My recommendation would be to do your homework carefully. Forbes has a website that lists the best and worst auto movers. Move Auto is not even recognized. My sense is it's a fly-by-night operation. There is no hands on involvement. They are contractors; not actual movers. Whatever positive reviews you see on YELP are in all likelihood fake profiles easily created on the internet giving themselves 5 stars over and over again. A smart choice would be to ignore the 5 stars and read what the displeased reviews say. I've had high- end cars moved back and forth cross country at least 10 times in the last 17 yrs. This was the only bad exp. I've ever had. Some of the responsibility falls on the company who moved my belongings not telling me that they contract w/ move auto who then sub-contract with an unknown entity based in Ohio and operated by non English speaking persons with sub-standard rigs. We learn more from our mistakes. I won't make this mistake again and if 1 person see's this and looks elsewhere I will have rectified a big mistake. MOVEAUTO IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY !! read more

I am in the military and needed a vehicle transported to my new home. The driver arrived the earliest day they projected, he called a day before hand, called before showing up. I couldn't ask for anything better. Not only that, I ended up falling behind in my travels and the vehicle was going to arrive a day before I got there. I painlessly talked with the Transport Coordinator and what I thought was going to be a huge headache ended up being painless. The Transport Coordinator got in contact with the driver, changed the plan for him to drop off the vehicle at a local Walmart (my decision) and I was lucky enough to have had my sponsor their to pick up the keys. Which I think he could have also dropped it off without anyone being there as long as I gave consent, which I didn't know they could do but in the end, know that made life so much easier. All of that was planned out the night before, through text, 8pm on a Friday or Saturday. My car was the exact same as when I left it. Nothing visual, I followed their directions and closed all air vents inside the car before the travel so there were no smells in the car - everything just worked out wonderfully.
