I received very detailed and clear instructions about how the car should be prepped, i.e., close vents, how much weight I could load in the car, etc. The truck driver was also very courteous and accommodating. Toward the end of January I moved from Cali to NC. I originally had my mustang scheduled to be picked up the day before I flew back by some other company I found on Google. The day it was supposed to be picked up the driver was no where to be found at the scheduled time and they said they could get it but the price would be essentially doubled. I told them to shove it and had to fly back to NC without my car being picked up or even having an idea when it would be picked up. I found moveauto via the BBB and gave them a call and was met on the other line by Stephanie. She was a God-send. She helped arrange a pickup for my car within a few days, around a time that worked for my old roommates work schedule, and didnt leave me hanging. Monica and Ashley were tremendous as well with communicating updates to my roommate and I. Even the driver was amazing, I expected to have to come out and show him where to go but I came out and he had the car already parked in a spot at my apartment complex ready to sign for. this is my 2nd review after reading the owners response. My exp w/ this business was a terrible. I have decided it was not worth the time or money to challenge them legally or otherwise. My recommendation would be to do your homework carefully. Forbes has a website that lists the best and worst auto movers. Move Auto is not even recognized. My sense is it's a fly-by-night operation. There is no hands on involvement. They are contractors; not actual movers. Whatever positive reviews you see on YELP are in all likelihood fake profiles easily created on the internet giving themselves 5 stars over and over again. A smart choice would be to ignore the 5 stars and read what the displeased reviews say. I've had high- end cars moved back and forth cross country at least 10 times in the last 17 yrs. This was the only bad exp. I've ever had. Some of the responsibility falls on the company who moved my belongings not telling me that they contract w/ move auto who then sub-contract with an unknown entity based in Ohio and operated by non English speaking persons with sub-standard rigs. We learn more from our mistakes. I won't make this mistake again and if 1 person see's this and looks elsewhere I will have rectified a big mistake. MOVEAUTO IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY !! read more

I am in the military and needed a vehicle transported to my new home. The driver arrived the earliest day they projected, he called a day before hand, called before showing up. I couldn't ask for anything better. Not only that, I ended up falling behind in my travels and the vehicle was going to arrive a day before I got there. I painlessly talked with the Transport Coordinator and what I thought was going to be a huge headache ended up being painless. The Transport Coordinator got in contact with the driver, changed the plan for him to drop off the vehicle at a local Walmart (my decision) and I was lucky enough to have had my sponsor their to pick up the keys. Which I think he could have also dropped it off without anyone being there as long as I gave consent, which I didn't know they could do but in the end, know that made life so much easier. All of that was planned out the night before, through text, 8pm on a Friday or Saturday. My car was the exact same as when I left it. Nothing visual, I followed their directions and closed all air vents inside the car before the travel so there were no smells in the car - everything just worked out wonderfully. What a terrible experience. We received a call from the truck driver and agreed to meet to pick up our car. He couldn't specify a time and said 20 minutes or maybe not and started laughing. He called when he arrived at the pickup location and I told him I needed to call an uber and would be there in 10 no more than 15 minutes. He pouted and then hung up on us. Over the course of the next 15 minutes he repeatedly harassed us blowing up our phone over and over and over again while we were headed to the pick up spot complaining to us that he didn't like waiting. He then got his assistant to start bothering us as well. Even when we picked up our vehicle he continued to verbally harass us because he said we were inconveniencing "him" and continued to make confrontational and harassing comments. This was after waiting 10 days for our car from 3 states over. This was absolutely unacceptable. And you guys should be ashamed of yourselves. This company can go to hell. read more

She was empathetic and didn't make excuses for why my driver had given me false updates and predictions. While the experience was less than ideal, the positive was that my car was picked up and dropped off without any damages or missing items. The second time, over a week ago, I once again explained the situation to the person Alex who answered. He transferred me to your voicemail because he said you were on the phone. He also said he was going to send you an email. Thx for your help Alex--you tried. Finally I received a text from you on Friday telling me you would "give me a ring" on Monday when you returned. Was I to interpret that ring to be the following Monday (that would be this week), a week from Monday, some Monday next year???? Today is Friday--well beyond Monday and radio silence from you. So once again I have to say the customer service--specifically at the high management level--is nonexistent. I am out $500 for a deductible I paid for damage to my car that was caused by the transporter Move Auto used. Jillian, your condescending notes to me to use more traditional methods of communication are ridiculous and badgering. My initial methods of communication to Move Auto were telephone calls, emails, certified letters (all of which were refused and returned). How much more traditional does it get. So I turned to YELP to try to give others a heads up for what they may encounter. You told me to use a more traditional method of communication and call which I have done twice.
