Overall our experience was good, but I don't think I would use them again. A little background: It was a super hot day, and I felt bad for the movers. They didn't seem to have water or proper PPE for the weather. The positive: Movers were on time and ready to work! Items were moved carefully, but they probably could have used a third worker based on the items we had. I feel I was transparent with how much items we had including heavy items. The negative: Two movers were not enough based on the items we had including heavy items. The move took much longer than expected. Movers seemed really irritated the whole time, which I can't tell if it was from the heat or we did something wrong. Movers also left garbage behind and we had to clean up after. Usually the moving company will follow up after to see how things went, but we never heard from Nancy. Nancy also said she would come to check in during the move, but never did. We paid, and it was done. I think overall, it was a fine experience, but not to the level of other moving companies I've worked with before. Based on the more recent reviews, it looks like some improvements have been made which is great!

Katie at Changing Places, whom I had engaged first, advised me that the house did not warrant a full estate sale and referred me to Dominic for the clearing and the donation items. That referral proved to be as valuable as her counsel. Dominic and the two members of his crew were thorough, efficient, fast, and accommodating from beginning to end. He worked the job himself rather than simply directing it, which I noticed and appreciated. What I did not anticipate was how the day would feel. I stood there watching my childhood get loaded onto a truck, and it felt as though family was helping me rather than a crew executing a contract. On that particular day, that mattered more than anything else they could have done for me. Another thing that mattered to me was where the items ultimately went. The donations were routed to places where they could actually be used rather than to a landfill, which mattered a great deal to me because those were my mother's belongings and not junk. On top of that, they donate a portion of their profits to breast cancer research and other worthy causes. I did not hire them for that reason, but it tells you a great deal about the kind of people they are. If you are facing the task of clearing a home, I wholeheartedly recommend Dominic and Think Pink and Green. I felt bad for the kid so I didnt complain but I felt a little jaded after paying $500 because I had to pay for their truck to be refueled from Petaluma to Santa Rosa and back.
