The service was polite and prompt, several people working behind the counter making sandwiches as quickly as they could... our order of two sandwiches took about 15 minutes. They were both noticeably stacked with meat and plenty of toppings, piping hot from the oven! It was quite nice! I made it a point to pop my head over counter before we left and let them all know how good our sandwiches were and they immediately perked up with the accolades! Sometimes it's the little things that can make someone's work day! We don't make it to that side of town very often but I wouldn't hesitate to go back when we do! I also really liked seeing that they donated over $130k to Public Safety in Anchorage in January of this year!!

I asked them to check and was told their system updated and that was the actual price. I asked for a refund of the difference. No can do according to the 17yo manager. I returned the order for a full refund instead. Asked for a receipt on my credit and was told that was impossible. I asked how I could prove anything if my refund does not go through. Blank stares and finally told to fuck off when I refused to leave without a receipt. Incredible and ludicrous. Never ever go to Firehouse.

I wasn't thinking and ordered it with pastrami instead of corned beef. So this is not a true comparison to other Reuben sandwiches I've had. The sandwich was still good. It was not drowning in sauerkraut and dressing like other sandwiches I've had. I'll have to go back and try again.

There was quite the line when we arrived (starting out the door), but they were quick with taking orders! I took this as a great sign. My partner got the Reuben and I got the Smokin' Mo Sandwich which is brisket, cheese and bbq. Finally some good brisket in town!! It was so good and tender. I was very happy with my order. It comes with a pickle which was nice and garlicky mmm mmm! Chips and slaw are optional sides, but I didn't partake. I also got latkes as I haven't had them since I was a child. They were good. They come with the traditional applesauce and sour cream. I found the portions generous - I came home with half a sandwich and 2 latkes to eat for dinner. The place is clean and has plenty of seats. They do breakfast all day. They also have Dr Browns soda from NY available by the can or case. The pickles can be bought too and all of their meats by the pound. We plan on coming to get some of the by the pound meats at another time. Staff was very friendly and helpful with answering any questions we had. Will definitely be back.

We acknowledged and took our seats. A couple of observations while we waited. There were 4 workers, and only one making sandwiches. All the patrons were waiting on something from the lunch counter. The tables and main counter all needed a good wipe down. The staff needs better time management training to handle the "crowd". (It was not very crowded but there was no sense of urgency on anyone's part to get the people waiting their food.) The staff making sandwiches should have their hair tied back. I watched multiple people leave without being helped and multiple food delivery people waited and eventually left without the food. After 30 minutes, we did receive our 3 sandwiches. Two cold ones and a grilled cheese. The cold sandwiches were just ok for the price. The grilled cheese was not quite grilled and the cheese did not melt. The lesson learned for me is to just buy the ingredients and make sandwiches. For $50+, I should have just done that. This business could be doing so much better with a good manager, better customer service, and tightening up the cleanliness.

It was like a little shimmer. I take my camera out with the flash on and sure enough it's reflecting that light back at me. The store on Ulmerton Rd. In Largo, FL proved us correct. The store was orderly and clean and full of customers enjoying their meals. The welcoming atmosphere apparently encouraged them to find a seat and relax a while. We are creatures of habit... I always order the Italian with extra ham and no spicy ham, and a scoop of sweet peppers from the grill. My husband orders the Club, Mike's way, with extra onions and light mayo. The meal was very satisfying, but that wasn't only due to the quality ingredients. The two young men behind the counter, Ethan and Ollie were engaging and friendly, making the customers feel right at home. They knew the menu, skillfully prepared our orders, and were able to answer questions about a specialty sub, the hot ham. I am sure our experience was similar to others customers', and i hope the store owner/ manager finds a way to let her employees know how impressed we were

The family that owns and operates this gem is Greek and they are not only amazing cooks, but they care about their community!! I have been there eating several times this winter and obviously homeless people would come to the door and be given water, hot soup, half a sandwich, etc. that just made me love this place more. Now to the food. First of all I had the meatball sub which was not only delicious but super filling. The meat was very well seasoned, and the fresh basil just made the marinara pop even more, add the freshly shaved Parmesan cheese and you've got something special. The homemade bread puts this thing into overdrive! Crispy on the outside, light, delicate but not falling apart and heavy enough to hold together all that deliciousness without being filling like you just ate a large pizza. Now to the ridiculous tomato basil soup. I love the clam chowder but the tomato basil is my favorite. Savory, full of flavor, smooth, creamy and not greasy. This in my opinion is the perfect pairing to the meatball sub. You're welcome! The customer service here is amazing too just like the owners and the food. You will always be greeted by a smiling face, and treated like family. You will not regret stopping here. I've eaten the Meatball sub, The Philly, the lasagna and The Gyro ( lamb and chicken) all have been 10 out of 10. The ambiance is like a neighborhood dinner with a small dining room. You will love it!

The egg wasn't that poached, the inside was just gooey and not runny, which was fine by me. Since it was not heated, the sausage patty was so cold, egg was cold, the bread bun they used was so big, too much bread, stale/hard and not proportional. It was pretty bad, not a good breakfast sandwich. Skip it. They made that up in the breakfast focaccia. The focaccia was warm, soft, and the egg and sausage was warm and just right. That's what you should get!!! We came back in line and got additional items bc they put our more. I got their fruit danish, my friend got their chocolate cupcake and an ham cheddar scone. Their danish was delicious. And their scones were very flakey and soft. Everything was great except that breakfast sandwich. Skip that and get the breakfast focaccia.
