Today we went for the lunch buffet it's from 11 to 2. I think we got there a little after 1. I'm trying to understand how they figure out what their buffet price is because we were required to buy soda even though we wanted water and we ended up drinking water but had to pay for sodas at almost 6 dollars so that was just weird and bugged me. The pizzas looked pretty old, and there weren't many desirable toppings in the salad bar, but the guy that worked the register was really sweet and kind and he made us a fresh vegetarian and cheese pizza because the pizzas that they did have out were all meat. He also put some fresh salad in the salad bar when I asked. The pizza tasted really good but I would not go back. The ambience was typical pizza parlor although actually, it was mostly elderly people because it's near Rossmoor. That's OK cause I'm old. read more

I am beyond disappointed with the Mountain Mike's in Walnut Creek. Their online ordering system was accepting orders on Thanksgiving, let me fully complete checkout, charged my card, and even gave me a pickup time. So I drive all the way down there--only to find the store completely closed. No signs, no warnings, nothing on the website telling customers they weren't open. I'm standing in an empty parking lot on a holiday wondering what I'm supposed to do after they took my money and didn't bother to update their hours. This is incredibly unprofessional. If you're going to close for a holiday, turn off your online ordering. Now I'm out the charge, out the time, and left scrambling for food on Thanksgiving. Do better. read more

The one on Tice Valley Drive. We had never been to any Mountain Mike's before and really were up for a quick pizza dinner. We were greeted by the employees with such cheerful smiles. They were so patient and helpful in getting us our first Mountain Mike's pizza. We ordered a large one with mushrooms and green peppers for two people. We are good eaters and we only made it through half of the pie. It was delicious!!! So lots of leftovers (yay)!! We did this on a coupon so the pricing was especially nice. My family and I visited Mountain Mike's at Tice Valley Blvd, and honestly, it was a straight-up 10/10! The vibe was super chill, the staff were friendly, and the pizza? Absolutely amazing. The crust was the perfect mix of crispy and soft, the sauce was fresh and tangy, and the cheese was super melty and delicious. I got the Pineapple chicken luau, and the toppings were loaded and full of flavor. Eating it fresh at the table just made it even better. Pizza was great - had the Chicken Club pizza and boneless wings. Nice to get a pizza that you don't have to ask for extra cheese. We liked how they spread all toppings and sauce to the edge of the crust, which was nice and crispy. Good beer selection on tap - I went with Negra Modelo. The pizza was fine except the sauce. The sauce tasted sour like vinegar. I'm guessing from the look of it this is canned puréed tomatoes. I didn't taste any spice or ingredients to make the sauce tastier. Other than that the crust and pepperoni were good. The pizza was ready on time and it was hot.
