This was my first time coming here with my sister and friends who were visiting from Hayward, and unfortunately the experience wasn't great. We ordered a Mountain Pizza, garlic knots, 12 wings, and 2 all-you-can-eat salads. Our total was over $120, which was fine. While waiting for our food, I was eating some macaroni salad from my sister's plate because she had purchased one of the salad bar meals. My boyfriend ended up getting a small amount of macaroni and potato salad as well while another person in our group, who had also paid for a salad, was getting theirs. The employee wearing a navy blue Flash Laboratory crewneck sweatshirt noticed there was an extra plate and later came over to tell us that only two salads had been paid for. I understand that rules are rules, but the way it was handled came across as rude and unnecessarily confrontational. The attitude only continued when we asked for marinara sauce and were told it would be an extra charge. The wings were also supposed to come with ranch, but we never received it. We had to ask multiple times, and instead of helping us, it felt like the employees disappeared to the back. From our table, it seemed like they were joking around while we were still waiting on items we had already requested. The food itself was good, but the customer service really took away from the experience. For a first visit, it wasn't the impression I was hoping for, and it left my family and friends with a negative experience. read more

I usually order Mountain Mike's Pizza purely out of convenience, but my last few experiences have been frustrating and disappointing. Multiple slices of pepperoni had plastic still attached to them, which was clearly visible tangled around the meat and left behind on the plate. This wasn't a onetime mistake or limited to a single slice. l've encountered the same issue on more than one occasion, including at different Mountain Mike's locations in the area (Monterey and Marina). It is extremely off-putting and raises concerns about food preparation and quality control. Unfortunately, this has happened often enough that it's hard to ignore. I hope Mountain Mike's takes this issue seriously and improves their preparation standards. For the price, I'd expect to eat without any inconveniences coming from the food itself. read more

Disappointing experience here last night for dinner. We stopped in and we knew it was going to be busy with to go orders so we didn't mind the wait. It gave us a chance to observe the staff in action. Although they were banging out pizzas pretty quickly there was still a bit of a backlog and at one point the girl working the cash register not a cup with pencils off the counter onto the floor she reached down and picked them up and did not wash her hands and then went right over to get a container to get our jalapeno peppers. I do not know if she washed her hands in the back before touching the peppers but it bothered me enough to where when we got our food we just went outside and threw the peppers away. While we were waiting my husband needed to use the restroom and when he came back he said it was not that clean. There was no paper towels to dry his hands with and he said there was just a basic roll stuck on top of the machine it's like they couldn't even load the machine with the proper towels and it just gone to the Dollar Tree up the street and bought whatever they had. There was also no soap to wash his hands. To me again that's just a basic cleanliness issue that they failed on. After all of this we went down to the beach to eat our pizza and the pizza really did not have any flavor and the crust itself while it looked cooked, was actually pretty doughy and raw. Visiting Seaside for the night and came here to eat with the 3 kids. Pizza was great! Came out fresh and HOT and nice and crispy. The young ladies and young man working the register were polite and professional. The 2 bad things (the reason for 4 stars instead of five) was they were out of chicken wings( so had to go next door to BWW) and also their prize machine took about 100 tickets and gave my son nothing in return. Ordered a simple large pizza at 11:15 am to be delivered at 12:00 pm to my location 1.5 miles away. 1:15 pm I tried calling to find out what happened to my pizza and was repeatedly put on hold only to have the girl rudely get back on the phone asking if I wanted to cancel my order. NO! I want my pizza that I gave you 45 minutes to make and deliver it a mile and a half down the road. 1:30 pm my cold pizza arrived. I've been supportive of the Seaside location ever since it opened up under it's current brand. Over the years there has been the occasional screw up from time to time, no biggie.. I have always liked Mountain Miles's Pizza. This time was different. I ordered to pick up. We should have checked before we got home. The pizza was burned. I called to complain and Armando, the manager, offered to make a new one for us. We were already eating around the burned portion and did not want to wait. We also did not want that much leftover. I asked him to credit my account for the next time I went in, but he would not. He kept offering to credit .44 cent discount? I could not understand what he was saying, even though I had him repeat it several times. He would not give me full credit toward my next purchase.
