Anybody that has ever read a review of mine about pizza knows that I am a pizza snob. Being raised on the East Coast, my ideal pizza is a thin-crust NY style. This is not that, but it is a pretty darn good West Coast crust. They put a mountain of cheese on their pies, so much so that on the short ride home some of it shifted, like a cheese island, because it was just out of the oven hot, and I had set it in the seat at an angle. The most surprising feature that really made it stand out was the sauce. Rich, thick, it really bullied its way through the cheese and made it's presence known. The marriage of flavors was sublime. My second visit allowed me to chat with the owner, who assured me that, if I asked, he would be able to make me a thin crust, which I am looking forward to. I am so glad A'z comes to my neighborhood, you should give it a try!
