Excellent made-from-scratch thin-crust pizza. Side salads also very good, if basic, fresh, tasty greens and yummy dressing. Limited, but reasonably nice, space to eat onsite, and they seem to do a lot of take-away business. I'm dairy-intolerant (sadly), and my one quibble is with the non-dairy cheese they use. The binders in most non-dairy cheese, including the one used here, melt poorly and yield a subpar texture. Miyoko makes a fabulous cashew-based mozzarella, which local chain Pizza My Heart uses, and which is a remarkably good substitute for high-quality mozzarella. I'm hoping Tricycle might start using it, too. read more

I stopped here a few weeks ago and finally got around to posting my review. This pizza place just opened up their dine-in option, so I decided to stop in and grab a couple of slices. It has a very hipster vibe inside. There are sofa chairs to sit on. Unfortunately, there is not a restroom to use (or at least that's what they told me). Their slice/square pizza is out under a warmer and put in a convection-heater apparatus. I got a pepperoni & a cheese slice w/ a salad a lemonade. The pizza was a little soggy and not that warm. We ordered online and it was very convenient, gave a time window to pick up the pizza and we received a notice of when it was ready. Nice system. Pizza itself we found to be lackluster. Dough had a bit of chew but not much flavor. We did the sausage and mushroom pizza and didn't get too much flavor out of the sausage. Sauce wasn't memorable, cheese was fine. I loved Tricycle when they operated out of a truck and had the location on Lighthouse and David in Monterey. So sad when they gave up the location, but fast forward a few years and they have a new storefront on Fremont in Seaside with a lot more options. I really like their new spot. It's bright and open with a bit of indoor seating for those who prefer to dine in rather than take out. There's space for their merchandise as well as the salads, treats and frozen pizzas they also offer. They are now open for lunch as well. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday 12-7:30. New offerings to the menu are the square pizza which has a lighter fluffier crust and the garlic pillows (addictive). The square pizza is offered by the slice at lunch only. There is always an interesting flavor of the week. This is truly some of the best pizza in the area in my opinion! If you've not tried them, go! This place was recommended to me by friends so I was excited to give it a try. I ordered take-away and got a very precise 12 min. The service, both on the phone and in person, was great. The place was nice and clean, and my pizza was ready in the promised 12 minutes. The pizza had a nice thin crust but it was a little burnt on the bottom. It also didn't hold a fold without flopping at the end while hot. I guess that's the difference between a Neapolitan style and the coveted NY style, NY style holds a fold and isn't usually burnt because of the lower temperature and longer bake time. The sauce was good you could tell it was made in-store and fresh, it just seemed a little "thin". I wish it had a little more body and spice. I got a cheese pizza because if a pizza place can't make a decent cheese pizza is in the wrong business. The chese was perfect, it was tasty, there was plenty of it, and it caused long melty strings. I had to wait until the next day to review, because it's important that pizza taste good cold, too. This pizza was pretty good cold, too. The sauce was still thin and may have absorbed into the crust, but cold it could hold the fold. This is better than a lot of West Coast pizza so i'll probably be back, it's a good value for the price- 7/10. read more

Was excited to try a new pizza place and not cook after a long day at work. Had heard good things about Tricycle Pizza, but that did not match up with my overall experience. I ordered take out and we only live 10 minutes from the restaurant. Ordered a mixed greens salad with ranch dressing. The greens were fresh and the ranch was different and delicious, but too salty (and I love salt!). We ordered a small mushroom and sausage pizza and a small GF mushroom and sausage pizza. The pizza boxes were a little warm when I left the restaurant but by the time I got home 10 minutes later, both pizzas were cold. Heated both up in the oven at 400 for 12 minutes. The sausage and mushrooms on both pizzas were fresh and great. My husband said the regular pizza was "soggy but great pizza bone". The GF was like cardboard. I couldn't even eat 2 pieces. Sunk $50 on dinner plus tip for complete disappointment. My husband agreed with the two star rating. Bummer. No alcohol sold at restaurant either. Their pizzas are amazing but thinking about how many people must use a restroom it's so inconvenient they don't have one or there isn't one nearby except for--as was told by one of the employees--"accross wingstop" yikes. What if your child needs to use a restroom or you yourself need to use it. The sign says "no public restroom" it does not say "NO restrooms available". The chairs are not physically challenged friendly either. So although the pizzas are amazing I'll prefer to order for take out next time :). So now y'all know pizzas are amazing just no restrooms available. They also don't have kids booster seats only for toddlers. Mind a father customer with his two little guys has to now go accross the street with his little ones to use a restroom. Thumbs down for that at least he was very kind and stated the food was delicious. Cute little spot! We had heard great things about their pizza and decided to try it ourselves. Went in late one night and got two pizzas. Service was very friendly and super quick. We carried out. Enjoyed the margarita pizza and the truffle sausage pizza. Both were so good! Our only comment would be that the dough needed another coupon minutes in the oven as it was too soft and doughy.
