I had a lovely five star dining experience here with my husband for our anniversary. Rumor is that Taylor Swift ate here, but that's not why we tried it out. La Bicyclette showcases very high-quality French cuisine that is not too heavy and hosts guests in a light and airy environment, that is very comfortable and reminiscent of a home kitchen. While I forget the exact names of the dishes, the mushroom pizza was delicious and I would highly recommend it if you are a mushroom fan. We also had steak and a lobster tail pasta, which was delicious with the suggested wine pairings. Truly a lovely location for a special date or special celebration.

Cute establishment! Definitely recommend making a reservation before you come especially if you have a big group. I was able to walk in and make a reservation for 2 and wait for about 1 hour. Recommend the pizzas here! It's a thin crust and use that hot chili oil on the pizza! Will come back again with friends and recommend.

We came here on a Saturday afternoon with no reservation and somehow there was a cancellation and we got seated right away. We saw that the callback list was pretty long and was happy that they sat us. The place is small and cozy. We got a pizza and a salad to share. The pizza was really good!

Rainy day, no reservation, and somehow we stumbled into one of the most delicious meals I've had in a long time. Everything about this place felt special. The food was truly chef's kiss..you can taste the care, quality ingredients, and love that goes into every dish. It's the kind of meal where you take a bite and just look at each other like, "Wow." Every plate felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The cozy atmosphere made it even better, especially on a super rainy day. It honestly felt like the perfect little escape, and now I'm wishing I could eat here every single day. My only wish? Craft cocktails! That would take the experience completely over the top. But even without them, the food absolutely speaks for itself. If you appreciate high-quality food made with serious TLC, this spot is a must-try. I'm already looking forward to going back.

We came around 2:45pm for a party of 3, but were told that they were closing the restaurant in 30 min, and we could only be seated if there were any cancellations. We decided to order to go. We ordered the Gnocchis Parisiens (entree) and the Champignons Wood-Oven Fired Pizza. It was ready in about 10 minutes. The pizza was yummy with the nice, soft crust, mushrooms, and the caramelized onion-truffle purée! The spinach gnocchi was so soft and pillowy. Both were so delicious!

I've eaten here a few times over the years with old friends, and coming back felt like stepping into a memory I didn't realize I missed. I thought, "Hey, I loved it before... let me try again." And wow--just like that, La Bicyclette reminded me why it's special. The gnocchi was absolutely amazing, rich and comforting in that way only they seem to get right. And the pepperoni pizza? Still as perfect as I remember... crispy, flavorful, and somehow even better than my last visit. What really hit me, though, was how the food brought back those old moments with old friends--but this time, it felt like the start of a new chapter. Same warm vibes, but with a little more appreciation and a lot more gratitude. The service was top-tier. The young lady at the host desk set the tone right away--friendly, polite, and genuinely welcoming. It's small gestures like that that make this spot feel like a place you can always come home to. I love this little restaurant. It's cozy, it's consistent, and it has that magic combination of great food and even better energy. Definitely a place I'll always return to.

Delicious spot! We gotta the Margarita and truffle mushroom pizza and the gnocchi. My favorite was the gnocchi, it came so perfectly soft paired with this delicious creamy sauce. The pizza was also great! The mushroom one was a bit heavy and creamy while the Margarita one was lighter. The wait was also 1 hour during an off time on a weekend. Try to make reservations in advance

Came early, right when they opened because my daughter wanted the bread pudding but their dessert menu has changed since the last time we were here. We had pizzas and dessert and everything was excellent just like our past visits. We especially love their crust. This has become my youngest daughters favorite restaurant that she made sure to take her older siblings.

So excited to finally try La Bicyclette the restaurant is so charming instead it felt like a mini carmel instead of the restaurant with the cute little houses with tables in them I'd love to dine in one next time. My waitress was so wonderful hand great recommendations and was so nice the oysters so delicious the flavor of the harissa butter with the oysters was a great pairing. The pizza was the perfect among of crisp and not heavy or overly oily. I have the affogato for dessert which was also delish. My only feedback was the hosts were not very friendly and gave the impression that they were annoyed I was interrupting their conversation. Otherwise the experience once I was seated was great

Sat atop a bed of polenta and carrots - very comforting - mushroom pizza : loved the amount of hen of the wood mushrooms on this! Good crispy crust and bottom, nice garlicky paste as well

We attempted what we'd heard was the impossible: a Saturday night walk-in at La Bicyclette. Instead of being turned away, we were warmly offered a table an hour out--and given recommendations for nearby bars while we waited. We chose Terry's at Cypress Inn, just around the corner and, to our surprise, received a text within 30 minutes that our table was ready. We were seated in a slightly larger than closet sized, tiny room that was once their non-smoking section--perfect for us. It felt like a fairy-tale cottage meets teeny tiny clubhouse. Think Snow White's house, but with excellent food and wine. The atmosphere was calm, a welcome contrast to the Saturday night energy outside. Service was personable, professional, and attentive. For food, we tried their mushroom pizza with manchego and truffle (earthy), a full order of gnocchi (pillowy and creamy), and their risotto and prawn appetizer--which eats like a full entrée. Everything was beautifully prepared and satisfying. We enjoyed some nice red wine by the glass, but a pro tip: try the beer--it comes with complimentary farmhouse cheese. From the hospitality, to the ambiance and food, La Bicyclette lived up to their reputation. We enjoyed our experience, and hope to return.

Every time I'm in the area, I do everything I can to stop by. Monday night, I showed up by myself with no reservation and they were able to seat me right away, never felt so lucky. I really enjoy how the menu changes with the seasons -- and while I always order the gnocchi because I actually can't help myself -- the carrots were truly a delight. It was a dish made, basically, entirely of carrots but had such a wealth of flavors I almost picked up my plate and licked it. Sweet, sour, savory, a hint of bitterness. Not to mention the variety of textures, smooth puréed carrot, carrots you could sink your teeth into & the crunch of the garnish? Not going to reiterate how good the gnocchi is, I think everyone knows and has said how good it is. Just get it.

This is a very Parisian style restaurant small insides but amazing flavors. The service is excellent and attentive. This will definitely take you back to one of the side streets in Paris. Almost every dish I've tried has always been good. They have excellent pizza traveling those beans served in Rome or in Florence.

Can I order food for pickup?

Probably not. I suggest calling them.

    No, I don't think so.

Do you need to make reservations?

Highly recommend it, especially for dinner

Do they have heat lamps for the outdoor seating?

They did while we were there in February and a tent.

    Is this restaurant open now?

    Yes

Are you open for dine in currently?

    No.

Do they do walk in or do we need to make reservations?

Must must must make reservations, unless you gamble and show up at 4:45 to get a choice of their worst smallest table and/or they tell you the one and only other table they put a time limit on.

I had it for a later birthday dinner on a trip to Monterey. I took the last indoor reservation at 9pm. We decided to uber here since we came earlier in the day & the parking was such a hassle. Definitely recommend ubering, or coming at least 45 minutes early to try to find parking! The hostess was pleasant & got us seated right away. Our server was a gentleman who was rather short & seemed rather uninterested in us, which seems consistent with other reviews. I asked about a cocktail I thought I had seen & he scoffed & said "ha - no. wrong restaurant." Which to be fair, my memory isn't great but I don't really enjoy it being pointed out in such a way. I was going to ask for a recommendation but after that, I chose the Fairybird 95. I thought it was just okay. We started with the bread service & mushrooms. The mushrooms were the star of the show, but moreso the oil dipped in the bread. My partner got the cannelloli which he really enjoyed, and I got the gnocchi. The gnocchi to me, after seeing so many raving reviews, was just okay. To me if you've had Italian food in New York, I don't think this will be a stand out place. I think you moreso go here because it is beautiful and very vibey. They also had a very extensive wine list, which is great if you partake. The cocktail menu was quite short, maybe seven drinks total. We ended our dinner with tiramisu which I do think was delicious. This was recommended by our server & I'm thankful he did. It had a very lovely & rich espresso flavor. I don't have much to say about the food which is a bummer. The thing that really stands out to me is how rude the server was & how little he said beyond being rude to me. He was interacting with other tables around us just fine - so I don't know why he couldn't handle our initiation interaction differently. It's a shame because I probably wouldn't have come back either way so I would've liked my one visit to have been more positive.

We had a reservation, but the dining room was not too busy, so we arrived early and were seated right away. The overall aesthetic leans toward a classic, older style that could benefit from a slight refresh, but it still feels comfortable and welcoming. Service was solid throughout the evening. The wine list was impressive, and we chose a 2018 Chateau Montelena which is always a reliable choice. We also decided to follow the server's recommendation for our meals. My wife ordered the Grilled Bone In Pork Chop priced at 41 which came with braised red cabbage, warm potato salad, and a smoked apple demi glace. She enjoyed it and found it flavorful, though not exceptional. I ordered the Seafood Fricassée priced at 46 which included shrimp, scallops, smoked salmon ravioli, and an asparagus mushroom cream sauce with chipotle pesto. The sauce was the star of the dish, rich and well balanced. With a few adjustments such as swapping the salmon for lobster in the ravioli and removing the asparagus, this dish could truly be outstanding. Make sure to ask for bread so you can enjoy the sauce properly. For dessert, we shared the Caramel and Sea Salt Crème Brulée priced at 13. It had a satisfying crack on top and a well executed flavor. I also learned it is a favorite local spot for many which is always good to know. We may or may not return, but that is simply because we love exploring new places. The food and experience were good, and I would encourage others to try this restaurant at least once, especially if they enjoy classic dining in a relaxed setting.

Cozy atmosphere inside but be sure to make a reservation for a booth (or the fire pit table outside) as there are only a few available.

Delicious cheese fondue, a nice and spacious outdoor booth on a dog-friendly patio, excellent…read moreservice, and a doggie menu for our pup! This place had it all. We were the only customers in the outdoor patio just after 6pm on a Tuesday. Our server was friendly and helpful, and was so kind to our dog. I started with the goulash soup (4/5) which was very savory and hearty. For my entree I got the Swiss cheese fondue (5/5) with a side of sausage - for dipping, it came with a big basket of bread and a plate with broccoli, cauliflower, and apples. This was definitely more than enough for one person, so my partner had some fondue as well. He also got the chicken schnitzel (5/5), which was excellent. Our dog got the chicken and carrots bowl off the doggie menu and loved every bite of it! They also gave him a fresh bowl of water. A wonderful dinner for all of us. We'll definitely be back when we're in Carmel again!
