This Round Table has a poor review rating for a reason. They simply don't care about their customers. It was 11:40 AM on a Saturday with only two other customers seated. I stood at the counter to order five minutes. Two workers made eye contact with me but no one took my order. There was no other customer in line but me. I even had my credit card out (so it was obvious I wanted to order or pay). Then the phone rang and someone walked up to the counter to answer the phone, and proceeded to take an order for pickup. He was literally standing right in front of me behind the counter. After completing the phone order, the worker immediately turned around and walk back towards the oven when another worker started lecturing him on what he was doing wrong. I walked out. I really really wanted a Round Table combination pizza. They may be the last honest pizza, but they have crappy customer service. read more

I was in line to order and the supervisor ( a tall older Hispanic man) starts berating the employee taking my order. I was truly disgusted by what I was experiencing. I'm not sure why everybody hates this place but my son and I have been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience with the place. The buffet is always stocked, hot and fresh. It used to be our favorite pizza in the Bay Area, but after having a couple negative experiences at the Alvarado location over the last 5+ years, we stopped going. Today I was craving "The Last Honest Pizza" the way it used to be, so I decided to try the Fremont location....excellent decision! Okay, since the phone doesn't work, let's try the laptop. So then I tried to create an account, but the Sign Up button NEVER enables....and the only field I didn't fill in is the OPTIONAL referral code. WTF? You built the control to enable the Sign-Up button wrong and never tested it. That you put this into production without running it by your SQ team is a POWERFUL statement of incompetence.... Which I'll be adding to YELP as well cuz stupidity NEEDS to be called out whenever possible. No, we won't ordering from you as a result, even though you have the superior and preferred product. DO NOT USE THIS ROUNDTABLE! This Roundtable has gone straight downhill. Food is now generally garbage and the service is worse. And don't even get me started about their online ordering and delivery. 3 separate times I've had orders which were over 30 minutes PAST their estimated delivery time...called the restaurant to be lied to. First they claimed they never received the order. They then said they had the order but it wasn't made...then claimed it was made but hadn't gone out with the driver...THEN...claimed the pizzas were out with the driver and should be to me within a half hour more. This was all in 1 phone call! The 2nd and 3rd attempts went similarly. Also...when I called to ask about the orders the girl basically accused me lying that their app showed a delivery estimate of 55 mins...saying they have been running 90...and the app would reflect that. We ordered pizza and bread twists. When we received our contactless pizza we were not given our breadsticks or ranch. We called to let them know that they had not delivered our entire order. I was placed on hold for 10 minutes. When I explained the situation they said they would call me back. They then called me back and told me that the driver stated he had delivered the entire order and we had our food correctly. I let him know that was not correct. They said they need to call me back again. They called me back 30 minutes later and said that they had made a mistake and they would replace the food. Pizzas we had received were all both burned and undercooked. The cheese and sauce was burned the crust was undercooked. It was very unappetizing and disgusting. The counter service here is almost always slow and confusing, and unlike many pizza places they don't suggest your best price deals. Our most recent visit, we waited over 35 minutes for our pizza to be brought out, and it wasn't even that hot. We strongly suspect that the confusion that is typical at this location spilled over into their order management. But if you can stand this, the pizza is pretty reliable when all is said and done. It's not great but it's not bad, in the softer neapolitan vein of crust, and the toppings are reasonably fresh. They do have a salad bar, which unfortunately features the usual pale green iceberg, but also has spinach and crispy veggies for the kids such as red bell peppers and carrots. They do an awful job of keeping this stocked, however, so check out the salad bar's status before actually ordering it. I realize this is a bit tepid for a three-star review, and it must be said this is just barely in the three-star category, but we do go back when we want a certain kind of pizza and don't want to travel far from home, so it has to be average. The the quality of pizza at this Round Table Pizza in Seaside sure has gone down hill, I always thought of Round Table Pizza as one of the more premium pizza, I pre-ordered 2 hrs ahead for a 4:00 delivery and the pizza looked like it was 2 hrs old and very dry, I ordered (1) XL Cheese with came with dark brown border-line burnt cheese and dry, (1) XL sausage, Pepperoni with extra sausage and the sausage was dry and just about burnt and (1) 1/2 Hawaiian 1/2 Veggie and that was almost ok. Not to happy with this delivery, Mario who took the order was good on the phone and thanked me for the pre-paid $15.00 tip and said he wished he was the driver after pre-paying a generous tip. I called back the day next day to a check status and Marco was rude and said he would not give me a refund unless I returned the pizza. When a local customer places an order on-line & the pickup time indicates it will be ready by 6 PM, and you arrive and the pizza hasn't started to be made because "it's really busy" at its 6:18, that's one issue. This is the absolute worst Round Table pizza I've ever had the misfortune of ordering for delivery tonight Sat. 4/27/19. We always ordered from Monterey but recently moved a bit closer to Seaside so I thought we'd give them a try. BIG mistake! Although this location shows as offering Curbside Pickup in a big G search or even here on Yelp!, I was told by an employee there today they stopped offering that "like a month ago". If it had not been for the employee walking into work, my frustration would have really peaked as I had placed an order and was trying to contact the store for curbside pickup but, after 4 tries, was not able to get through a live person in the store. Thankfully, the helpful employee I spoke with brought my order out to me. I wonder why they stopped offering that when so many of their local and national competitors are actively offering curbside pickup / carside delivery.
