Although this location shows as offering Curbside Pickup in a big G search or even here on Yelp!, I was told by an employee there today they stopped offering that "like a month ago". If it had not been for the employee walking into work, my frustration would have really peaked as I had placed an order and was trying to contact the store for curbside pickup but, after 4 tries, was not able to get through a live person in the store. Thankfully, the helpful employee I spoke with brought my order out to me. The issue I had with this place is that they refused to honor a coupon I had for 20% off. The coupon had their address on it and was valid for the whole month of March. I told them I was gonna go somewhere else and get pizza and walked out. The manager followed me to the car and tried to offer me %15 off instead. I left without buying the pizzas out of principal. I ordered pizza for my office today, opting for curbside delivery during quarantine. I arrived, waited for several minutes and then stuck my head indoors to get someone to bring me my pizza. I was ignored. I then called out, was told the guy was busy, and I was ignored for several more minutes. My husband and I ate here because we were visiting Monterey and we arrived later in the evening. This was one of the few places open. There was no wait, it was pretty clean and the food was decent and fairly priced. It isn't a highbrow establishment and it's hardly authentic Italian, but it was what we wanted and we had a pleasant experience. The best part was the owner, who came by our table twice, once with fake ketchup/mustard bottles that shot out colored string as a prank, and later with a cup of coffee that he spilled and was a similar gag. Well, I got my stimulus check and decided to splurge and support a local business!! I ordered a medium Pan style Chicken Garlic Gourmet with the spicy sauce and I opted for the no contact delivery! Needless to say that was the best Chicken Garlic Gourmet Pizza I have ever had! All the ingredients were fresh and plentiful! It was an amazing Pizza to say the least! It was GREAT!! Round Table, as a rule, has always been a pretty safe bet for a pizza joint. Until today. Today, a group from my school decided to have a nice pre-Thanksgiving buffet lunch at the Round Table Pizza in Seaside. Um...big mistake, or should I say extra-large mistake. This group from school included 4 students from a special day class (SDC); these were autistic kids who were excited to have a pizza party today. The 6 adults in our party purchased the buffet lunch deal, as did 2 of the students who brought their pizza money -- all at $9.75/per person. The other 2 kids decided not to partake and were happy to just be included. During our dining experience here, the 2 students who were not partaking were offered a tiny (2" diameter) slice of cheese pizza from one of the plates that was finished. As these 2 kids were enjoying their slice, the manager of the joint stormed the dining room where we were eating and leaned into their faces and pointed fingers at them, and with a raised voice said, "You pay or you leave -- now!" These poor kids were terrified -- and being autistic, were confused and agitated. I understand the concern, from a loss prevention perspective, but there is a right way to handle things and a wrong way. This was the absolute WRONG way. Instead of coming to one of the adults in our party and politely mentioning his concern, he chose to be exceedingly belligerent and confrontational, and ruined the entire experience. I went to the counter and paid the full price of $9.75 for each of the 2 children who had had a slice of pizza given to them. Another adult in our party asked for the contact information of Round Table corporate as to register our concerns about how poorly this manager had handled things. His response was, "I'm going to call the police..." He was completely unprofessional, petty, anti-customer, and has no business working with the public in the capacity of a restaurant manager. So, long story shorter, if you have the opportunity to go out for pizza in Seaside, you may want to consider any other pizza restaurant you can find instead of this hostile and poorly-managed Round Table. To the manager, yes, you: Marco, You might want to consider a career change -- like, to maybe doing cavity searches for the TSA, working as a prison guard, or something similar. Earlier this week I was in R.T. for dinner and left some extra coupons with the cashier just in case someone forgot a coupon or to have as a tool to up sell a customer. The cashier put them in the drawer. Today we ordered two large specialty pizzas for lunch. A man identified him self as the manager, Marcos refused to honor the coupons. Marcos told me that I was trying to screw him out of money. The pizzas where already made and ready for pick up. I told him I would pay for the pizzas at coupon price. Coupons are used to generate sales. Marcos said this was the most ridiculous thing he's ever heard. I told Marcos he was not a good manager and I would like to speak with the owner. Marcos dropped a few F bombs while telling me that I am ripping him off followed by telling me to "never fucking call here again." Coming from restaurant management myself, I see Marcus as a liability. With his filthy mouth and lack of management skills will limit R.T.P.'s ability to succeed as a business. I got two and asked if I could have one Cheese Pizza (no toppings) and one with two toppings (since the other had none)... get it? 2 toppings total. It was a no go. As a resident of seaside, you may find this restaurant to seem relatively convenient until you receive the wrong order and end up more inconvenienced than you'd have ever thought. My most recent experience with this establishment was, as you probably could have already guessed, extremely poor. With the manager on speaker phone, my family gathered and arranged the order, then repeated it clearly into the phone. The manager took it down in his notes and repeated it back. We then waited forty-five minutes for our order (reasonable amount of time), only to be given a receipt with no clarity on the individual sales themselves (included strictly total), and unfortunately we were given only two thirds of our our original order. Upon this realization, we promptly called to report the mistake only to have the manager answer and blame us for the error. After he lashed out his explanation, he hung up. I have never noticed that this Round Table was here until a coworker wanted pizza for lunch and I was like "I am not going to Me and Ed's again" so I found it on yelp. They are in a weird pink building with parking in the back, doesn't really look like a pizza joint until you go inside. Anyways... three of us split a large pizza (the Montague Meat Special) and got drinks for $10 a piece and we had pizza left over. I was happy with it, there was a lot of grease that I had to mop up with my napkins but what would you expect with that many different types of pork? Also, important for the one hour lunch crowd, they had our pizza out to us really fast. I was expecting a wait because there were quite a few people in there but it was really quick. Also, they had a lunch special with a personal pizza, salad, and soda for relatively cheep (sorry can't remember how cheep) that I might get next time. Took my kids to eat lunch at this location and I ordered one soda for my kids to share and cups of water. The manger told me that my kids can not share drinks. My kids are 10,8 and 5. He expects me to buy a large drink for my 5 year old. I'm not hard up for a $2 drink. I am just trying to make sure my kids don't waste unnecessary food or drink. So they always share a soda and I get water cups for them. So I can control the soda input. This place is not kid friendly and they were rude and there is no customer service. I must say that after reading several reviews, I was somewhat hesitant. I made a reservation for 15 people about a week in advance. I placed my on-line order for 6 pizzas in advance the day of the event. Marco, the Manager, was extremely courteous and took great care of us. The food was great and the restaurant very clean! We didn't get our food until almost an hour later and several customer came and went who we listened to order after us. I waited for my pizza delivery for 1hr. It never came. Whoever, took down my order never actually wrote it down?!?!?!? RIGHT?!?!!! I had to call them and spoke with some manager that was so incompetent himself (it was a male, I won't use his name, I'll be a little classy) and the first thing he says is "I'm sorry , I will cancel your order and refund you your money back" he immediately deflected the situation and was trying to brush me off. I said NO that's ok I need my pizza. I was having a "get to together " so I needed food for my guests. So I said I waited 1.5 hrs for a pizza that was suppose to be at my home in 40min. Like I was told over the phone, and never showed. So I would like my pizza on "your house" and delivered please. The manger said ok, and that he would still refund my money. Well, the pizza finally came 3hrs later NO REFUND NO REFUND ( NOT so awesome business practices over here ) but they threw in a free soda. Please! I will take great service over anything. Who ever owns this franchise hopefully you fired this manager or hopefully YOU as the owner learn a lesson from this yelp review and change something. If I could leave zero stars I would. The employee who took my order gave me an additional discount on top of the coupon I used under "senior discount." I am not a senior nor did I ask for the discount. Upon returning to pick up my order, THE MANAGER yelled at me saying not to expect another discount on top of a discount the next time I come in because I used a coupon. I even told him to charge me the $1.82, he's acting like I got my pizza for free, it was a $45 order. The $1.82 discount lost them a customer for life.
