Visiting the area, I'd never heard of this spot and seeing that it's a local area chain, I was a little skeptical since it's in a mall. When we arrived the place was busy but the line moved fast. We went today at 5:30, but the line was too long. We came back and there were only four groups in front! It took us a half hour to get thru that short line. 1) the guy cutting the pizza talked more then he worked. He kept bs'ing and talking so much. By then there was a line out the door. 2) this girl is too Immature, poor customer service, rude and should NOT be your 1st line of defense. She talked more then she rang people up. She rung us up, crumpled up our receipt and didn't even say thank you.. she was rude,, and seriously needs training!! We had to ask her for a copy of our receipt and then she had an attitude!!! They have a great selection of slices, give a slice with purchase of one of their shirts (go a size up - you'll need it), and the staff know how to move pizza! The line was probably 30 people deep but the team cleared it within 15 min! Ordered the classic pepperoni to judge them on. Fantastic ratio of pep to pizza. Their claim to fame is supposedly the Big Sur which is essentially a supreme but comes with whole cloves of roasted garlic. If you're a garlic lover like me, this is the way to go! I also tried the wings which I hear have to be ordered ahead of time. They're probably slow cooked in the pizza oven because the meat was fall off the bone, with a good crispiness on the exterior. You really can't go wrong with this one. Coming in second (and also a must-get) was the D'Lex Chicken & Bacon Pizza. It came loaded with grilled chicken breast, bacon, mushrooms, parmesan cheese, green onions, and a creamy white garlic sauce. I'll admit I've always been skeptical about chicken with white sauce on pizza, but this completely changed my mind. Absolutely incredible and honestly one of the pizzas that carried the whole experience for me. The Pesto Pizza had a unique flavor profile with basil almond pesto, garlic almonds, and parmesan cheese. I was a little on the fence with this one, definitely more of an acquired taste, but I'm glad I tried it. Not bad at all, just depends on what flavors you enjoy. Lastly, the Mushroom Pizza was unfortunately my least favorite. It wasn't bad, but compared to everything else it felt underwhelming. The tomato sauce and mushrooms alone made it feel a little too simple, and I think it could've used more flavor and a bit more punch overall. We ordered from here because of their gluten free crust and we went for the pepperoni and Maui wowie. The pizza wasn't bad, but it also wasn't great. The crust was crispy on the edges but it didn't have much color in the middle. It may just be our preference, but I prefer for the toppings like ham and pineapple to be a bit charred. I appreciated the gluten free options but overall I just wasn't really impressed with the pizza as a whole. I would not order from here again if I'm in the area. read more

The Big Sur. That's basically all those who know the Monterey location know how iconic it is plus their pepperoni. Yes the staff can be better, yes it is unfortunately not as consistent as it used to be and there is room for improvement there but still we crave this pizza. Amazing pizzas cooked throughout the day. Some are fresh from the oven depending on the time that you show up! They have some local beers on draft. The lines can be long, but they are very quick. Really nice salad and sliced combinations and you're allowed to help yourself to the dressings! Lots of TVs to watch sports and a separate room as a if you have a larger party. I've seen a whole sports team in there before after a game. Super casual dining, but they keep it very clean and the bathrooms do not require a code either which is always a positive! We resided in the Santa Cruz area for over two decades and never managed to visit PMH. A couple of days ago, after the holiday boat parade, we decided to head down to Damertra. We were immediately drawn to PMH by the buzz and the long queue for their freshly sliced pizzas. It turned out to be a wise decision. My wife opted for the Chicken and Bacon pizza, while I chose the pepperoni and sausage. To be honest, there are many pizzas out there, but PMH stands out because of its exceptional flavor. The crust is great, and the team was incredibly friendly and helpful, even though the queue was quite long. Overall, I highly recommend PMH. I was excited to visit Pizza My Heart since we don't have one where I live. My family made a two-hour drive on Friday, March 27th. I was initially quoted a 30-minute wait. After 35 minutes, I was told it would be "a few more minutes," and the same response was given again at the 50-minute mark. When I spoke with the manager, it became clear there had been a mistake--my order had been closed out and likely given to another customer. While the situation was frustrating, the manager handled it exceptionally well. She refunded my order, quickly prioritized a replacement pizza, and even offered a salad while I waited. Most importantly, she was attentive, apologetic, and made me feel heard. Mistakes can happen, but great customer service makes all the difference. I truly appreciated how the situation was resolved, and it turned my experience around completely. I'll definitely be back. read more

The issues range from the staff's service when taking orders and charging customers, all the way to the quality of the food.I ordered five slices. Four were readily available, but I had to wait on one. The cashier clearly asked if the order was 'for here' or 'to go.' I said 'for here,' so they put the four slices in the oven and told me I would have to wait about 15 minutes for the Maui slice.After sitting for a while, I walked up and stood by the counter until I was finally called. When I got there, I saw they had stacked all my other slices inside a 'to-go' box and just put the Maui slice on top. I kindly reminded them that the order was for here. The woman serving clearly did not like it when the cashier passed along the message; she gave a rude look and just walked away. The cashier then started laying out trays, but he seemingly gave up halfway through and went back to his post. The woman eventually finished the job, handed the slices to the cashier, and he handed them to me. I said 'thank you' but didn't even get acknowledged. I figured whatever, they just weren't in a good mood. However, when we sat down to eat, four of the five slices were practically cold. I'm not surprised, though, because these slices are so thin that they can't hold any heat. Compared to all the other Pizza My Heart locations, these slices are paper-thin. If you look at my Maui slice, it's almost see-through. This location seriously needs to check out the Santa Cruz and Downtown San Jose branches to see what real pizza and proper customer service look like. read more

If you're not familiar with the deal, you get a t-shirt and any slice of pizza for either $8 or $9, depending on which t-shirt you choose. If you were to just get a slice, it would be $6 (I think it's for any topping), so you're basically getting a t-shirt for a few bucks more. I was visiting the area and decided to try Pizza My Heart. I understood they were busy, so I didn't mind waiting, but the communication was really poor. We waited for an hour and no update. We asked how much longer our pizza would be, and they told us 5 minutes because they were cutting it. After waiting another 20 minutes, we asked again and were told they had lost our pizza. They offered to remake it for free, which I appreciated, but it meant waiting another 12 minutes. Mistakes happen, but being told our pizza was almost ready when it wasn't was frustrating. read more

We love Pizza my Heart and go to it every time we are in the area. This was our first time at this location. We were there on sunday night, there was only one customer behind us and one ahead of us but for some reason it took 40 minutes to make our pizza. Its never taken that long at other locations with lines out of the door. The girl employee who was running the slices area was very rude. She seemed annoyed that we were buying shirts and just all around rude. The tables were very dirty. trays all over one. We were there over an hour and they were not cleaned once even though there was barely any customers while we were there. There was a long line starting as we were leaving ,the bathroom had no toilet paper and the trash was over flowing.
