We were there on 8/26 for my nephews birthday. We arrived around 6:30 and it was a party of at least 15-18 guest and more joined later as they were able to make it after getting off work. In total, we had about 26 guests. First off, the major red flag was the (I'm assuming the owner, a man) argued with my brother that he had the tables set up for him on 8/25 and we never showed up. My brother insisted that he would not mess up his sons birthdate but, still apologize for the inconvenience. NOPE! The man kept pushing that it inconvenienced him and would not drop it. So, my brother asked him, so do you not want us here today? That stopped the conversation really quick! We had to arrange and set up our own tables/seats. We get to ordering pizzas, wings, salads & drinks. Totaling about $400 Everything came out in a timely manner and food was good but, that was IT! The service and hospitality SUCKED!!!! He had another lady working with him, assuming she was the wife. First issue was, she gave us exactly 15 store brand plates and when we asked for more, she argued with me that she already gave me plates and I needed more? "Why? you only told me you needed 15" I told her, look we need more plates and if that's an issue, I'll go across the street to buy some from Safeway. She eventually gave us more plates. We didn't order the pizzas all at once. We initially started off with 5 and added more as it got low and people wanted specific pizzas. Tell me why, every time we went to order pizza, she would roll her eyes and kept asking "is that all?". By then, we were over it and decided to do a cake. We asked for the ice cream cake they agreed to put in their freezer. When he handed it to us, he advised us it would be an additional $40 to do cake. WTH! He called it "cake clean up" LOL!! The ice cream cake was an 8x8 cake! We said, HELL NO and took it to the bowling alley (because we were planning to bowl afterwards) When we left, we STILL cleaned up the tables. Stacked trash on trash, condensed what we could to help with clean up. As now reading all the reviews, the food is good and decent but don't expect top notch quality customer service from these two people. Beware! read more

EXCELLENT!! Give 10 stars if I could!!! I should've reviewed a long time ago, given the consistency and quality of this establishment.

Unprofessional and rude staff, the worst part is I checked the ratings and talked with my family to not going there but they were so hungry and didn't care, we walked in and my daughters ordered for them as far as my doctor recommended to not eat pizza etc I had my own sandwich with me and having with my family after 10 minutes of being there the guy came to us and told you can not have other places food over here we just tried to get out of that place two guests were having lunch over there next to the exit door turned to us and thanked for coming and ordering so just surprised, bingo!!! They were from pizza factory headquarters so they were witnessing over there what's going on, I wouldn't say karma but something on time!!! read more

There isn't a buffet anymore, which I enjoyed. Apparently there wasn't enough business during the day for it. My favorite is the pesto sun-dried tomato pizza. Absolutely delicious. The breadsticks are pretty amazing, too. read more

I called 2x got hung up on by the lady who picked up the phone. Called a 3rd time and the man this time tries to blame me for having "poor" signal and that they're "very busy". I ask for a special they might have for today, they employee then proceeds with "I don't think we have none today, we're very busy". I'm a potential paying customer so why do you want to keep saying you're busy? I got it the 1st time so I was trying to make it quick. 3rd question for me was how big was the pizza and how much? He replies with a sarcastic laugh "Ha I don't know, and like I said we're very busy". Sir don't you know your menu? Can you not help a potential customer? Can you not handle multitasking at your business? Is that what you say to all your customers? read more

Service and price was great. The pizza was perfect and exactly what we wanted. We had a great time just hanging out after a long drive from Pismo to Monterey on vacation. read more

Great pizza, super nice staff, plenty of seating, will comeback! Yumm!! Great ambiance!

The veggie pizza here was surprisingly good, but $25 for a 12" pizza feels quite steep. They should consider lowering their prices.

The pizza is great. I had driven by many times and never stopped. I'm glad I gave it a chance. It's really good.

DE-LICIOUS pizza here. Cozy, clean, comfortable atmosphere with a family touch to it. Great service and you'll be met with a good sense of humor that adds to the experience. We've been here a few times so far, and it has quickly become one of our favorite spots. Conveniently located near a laundromat and a bowling alley, it's perfect to dine-in or get a pizza to go. Reasonable prices and has enough sauce and toppings (I didn't have to ask for any special additions/modifications). read more

was very surprised to see that there were so many one star reviews. Not sure if management has changed but I just had the pizza buffet lunch with my boyfriend today and man, oh man, was that good! The pizza was hot and fresh and the whole place was very clean. The Hawaiian and the combo were perfect !! probably the best pizza buffet in monterey :) read more

We stopped here on our way back home after a long day of tourism and beach activities. Let me just say,,,, myself, my wife, and kids agree this is the best pizza we've ever had. The crust is amazing, the toppings/cheese ratio is perfect, and it isn't wildly greasy like other pizza spots. Worth every $ and we'll be making this a regular spot when we're down in Monterey!!! Whoever dropped low reviews is insane. Ignore whatever you see and I promise you, you will love this place. read more

bad customer service, please do not come here. very rude employees & overpriced for the food.

Pizza Factory makes some of the best pizzas around. I highly recommend this place, especially if you have kids. They are very kid-friendly.

Pizza is always better at the pizza parlor than delivery. This location was within walking distance from where we were staying so we ate there and the pizza was pretty good. Did it knock my socks off? No, but the place is clean, the owners were friendly and the ingredients were fresh and good quality. read more

Let me be honest here. I was a general manager at a pizza place for two years. I never spoke to a customer on the phone the way this guy did on the phone. They are open till nine. I called at 8:30. I'll be honest I did used to get annoyed when people would want a delivery that late but I still made a delicious pizza and sent my driver on there way. The guy on the phone harshly demanded where I lived stating they stopped delivering at 8:30. So I ordered a large pepperoni pizza and two 20 oz Pepsis. The total was 37.00 dollars. I said well let's see this pizza should be really good at that price. The pizza was SUPER DRY and practically burnt. The icing on the cake was it arrived messed up lol. Never ordering again from this place. Also it took 50 minutes to get my pizza. I do live in del Rey oaks, still ridiculous. read more

Great food ! I live close so it's great for me! Love the sandwiches as well as the pizza!

Cute small business. It's a Mexican couple (I think) who run the business. Had a good time, they sell good beer, pizza and wings! Ranch is 10/10. Only reason for the 4 stars was because their soda machine was broken and we had bought 3 large drinks. Although they did try and fix it. It was pricey we got an XL pizza, 3 large drinks, 24 wings for about $90. I would have enjoyed some music too. It's super quiet in there so you can hear them making the pizzas in the back. Support this local business only had 2 customers while we ate. The food is bomb . An alternative to the soda machine is the bottled sodas they have. read more

Pizza Factory is a large California-based chain. The franchisees at this Monterey location are an older couple. Not particularly friendly. I had their overpriced lasagne for $18.00. Shrink-flation is in full effect here. The noodles seemed a little off; the sauce was watery. I had to start dumping pepper flakes, salt, and grated parm. on it to get some flavor. The worst part is that it's supposed to be "meat" lasagne but I couldn't find any ground beef in it whatsoever. What I found was just the gross "sausage crumbles" they sell in bulk to cheap pizza parlors to toss onto combo. pizzas. Of course, when they do that, the pieces get a nice burn or sear on 'em in the oven, which leaves them palatable or even somewhat tasty. But not in lasagne: they simply get boiled along with the sauce. I also had the "dinner salad" for TWELVE dollars ($12.00). The overall volume was large but 95% of it was nothing more than coarsely chopped iceberg lettuce...and air. It had about 4 small cucumber slices, about 3 tablespoons of tiny carrot slices, about 4 tiny, wilted cherry tomatoes, and a 1/4 cup of grated mozz. Oh yeah...and about 5 stale croutons. Just....wow..... I'm rating more than 1 star because I've never had their pizza so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Also, the store itself is very clean and seems like it would be good for large groups. Lots of windows give it a bright, airy feel inside. Even though the location isn't the greatest (North Monterey) parking is ample and the area is reasonably safe. It might be good for tourists with kids who are staying in the motels along Fremont. read more

Pizza was decent. Cheese bread was good. Service was good, the ambiance was nice. Outside didn't look to cool but the inside is really nice.

From out of town, ordered X-Large pepperoni. Taste like it was cooked 2 days ago and reheated 3 times. Just terrible.

Less than one star if it was available. We drove here from Monterey to be greeted by the rude jerk of an owner over the restroom. Mind you and empty restaurant also. Who was lying to us at first that the restroom was broken before we even ordered. As per the conversation we were allowed to use the restroom if we held the handle down for a long time. Upon using the restroom and finishing I came out the same rude owner argumentative with a customer over .25 cents. We left immediately. Please take you time and go somewhere else where. This place doesn't appreciate anyone. read more

Online ordering system did not get my order correct. Ended up paying full price for a "build your own" pizza with no toppings. No offer to redo the order. Entirely disappointed with no customer service. 2 stars because their pizza is usually decent. read more

Honestly this place is a local gem. The pizza is amazing, wings is amazing, food is amazing. If you're here for a food review then here you go, the pizza IS FRESH AND DELICIOUS! Ask any locals from Monterey/Seaside, this is the place to order. Now If you're interested in a customer service review I suggest you have patience for hard working people that trying to run a business, day in and day out. Very hardworking, very kind if you give them the chance and don't walk in there acting like a Karen. That's all. read more

Good fresh pizza, helpful staff and nice place to eat. Clean bathroom too. Good place to eat if you are staying in a hotel nearby.

I love this place! Super nice & friendly, quick service, and yummy pizza! I have never been disappointed with this place. :)

The lady was rude not going back, the garlic bread was good though, just didn't like the customer service at all

I gave an additional star because the service was good but I'm sorry this pizza was like the box it came in. I am so surprised it received such good reviews from locals. I was really disappointed. The size of the large was equivalent to that of a medium somewhere else and there was just no flavor. Wish it could have been a better tasting experience. read more

Pretty solid pizza! Nothing special, but it hits the spot. I ordered a medium Pizza Factory Special and Caesar salad, both were pretty tasty . Very quick service, and an incredibly nice family running the joint.
