Great pizza and customer service. Loved this cute spot and prices are good. The meatball sub was big and only .50¢ more than the app! Would come here again.

Garden Pizza (secret menu)

Ready for the best pizza on the Monterey Peninsula? (I've tried them all). Ask for the "Garden Pizza" on the secret menu. I renamed it "The Stinky Pizza" = garlic, onions, artichoke hearts and red sauce. It's #1. Try it I dare you! Then tell me what you think. I'm bringing "Stinky" back!

Super cute place. Limited inside seating. Staff is very nice and pizza and dough handmade. Caesar salad was delicious and pizza was SO good. Crust was perfect. A first time for us on our annual Monterey vacation. We will be back!

Meat lovers calzone

This is an order at the counter and sit down to eat. Take out is also available, and it's convenient that there's a 29 minute parking spot right in front. Ordering at the front counter was easy with friendly service. We were able to sit where ever we wanted since there was only one other party of 2 that came in right after us on a Sunday afternoon. The place was clean. They had the game on the large screen, and for some reason mid way though our stay, they blasted the volume way too loud for our liking. Not sure why since the 5 patrons were not talking loud. One star off for that. The small Cesar salad came out quick. The guy was nice and brought out plates to share - it is a shareable size. Dressing on the side - that was appreciated. However, my calzone took quite some time to come out. The guys that came in behind us got their pizza before we got our order. I should've suggested they serve our spaghetti first without waiting for the calzone. When the meat lover calzone finally arrived, it didn't seem very meat laden and the cheese was mostly concentrated in one half. It wasn't bad but I've had better. Another star off for that. However, the spaghetti came with three decent sized meatballs and the spaghetti portion was big. It also came with three pieces of garlic bread, or just buttered & seasoned bread since garlic flavor was not detectable. In conclusion - the salad, spaghetti & meatballs tasted good and were generous portions.

Cheese classic

Thin crust pizza with West and East Coast options. The classic cheese let you taste the sweetness if this NY style red sauce and its delish. Tried the special Harvest pizza and was a bit too sweet for my liking, but the The Valley white pizza was really tasty and satisfying.

Seating Area Empty because it was close to closing time but right after I took this picture a party of eight came in and sat down to eat

I am diabetic. I was on a walk and became very thirsty came into this place and asked to buy some bottled water they said they were out but they could give me a cup of water I said thank you yes and the friendliness never stopped I eventually bought a zero sugar root beer and they let me set at a table until my ride arrived they were extremely pleasant the whole time. I haven't tried the food yet it smells great but I am definitely coming back to do that just. wonderful people and the atmosphere is nice, plenty of room so give them a try

Deep Fried Zucchini Sticks
Linh T.

Small neighborhood location with solid steady flow of customers coming in and ordering for pickup which is always a great sign of good food. I ordered the chicken pesto pizza and zucchini fries and both were fantastic. The pasta also looked delicious and what I would come back for if I lived closer. There's a nice small selection of draft beers and TVs to catch games.

Massive calzone!

Gusto is one of the few truly scratch-made Italian restaurants that specializes not only in pizza, pasta, and sauces, but also features an old-school brick, wood-fired pizza oven. Hell, they even make their own mozzarella! They have not only caught the eye of locals and Yelpers, but have also managed to earn a recommendation in the current Michelin Guide. The Good: * Private parking lot, as well as street parking. * Fabulous service from Alex! * Prices are very reasonable considering the food quality. * Local beers on tap. * Strawberry Prosciutto Salad (seasonal special) was fantastic! Who knew strawberries paired so perfectly with salty, cured prosciutto and pistachios? This might not be on the menu all the time, but if you see it, get it! * Complimentary focaccia was unbelievably soft and delicious. As if it couldn't get any better, their olive tapenade served alongside it was equally delicious, making for an unbeatable duo. * The Margherita pizza is the ultimate test of a pizza restaurant--and they passed with flying colors! It's so simple that if something isn't right, it'll be easy to spot, but everything from the homemade mozz to the slightly charred crust and the delicious sauce made this the perfect pie. I give it a score of 3.14159265359...! The Meh: * Meatballs were a touch too tough and could've been a bit more tender. They were still fuçking delicious, so honestly, who cares? The Ugly: * Despite the name, Seaside isn't the most glorious place, and this location is downright sus AF. Conclusion: Maybe one of the best meals so far of 2026. If you have any doubts about coming here, relieve yourself of them and get down here posthaste.

It's a cozy, family-owned business. When we arrived, there was only one woman working and doing absolutely everything--taking orders, prepping, and baking. Another person eventually came in to help her, but we honestly felt for them! Despite being understaffed, they were kind and hardworking. We were so hungry that we forgot to take photos (rookie mistake, I know), but the pizza was phenomenal. We ordered: Classic Pepperoni: Perfectly greasy and crisp. BBQ Chicken: Great tangy sauce-to-topping ratio. Curry Chicken: The standout! Super flavorful and a nice twist on traditional pizza. They do not skimp on toppings which was great. It took about 30 minutes to get our food. Honestly, for a small family shop where they're making things fresh, that's not bad at all. If you're in a massive rush, be mindful, but the quality is well worth the half-hour wait. Bottom line: Support this local business! The food is great, the people are hardworking, and it's a perfect spot to refuel.

There is informal, in-door seating but it looks more like a take out place, though the prices are more high end. The reason for my three star is that the pizza ultimately was bland and most importantly the crust was undercooked. It's a pretty thick crust and ours was doughy; I had to recook to make it more firm. There wasn't much sauce and it had no flavor. The toppings seemed fresh and it is possible their Eastern pizzas are more flavorful, so if you are looking for that you should give it a try. But if you want a more traditional Italian or 'West' pizza, there are better options.

How long does it take to box a slice.. grab a cup , ring up?? ridiculously slow execution!! drove me nuts watching how slow the process was. And I really could have gone my whole life without seeing your pizza makers make the pizza:( grossed me out actually . But that's how far back line was and stood there for 10 minutes and only moved once!! Ugh.. One guy had 1 glove on 1 glove off. Made no sense. one guy had zero gloves. And one guy had gloves but what's the point if he's twirling the dough and it all over his hairy arms. I had to tell myself over and over... everything gets killed when it gets cooked in the hot oven... but I wonder how many hairs have fallen into the dough??!!! c'mon.. they have got to make elbow length gloves by now for these jobs! Some things are better left unseen if you don't follow healthy food practices. And, at no time did I see anyone wash their hands in between or change gloves:( on the upswing.. I did learn they make the circle of sauces with a baster. Here's a thought: why not do what In & Out does when it gets busy and send someone to the line with a handheld machine that swipes cards & takes orders....?!!! made me sick waiting over 25 minutes to get a slice of pizza when I know Whole Foods was in same parking lot:( but, I promised my grandude the shirt. Or how about a second register just for people who want a slice or salad. You lost at least 10 people when they came in and saw the line!! Not that that's going to break you... but.. there has got to be a better way. There's my 2cents. you get to make your own decision if you see the line backed up to the back room. ;)

This is an update/reply to owner on 4/1:…read more I think your reply to me here is making matters worse. You're refusing to take accountability for the fact that you hired an individual who is extremely obnoxious, mouthy, and disrespectful to a customer who is having a problem due to a combination of factors - one being that you closed early on a weekend night, and the other being that a third-party service is failing to do a good job. A third-party service I might add who you have chosen to do business with. As a small business owner myself, as you pointed out, I can assure you, I will never hire a person and allow them to work at my front desk who has the audacity to treat customers as rudely as your employee did. The largest offense here was the behavior of your employee and that is the one thing you have failed to address. There are solutions to the problems you were having - one is as simple as writing a note on your door, letting your customers know that you've chosen to close early that day. Another is refusing to do business with a third-party who is making matters worse rather than better for your business. But the most important thing here is having the care And attention that is required to not hire people capable of being so rude to your customers. Your employee did not make that offer of a pizza until we pointed out that he could have done something better to address the situation rather than giving mouth. But the point here is, we did not want pizza at that time. We wanted the night before when we were in a jam, and by that point, our trust in the food at your store was completely shattered. Because if a person makes a decision to hire someone that is so rude to customers, they may also make the decision to hire a cook who spits in your food. And anyone who fails to understand or address the unacceptable behavior of their employees when it is necessary is indeed a one star establishment. This is an update: A person from Pizza My Way called me a day after I posted my original 1-star review. She was friendly and helpful, and ultimately refunded the $40. I appreciated that. So I brought my review up to 3 stars. However, the situation was seriously unacceptable. Businesses have a responsibility to hire people who are going to treat customers with respect and who are capable of responding to problems created by decisions of the restaurant and their policies. This was a stressful experience and my wife and I walked away feeling very disrespected and initially $40 poorer with no pizza and no solution. The young person working for them has no business treating customers who pay a whopping $40 for a pizza that way- and his behavior being tolerated makes it impossible for me to give the restaurant another chance - so I cannot give an honest review of their food only their service. Maybe if someday I get a call that they have let said employee go they can regain my trust and I'll give them a try because their right up the street, and perhaps I can become a regular customer since I'm so close and they can get a higher rating from me. Originally posted 5/15: Worst pizza experience on the Monterey Peninsula by far. The place just randomly closes on a Saturday night well before their posted closing time. I order for pick up, spend over $40 for one large pizza which is absolutely crazy. I mean other people might think that's normal but I think that's crazy. That doesn't matter. I was in a jam and I had to get my kids some food and was not able to get back home and cook because of an emergency at work. In any case, I pay for the pizza online and then I called to confirm and there's no answer. I call multiple times. I show up to the store in person at around 8:35, 25 minutes before they are supposed to take their last order, and the whole place is dark. The next day, I am assured by the person I speak to on the phone that I will be refunded. Later on that day, I double checked to make sure that's true and it looks like they withdrawn the money from my bank account. So I called back and the person I speak to on the phone refuses to give me their name, they take absolutely no accountability for the situation, and offer absolutely no solution. So I spent $40 on pizza I never received, I was completely unable to get the attention of the manager, and my wife, and I both had to endure rudeness, extreme rudeness from their staff. When I walked in to restate my reasonable request to no avail, the person on staff was recording me on his phone. I don't get it. I'm the customer and I've already spent money and I still haven't received any product from them. It's nothing personal. When you're closing well before you posted hours on a weekend night, when you've got some cockamamie ordering system that you've built into your website, when you can't be accountable to your customers that spend money or even polite, you deserve the bad reputation that follows.
