When we arrived, we honestly thought Round Table had shut down. There was a new Wingstop next door, the Round Table sign wasn't even lit, the restaurant was dark, and there wasn't a single customer in the dining room on a Friday night. We actually had to ask an employee if this was still Round Table. She said yes. We decided to give it a shot and ordered two pizzas -- one large and one extra-large -- both with extra sauce. The reason for the extra sauce? This location has been known for making dry pizzas. When the pizzas arrived, they looked okay at first glance, although they were noticeably thinner than what I remember Round Table pizza being. Then I took that first bite, expecting that distinctive Round Table flavor that I've known for years. It simply wasn't there. Not even close. And then there was the extra sauce we specifically ordered. Apparently that request went completely unnoticed because, once again, the pizzas were dry. I asked for Parmesan cheese and was handed four packets for two pizzas. That certainly wasn't going to save the pizza. I also noticed something else: Round Table has never been known for thin-crust pizza, yet that's essentially what we were served. The entire experience just didn't resemble the Round Table Pizza I remember. So naturally, I asked the employees what was going on. I was told the location had been sold and will soon be under new management. I sincerely hope that's true, because based on this experience, something needs to change. Round Table has built its reputation around a distinctive pizza, and this location currently isn't delivering anything close to what customers expect from the name. The fact that the place was practically empty on a Friday night probably says something by itself. I will give this location another chance once the new ownership takes over. I'll come back, order another pizza, and give them a completely new and honest review based on that experience. But for now? I'll take a hard pass on Round Table at this location. Maybe I'll just walk next door to Wingstop instead.
