Our waitress Rachel was great and took good care of us. We ordered the French dip (added Swiss, onions, and mushrooms) solid sandwich, though it could've used a touch more salt. The real star though, was the fish and chips. Genuinely some of the best I've ever had. Lightly battered, flaky, perfectly cooked. The vibe lands in that sweet spot of upscale casual without crossing into fine dining, comfortable but elevated. Highly recommend if you're passing through Carmel. We'll definitely be back.

The fish and chips is the ultimate meal. The burger was savory, soft and creamy just he right amount. It perfectly paired with the Talbott pinot noir they recommended. The only comment is make is the amount of French fries that were served with the burger. The plate was a lot larger looking because a sparse amount of fries was served alongside. Maybe add a little more next time just to balance it off. The servers/bartenders knew their stuff. They provided what they could in terms of what was popular and well liked. They said both items we ordered were the most popular. The fish and chips have won best fish and chips 3 years in a row. I would agree with this since I usually am not wowed with this dish. I couldn't resist ordering a dessert. The applied tart with vanilla ice cream was so satisfying. Overall service, food quality and experience was very good. If return over and over again for this same food and experience. If I could give 10 stars I would. Carmel and Brody's is a new destination.

I don't think I could ever come here and not order it!! Pop's has such cool, relaxing vibe to it. It feels like home even though I live far away from Gilroy. There is also a pool table and few arcade games! The menu is extensive with plenty of traditional bar food options and some Irish staples. Everything sounded delicious, but I opted for the Pop"s Pub burger. I figured that would be a good starting point to get a feel of how good the food is. The burger was good, but not $21.00 good. The fries were tasty ,and I really enjoyed the side salad that came with it. The burger itself came with lettuce , tomato and a house sauce (thousand island blend). The burger was cooked perfectly , and tasted pretty good. However, when you add a $10.00 IPA to the equation and throw in a tip- I was out $41.00. I didn't like my meal enough to spend that kind of money. For a burger to be this pricey, I needed more. This place seems like a cool place to chill ,watch a game, and enjoy a cold beer. I may just do that next time and skip the meal. The service was poor. Once my food was dropped off , I never heard from the lady again to check on me until she dropped off the check.

A couple of friends and me took the opportunity to stop by on our drive back to LA from the Bay Area (along the 101). First impression: one of those convivial breweries with a thriving locals aspect and vibe. Friends I was with are really into craft beer, so we felt right at home. The folks here were super friendly and welcoming. As a matter of fact, there were some cookies made from another regular that was offered to us while we were there. And those cookies were delish. They have a good variety of styles on draft, but I opted for the BA Barleywine, which was excellent. They also had the football games playing on the TV there so there was that sports bar aspect without being to crowded/ crazy. This place is located in an industrial area of Salinas. We didn't have a problem at all finding parking. Love their beers and love this spot. I would definitely hit it up more if I was able.

We ordered the New York steak and the Kobe Gold (which comes with the salt board). The Kobe Gold is my absolute favorite, it's $135, but it's 100% worth it and we order it every time. So flavorful and perfectly cooked. The brisket queso was delicious, and you can't go wrong with the Caesar salad. I love that they put anchovies on top. We also had the mac and cheese and a baked potato that was HUGE. Everything was spot on. For drinks, we had wine and an Old Fashioned it was good, but I do wish it came with one large square ice cube instead of the smaller ice. Just a small touch that would make it even better! We shared a half Taproom sundae for dessert and it was the perfect amount for four people. Nick was our server (we've had him before) and he always does an excellent job. He's attentive, friendly, and professional. We'll definitely be back. It's always a great experience here!

The tables were crowded together so it presented challenges to exit from many tables. The waiter was friendly and talkative. He made suggestions for the men in our party but seemed to dismiss the women. He missed one of our side dishes entirely. The food was nothing special. The potato skins were dry and the prime rib reminded me of bacon. The lettuce wedge salad was the best food item. I like the Point Reyes blue cheese made it stand out. I had a half order of baby back ribs. They were crispy. We shared 2 desserts. Bread pudding and coconut cake. The pudding was good. The cake was just cake. Because it was my birthday they brought a 2 inch square of gluten free raspberry cake. We did not order it. I requested a scoop of ice cream which came on the pudding. The raspberry cake was dry. We were charged $6 for the cake. Just because a restruantit is exclusive does not make it worth the cost.
