Quality/Quantity - Also known as the 19th hole. I got here first for a drink or two while my wife continued to shop. Volver, Tempranillo, Single Vineyard, La Mancha, Spain 2018 - Was able to finish two glasses before my wife came back from shopping, lol. Thai Curry Shrimp Soup, bowl - Better than expected. Good flavors, generous shrimp. Overall a small menu done well. Well, I just looked at the lunch menu. Atmosphere - Good size location. Dress code is resort casual. So dress like a golfer, lol. Indoor and outdoor seating. Bar seating, where you can find me, lol. Open 7 days a week from 7am to midnight. See website. Service - Friendly and welcoming. Relaxing. Price - Reasonably priced for being in Pebble Beach. $51 + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1919. 1880 - Pacific Improvement Company; headed by the big four. 1881 - 17 mile drive open. 1897 - 9 hole course. 1901 - Started charging 25¢ to enter the 17 mile drive. 1903 - 18 hole course. Stopped by for drinks and appetizers on a Friday afternoon. We were seated promptly, everyone we encountered was very friendly and our food came out quickly. We got the prime beef skewers and brisket queso, both were delicious but the queso was definitely our favorite.

The tap room is very nice! This isn't where it usually is as they are doing construction on the real site, but the view of the course itself is still nice. Our waitress was great and attentive. I didn't want the cheese on my salad and she asked if I wanted to substitute a different cheese, which I hadn't even thought to do! I ordered the beet salad and it was light, yet refreshing. It was the perfect dish for lunchtime.

Tap room Coolest and funniest spot for golfers Mark and the team always say Hi Nick excellent at getting your cocktails right and fast But best is you walking Maria says Hello and seats you at your favorite table The food is always served tasting the best Highly recommend Trying the Tap Room

This is an excellent place to eat, drink, and enjoy ourselves. Jason, the bartender, is exceptional and did a fantastic job. My wife clearly appreciates his skills. Not like that but his martini skills.

We had a great time enjoying our lunch with the first hole in view. Normally that part is closed to the public for private events but they are doing construction on the lodge. Our drinks took over 20 minutes which was irritating because we just got waters and 2 cokes. We finally had another waiter help us. The food finally came and it was yummy. We also got the key lime pie which was awesome. Other than the drink drought we had a great time.

We had great service for lunch. We ate in the temporary location in July '25. The prime rib chili and cornbread were delicious. Ask for bread service. It's delicious. We had a view of the hole 1 fairway.

This was a great surprise while in Carmel! I shot over to the iconic Pebble Beach Golf Course and had an incredible dinner at the Tap Room, their temporary steak house while the original is being renovated. I started with a fantastic Old Fashion! Then went straight to a nice piece of prime rib with a corn side dish. Paired that with a delicious Pinot Nior. Finished with a Nutty Irishman!!! Beautiful night and fantastic food!

I dined here this last Tuesday, in their new temporary location, while the old location is undergoing renovations. They have set up a pleasant spot along the golf course. It doesn't have the same clubby feel, but it is pleasantly appointed with both indoor and outdoor seating and a sizable bar. It is easy to find with posted signage. My lunch was excellent, as usual. That's refreshing. I enjoyed the prime filet Mignon, which I always order. It melted in my mouth! So delicious! So tender and perfectly cooked medium rare. They didn't have favorite au gratin potatoes on the current menu. So I ordered the potato wedges. These were tasty and huge! As always, great selection of wines by the glass. Service was adequate.

FOOD: 5 SERVICE: 4 AMBIANCE: 5 VALUE: 5 The Tap Room is in the Pebble Beach resort main building. The is an entrance directly from the main courtyard. It is a traditional pub with full sit down meal service. We were lucky enough to grab a table for early dinner during Car Week. The hostess was very kind and seated our table of four very hungry people. The only stipulation was that we can only have the table for 1 hour 45 minutes. We had the Prime Rib (different cuts) and it was delicious and tender. Then we ordered two desserts because I have a weakness for bread pudding and the ladies wanted a sundae. The bread pudding had excellent texture and taste. But the Tap Room Sundae was at a different level! First, it was HUGE, then there were tons of yummy ingredients, and finally the dark chocolate sauce was flavorful and not too sweet. All in all an excellent traditional English style pub.

View and server were outstanding! We came here for a nice prime rib dinner to be told that the online menu wasn't updated regularly. No prime rib or lobster like we had hoped for. Ended up with a cheeseburger and French dip with fries. Wasn't impressed honestly with either. For what we had they'd get 3 out of 5 stars.

Need I say more? While the Lodge is under renovation, The Tap Room is relocated temporarily to Fairway One--where it was during Covid. The ambiance lacks compared to the original BUT the Coconut Cake always shines. OUTSTANDING!

My husband and I visited Pebble Beach with friends last Friday (July 25th). One of the best choices we made was to have lunch at The Tap Room. We ordered the salmon dish and asked for a second plate as we were going to share the dish between us. Instead, the chef split the dish for us and two plates were presented at the table each with the accoutrements of the dish. The salmon was tender and perfectly prepared, exquisite in flavor. My husband later ordered a piece of chocolate cake of which he offered to share as well. It was the most delicious, moist and chocolate filled cake we have ever tasted. The wait staff was very accommodating, friendly and efficient. When leaving, we asked the maître d' to give our compliments to the chef. Prices were reasonable and we will definitely return!

An anniversary gift to us from The Tap Room. Delicious and beautiful! Thanks, Nick!

Our waitress Rachel was great and took good care of us. We ordered the French dip (added Swiss, onions, and mushrooms) solid sandwich, though it could've used a touch more salt. The real star though, was the fish and chips. Genuinely some of the best I've ever had. Lightly battered, flaky, perfectly cooked. The vibe lands in that sweet spot of upscale casual without crossing into fine dining, comfortable but elevated. Highly recommend if you're passing through Carmel. We'll definitely be back.

The fish and chips is the ultimate meal. The burger was savory, soft and creamy just he right amount. It perfectly paired with the Talbott pinot noir they recommended. The only comment is make is the amount of French fries that were served with the burger. The plate was a lot larger looking because a sparse amount of fries was served alongside. Maybe add a little more next time just to balance it off. The servers/bartenders knew their stuff. They provided what they could in terms of what was popular and well liked. They said both items we ordered were the most popular. The fish and chips have won best fish and chips 3 years in a row. I would agree with this since I usually am not wowed with this dish. I couldn't resist ordering a dessert. The applied tart with vanilla ice cream was so satisfying. Overall service, food quality and experience was very good. If return over and over again for this same food and experience. If I could give 10 stars I would. Carmel and Brody's is a new destination.

Parker (the owner) is the real deal--passionate, witty, sometimes sarcastic, and genuinely fun. The cozy bar is surrounded by ever-changing photos, art, and laugh-out-loud signage. Stories live here: wall to wall, corner to corner, and everywhere in between. Locals and travelers exchange stories, play dice or cards. No fancy nonsense--just premium pours, neat or on the rocks. *And now the gut punch: they're being forced to close the same month they're celebrating their 100-year anniversary. The new building owners don't seem to care about the character and legacy of Carmel, the devotion of a fourth-generation owner, or what it means to lose a place that's thrived for a century. I was so thrilled to check this pub out especially with our doggie, Meatball the Bulldog! How perfect right? A Bulldog at The Bulldog Sports Pub. We snagged the last available booth, and it had crumbs on there. Not clean. SMH. I went to the bar to order some drinks for my boyfriend and me since he left his wallet in the car. It was raining that night, and we parked several blocks away. The service was okay. I remember the guy bartender said $29something, but then he charged me $30something. I got the Jalapeno Margarita while my boyfriend had the Tito's Mule. My drink was very sweet with a kick of jalapeno while his was pretty good. They had music playing. It seems that there is a modern jukebox where you can pay to pick a song. There was one pool table for people to play. So many people came up to pet Meatball and give him so much attention. He absolutely loved it! There was one guy who asked if he can say "Hi" to Meatball, and we said that it was okay like we normally do. This weirdo was basically making out with Meatball; not cool at all man. Then Meatball flipped on his back, and he was holding Meatball. My boyfriend told him to let go of Meatball. It was such an uncomfortable interaction. Not normal at all. He even said, "This is my NYE kiss!" SMDH. The guy sat down at a table that is across from us, and he kept looking at us. Founded in Monterey in 2014, Alvarado Street Brewery expanded its production and its restaurants to meet demand. This location in the Carmel Plaza Shopping Center opened in 2018, and they do produce beer here, though their main production and canning happens at their original Monterey and expanded Salinas plants. They also have a new beer garden at the new soccer stadium in Marina. We waited around at the mall until it opened at 11:30. Service was excellent all-around, with us being seated right away, and our server, Ian, providing some top-notch recommendations for both food and beer. I asked him about their flights, which were the standard 5 oz pours, and individually priced. But he mentioned that if I ordered their promotional deal (in this case, their Korean-style loco moco), it would come with a flight of their 4 core beers. He had me sold as soon as he said 'loco moco'. Everything came out on-time, and served at the right temperature as appropriate. 4 beer flight (included with loco moco plate) - flagship Monterey Beer (American Light Lager, brewed at their Salinas plant); Pilsner (German-style Pilsner, also brewed at their Salinas plant); Mai Tai (American IPA, Salinas); Howzit Punch (fruited sour, modeled after Hawaiian POG). All of the beers were really good. with the Howzit being the most liked, not only on principle (we really love Hawaii) but also on taste. Korean-Style Loco Moco ($25) - when told that the white rice on a traditional loco moco was being replaced by kimchi fried rice, my original reaction was 'Dang...why didn't I think of that'. It was a beautiful looking dish, for sure. In terms of taste, just OK. The rice wasn't great, and the hamburger patty was OK (a bit dry). But the over-easy egg added a nice level of richness and the gravy fit the dish. The strips of gim (seaweed sheets) was a great touch and appreciated. Roasted Drunken Half Chicken ($33) - another great looking dish: a cut up half chicken with a ton of crisping done on the skin. It came with two dipping sauces (a bbq and a butter based), along with pickled vegetables on the side, and a jalapeno biscuit. My wife loved the biscuit and didn't need the extra butter. The chicken looked dry though, and she confirmed it. The dark meat was OK, but the white meat was very dry, confirming that one needs to use the bbq sauce and the pickled vegetables to counteract that. Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich ($20) - my mother-in-law loved this, and she proved it by eating it all (though it could have something to do with all the walking we did in the morning). I enjoyed the fresh cole slaw (tart with a nice mix of vegetables). And all of us really enjoyed the fries...again proving that food service frozen fries can be marvelous if deep fried (and served) properly. My wife and I both agreed that the Mai Tai PA and Howzit Punch were really good and worth bringing back home so got a 4-pack of each ($16 each). Haven't had a chance to try it at home yet, but will do so when wanting to remember our trip.

There are plenty of amazing places to eat in Carmel, but this is a hidden gem. It's practically hidden away in a plaza with an outdoor patio, but there is plenty of indoor seating as well parking of course can be tricky in this area, but you shouldn't have to walk more than a block or two. I've been to other Alvarado Street brewery locations, but they each independently run and this one is by far my favorite. They always have different things on the menu to eat and drink and we are always satisfied. My +1 has a go to salad with raw beets in it, and I usually prefer something meatier. This time I went for a brisket sandwich, which was a little bit greasy (as expected) but was incredible. The meat was cooked to perfection and it paired well with the brioche bun and whatever sauce they put on it. We also had a calamari appetizer, which was elevated with some furikake seasoning. The beers, of course were absolutely delicious. I tried one of their sours and a barley wine. My +1 opted for a stout. The flavors are always changing, so we never know what we're going to get to try the next time we visit. If elevated bar food and craft beer, sounds like a good time to you, I would recommend this place in a heartbeat!
