Salmon Tartare
Dexter F.

I made a one day online reservation for Sticks during the last week of December and it was a good thing as they were completely booked when we arrived at the restaurant. We were celebrating a birthday and was really important to get a table. We had a table near the window that looked out to some fire pits. The restaurant is more like a sports bar but has a separate dining room. The noise level was loud but I think timing is everything. As for my meal, I enjoyed an appetizer of Salmon Tartare, it came with crisp artisan bread; my entree was the Lobster Roll with a dipping sauce. Overall, the service was excellent and attentive. Looking forward to going back again for a fun causal dinner.

We ate here last night and the ambiance was wonderful. Wanted to sit by the fire pits but we sat at a table under the heaters and it was actually a lot better cuz it's more private. The view was gorgeous. Our server was fantastic! Our food was really bad. Tater tots were great but like how can you mess those up? My Husband said the chili was so so, wasn't bad but def wasn't good. The calamari was terrible. I feel like it's pretty hard to mess that up. Fish tacos were okay. I expected them to be better. Setting was great and service was great but food was bad.

So we've done "pebble" a bit and love Roy's. So much so that we've done the drink at the fire pits and dinner at Roy's a few times over the years. My husband reserved a spot here for early dinner/ late happy hour with a sunset and bagpipes view. He nailed it honestly! The bagpiper starts his night here and played more than a few songs. Our view was amazing. And the outside area is protected from the sea breeze. Our drinks here were fantastic. The shared plates that we ordered were amazing. And I so appreciate our very patient server when we were both indecisive and juggling babies and a dog. His patience was not lost on me, as mom. This was a great "hack" to the area with a great view and experience.

Whenever I visit my mother in Pebble Beach, we always try to stop into Sticks. It's a great sports bar with an amazing view of the water! We typically have drinks and appetizers outside by the fire pits. Incredible! This time, we ate in the dining room which was nice. Service was impeccable. We had the Asian pork ribs, fish tacos and I had wings and a salad. The food is not bad. But you're here for the view!

Blackened Fish Tacos

Some really tasty dishes! Overall 4/5 rating with some amazing dishes and some that were just alright Calamari 5/5 - came with cocktail sauce and cream of tartar with fried lemon as well. Couldn't stop eating!! Sticks burger 5/5 - would order again! Highlight of each meal Blackened fish tacos 2/5 - a bit plain, nothing special. Wouldn't recommend Cali burger 2/5 - a bit overcooked and more of a basic burger Ambiance 4/5 - view of golf course (first) and water (background). Overall decent

Excellent meal at Sticks on Spanish Bay. We heard about their daily bagpiper show around 5pm (please check their website for more specific details) and wanted to experience that unique event. We sat outside and they turned one of the fire pits for us as soon as we sat. We got our drinks and delicious food. Their Sticks Burger was moist and well seasoned...just delicious and juicy..... The pasta dish and the tacos were also a hit....Excellent food and excellent service. We had gorgeous views of The Links at Spanish Bay and the Pacific Ocean. I would definitely come back... For many who play golf this is the perfect place for savory food served up in a lively sports-bar atmosphere. Many people also come here just to enjoy cold beverages, shared bites and creative entrees while catching a big game on multiple flat-panel TVs.

Cheers! 19th hole. Pacific ocean out those windows!

It has definitely been a minute since my last visit! I am happy to say that it still remains one of the best casual restaurants on the spectacular Pebble Beach golf circuit. Specifically located at The Inn at Spanish Bay. The food, service, and ambiance are top-level or, as Elite Yelpers like to say, 5 stars! It started early in the morning with a phone call to confirm the full menu being available all day. Miguel could not have been a better ambassador of great customer service. My bad... I called at noon probably the busiest of times! He was warm, welcoming, and patient with my many inquiries. Thank you, Miguel! But the hospitable customer service did not end there! Sticks the Restaurant is California laid back, Pacific Ocean hip! Why Pacific Ocean? Because the bar and adjoining restaurant have magnificent P.O. views that make me so happy! Today, the view in the bar was as magnificent as ever. Joanna, hostess, greeting us with a smile . Anna, our server who was extra special, and Kim and Danny running the bar! They all had us covered! Starting with a glass of Sonoma-Cutrer Chardonnay. Yum. The food was great too! Heck... that's why we are here! A hamburger for the man, please, who likes his bacon. Served with fries or the famous tater tots. Check out that photo! Me...blackened fish (wild cod) tacos. OMG!Delicious! In a corn tortilla with pico de gallo, avacado, and cabbage slaw. Add a top-notch margarita to the mix, and you are in foodie heaven. Low key ambiance. Bar flat screen TVs are plentiful. Outdoor seating. Many interesting people/characters to watch. It is a win-win for sure! 5:45 p.m., the Bagpipe player arrives every evening on the dot. A tradition welcomed by everyone! People show up! Outside on the patio with the fire features (and maybe another beverage) is heaven! It is something to behold for sure. All pros at Sticks! Come and see for yourself. It is not to be missed! (Bring your $11.25, 17 Mile Drive entrance fee receipt to Sticks. Spend $35 or more and have your fee refunded!)

Shrimp & Grits

I ordered the shrimp and grits and they were delicious. Reminded me of the ones I got in the deep south. Great job.

Came here to watch the game and have a Oceanview. They have four TV screens at the bar so you can watch the game and the ocean at the same time while having a glass of wine. Service was good, just wish they would turn up the game it was super low and very hard to hear. Casual spot with a gorgeous view! Tip have the valet have a golf cart take you up to Sticks from the hotel lobby they can also order a cart to pick you up though they didn't show up for me on the return trip but the walk is not too bad.

Special birthday dessert

Sticks is an upscale bar food restaurant at Pebble Beach. We made reservations there to actually see the tradition of the bagpiper play at sundown as it's the best location to see him. The bagpiper has been a tradition for 37 years playing every day rain or shine. It's a cool thing to see. Sticks is a warm inviting comfortable restaurant with a large outdoor patio. Perfect to view the bagpiper. My cousins and my husband and I started our visit to Carmel with dinner at Sticks. Zuri was our server and he was attentive and provided great service. We started out with cocktails (old fashioneds for the boys and dirty martinis for the girls) and shared a hummus plate. The hummus plate had carrot & cucumber sticks, blue cheese, warm olives, pita triangles and a bulb of roasted garlic. I would suggest more pita on the plate. My husband had the Sticks burger with maple-onion bacon jam and fries. It was a fantastic burger cooked perfectly to medium rare and full of flavor. I opted for the turkey burger with swiss cheese and cranberry sauce along with coleslaw. It was very good, so moist. It was Thanksgiving in a sandwich. We also went to Sticks to celebrate my cousin's birthday. The restaurant gave him a special dessert with a chocolate "happy birthday" written on the plate, which we all shared. That was so nice!! I recommend a trip to Pebble Beach to dine at Sticks for the delicious food and to experience the Bagpiper at Spanish Bay.

Pebble Beach Signature Manhattan

Sticks is a bar and grill at the world famous Pebble Beach located in the Inn at Spanish Bay. You enter on 17 mile drive and pay an entrance fee of $11.25 (as of Oct 2022), which is refunded/credited to you if you purchase over $35. Gillian and Luis were the servers and both were outstanding...friendly and efficient. Sit on the patio - literally, the view is stunning. You can hear the waves crashing. It is right on the golf course, so you may see golfers coming from their games or vic versa. They also have firepits with clear windows to sit, enjoy happy hour, and soak up the view.. Great spot for people watching, although it can get a little loud. There were a table of guys near me where one of them sounded like John Goodman and the other sounded like Joe Pesci! Their signature Manhattan and tofu banh mi sandwich were delicious and perfect after a long day when I needed to unwind. Get the tater tots too. - perfectly crunchy. Enjoy!

We stopped here to have an appetizer and some cocktails before my husband's tee time at Spanish Bay and thoroughly enjoyed it! We ordered the chicken nachos, which were a great size for 2 people to share, and each got a cocktail. I got The Ace (very refreshing) and my husband got the Sticks Margarita (yummy). Sorry for forgetting to take photos the host was super friendly and let us choose wherever we wanted to sit! Beautiful views outside!!

From open mic and live music to themed nights like Y2K Night, Magic Hunks, and Burlesque, there's always something happening -- even if some events aren't totally my thing, I love that there's truly something for everyone. The bartenders I've met so far -- Chris, Dan, Andrew, Kyle, Kenzie, Hunter(i think there's two?), Scott and Arie -- know exactly how to keep the crowd happy and the party going. Huge shoutout to the manager, Frank (aka DJ Edison Tesla), and the bouncers for keeping the vibes high, the crowd contained, and always anticipating any trouble to keep everyone safe. I was so thrilled to check this pub out especially with our doggie, Meatball the Bulldog! How perfect right? A Bulldog at The Bulldog Sports Pub. We snagged the last available booth, and it had crumbs on there. Not clean. SMH. I went to the bar to order some drinks for my boyfriend and me since he left his wallet in the car. It was raining that night, and we parked several blocks away. The service was okay. I remember the guy bartender said $29something, but then he charged me $30something. I got the Jalapeno Margarita while my boyfriend had the Tito's Mule. My drink was very sweet with a kick of jalapeno while his was pretty good. They had music playing. It seems that there is a modern jukebox where you can pay to pick a song. There was one pool table for people to play. So many people came up to pet Meatball and give him so much attention. He absolutely loved it! There was one guy who asked if he can say "Hi" to Meatball, and we said that it was okay like we normally do. This weirdo was basically making out with Meatball; not cool at all man. Then Meatball flipped on his back, and he was holding Meatball. My boyfriend told him to let go of Meatball. It was such an uncomfortable interaction. Not normal at all. He even said, "This is my NYE kiss!" SMDH. The guy sat down at a table that is across from us, and he kept looking at us. We quickly finished our drinks, and then we left to ring in the new year at our hotel lobby instead. We should have just hung out in our hotel lobby instead of going out; it was much better there.
