Most Irish place we've ever frequented in the states. If there were more tables to fill up the space, it would feel like Ireland! But I digress- get the Guinness Braised Short Ribs and the Irish Stew- you won't regret. Get a pint of the Guinness as well, and finish with the bread pudding! Absolutely Amazing Experience at O'Callaghan's! My husband and I have visited O'Callaghan's on two separate occasions, and both times were nothing short of wonderful! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The host and waitress were quick to get us seated and made sure we were taken care of right away. The food came out promptly, fresh, and delicious. Every dish we tried was full of flavor, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality and portion size. You can really tell they take pride in what they serve. And the drinks, wow! Their margarita and wine were to die for. Perfectly mixed, refreshing, and the ideal way to complement the meal. The fried chicken sliders on Hawaiian rolls was fantastic - a lot of flavor with a nice soft bun creating a great texture! The steak fries were hardy and not overly fried. The clam chowder was not chunky but it was creamy and tasty. The pear and beet salad was nice and fresh with the perfect amount of dressing. Drinks were great - I washed all of the above down with a Bombay Sapphire tonic and a Guinness. We had a private welcome party for my son's (and now wife's) wedding guests coming for the weekend. Caesar was absolutely amazing (ditto on our last visit there as well) and worked to make sure everything went smoothly. We thought the food was great and there were generous portions. They put out heaters to make sure no one outside was cold. The guy who sang that night was also great - it was a fun time for everyone. And even though there was signage up that it was a private party - they were also very good about making sure no one else crashed the party for free drinks! Would highly recommend. read more

We had an elevated bar menu with top notch culinary choices that were savory and you can tell had quality ingredients written all over them. Service was great. Our server/bartender was great. Friendly thoughtful and attentive. I had a Diet Coke ($4.50) which was funky tasting, and the server offered another, but tasted the same. Not a big deal. The pretzel with cheese ($16.95) was yummy! My BF liked his Guinness ($8) and Fish and chips ($22.95) My Irish stew was not very Irish. A very thin soupy broth and was more like a vegetable beef soup. I swear I also tasted cumin, so it was more like a Mexican beef soup. I love soup and I love Mexican food! But when ordering Irish soup..., you get where I'm going! Very small bowl of soup $22. I've waited years to try this place, and I "might" try again in a few more years. $90 including tax and tip. read more

My husband and I had amazing time at O'Callaghans for our wedding after-party. The spot came highly recommended by our wedding venue, Mission Ranch. We were so happy with how incredible the DJ was that night, and we had an absolute blast dancing with our friends. The DJ at O'Callaghans was truly a highlight of the day for us. The drinks were also fabulous, as was the staff. We couldn't have asked for a better after-party experience. We will definitely be back for another evening of music and dancing. read more

On St. Patrick's Day, we decided to go to the quintessential Irish bar. The food was impressive for a bar, and then we learned that they had a full kitchen, the owner introduced himself and asked us if we had tried the Irish coffee. He then told us that he has sent his guys to get trained on the real art of the Irish coffee up at the Buena Vista Café in San Francisco. If you don't know about the Buena Vista, they introduced Irish coffee to the United States in 1952. I must be honest, this was as good of an Irish coffee as the Buena Vista's! Since this experience, i've ordered an Irish coffee at every restaurant I've been to lately on the peninsula. No one comes close. You should definitely try one! read more

Let me start by saying--we're from Philly, so when I saw a Philly cheesesteak on the menu, I knew my husband would have to give it a try. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! I got the Jalapeno Margarita while my boyfriend had the Tito's Mule. My drink was very sweet with a kick of jalapeno while his was pretty good. They had music playing. It seems that there is a modern jukebox where you can pay to pick a song. There was one pool table for people to play. So many people came up to pet Meatball and give him so much attention. He absolutely loved it! There was one guy who asked if he can say "Hi" to Meatball, and we said that it was okay like we normally do. This weirdo was basically making out with Meatball; not cool at all man. Then Meatball flipped on his back, and he was holding Meatball. My boyfriend told him to let go of Meatball. It was such an uncomfortable interaction. Not normal at all. He even said, "This is my NYE kiss!" SMDH. The guy sat down at a table that is across from us, and he kept looking at us. We quickly finished our drinks, and then we left to ring in the new year at our hotel lobby instead. We should have just hung out in our hotel lobby instead of going out; it was much better there.

I wanted an even bigger one. Now the real star! The Huckleberry (9.9/10). This one surprised me. Bacon, sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese, and horseradish sauce served on sourdough bread. The sourdough took it to another level crispy on the outside, soft inside, and packed with flavor. The horseradish sauce added just enough kick without being overwhelming. Every bite was balanced, savory, and rich without feeling too heavy. Easily one I'd go back for again and again.
