    Hangover helper with bbq chips
    Mei Y.

We came to this restaurant after seeing the positive reviews. We ordered the beer battered salmon with garlic fries, hangover helper sandwich with BBQ chips, and kids meal of chicken tenders and fries. The fried fish is bland and requires the sauce provided and lemon to have some taste to it. The hangover helper sandwich has bacon, avocado, fried egg, cheese on sourdough bread. This sandwich was good. The chicken tenders were dry. The fries were good and were seasoned well. BBQ chips can skip. Service is good. Overall average meal.

Teriyaki chicken bowl and loaded mashed potatoes

We had a great meal and our server James was AWESOME! I had salmon chips and loaded mashed potatoes and my wife had teriyaki chicken bowl and we have never had a bad meal here!

Classic Hamburger, I always get extra onion on my burgers. The meat on the burger was A1.

Looking for a place to eat while in Santa Cruz we came across the Parish Publik House. We had no idea on how good it really was. The reviews were stellar which made us choose the place but it was far better than we could imagine . Very friendly service with a great beer menu, Hard alcohol as well. The food came fresh, hot and very tasty. I was sold on the cheeseburger Too me I can judge a place on a plain cheeseburger. If you can't do that right then pretty much everything else is gonna be mediocre. That wasn't the case here. Everything was very good from the bbq chips, French fries and even the ranch was top tier. Looking forward to coming back again the next time I'm in town. The ambiance wasn't to bad being that we were there kinda early In The day but it started to fill up due to the lunch crowd so that's something to keep in mind if trying to come in later In The day.

    A wonderful green salad

What a wonderful place to eat! Looked it up on yelp while we were in Aptos. It was really cool looking restaurant like a cabin look to it. Our server wasTito and he was great! He gave us recommendation and showed and checked on us, which was wonderful for a server as far as I'm concerned I ordered a green salad and that was great to start with. We had fried artichoke hearts for an appetizer and they were the best I've ever had. I had fish and chips! I heard about the fish and chips being so good especially since the fish with salmon. So delicious. My husband had parish pie with mashed potatoes and he loved it. I tried it and it was really good. We had chocolate chip bread pudding with a scoop of ice cream for dessert. Oh my goodness so delicious! We also had cocktails. My husband had a Moscow Mule and I had something called a purple drink. It was very good! I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back to try different menu items and different cocktails.

The best burger around! They offer many craft beers on tap too. Service is friendly and atmosphere is relaxed. Plenty of sports on the TVs. It's often busy and can get crowded but theirs a reason, it's a great place to be. This was the old Britannia Arms restaurant. Sometimes the parking is limited but that's no fault of the restaurant. This area of downtown Aptos is old and very few places have significant parking. Don't let that stop you! Go get yourself the best burger around with a great craft brew or cocktail.

Staff was wonderful, attentive and helpful! Food was visually delicious and equally as amazing in taste! OBSESSED with their salad thank you!

"Wow, every dish we tried was absolutely delicious! We sampled a variety of items from across the menu, and everything impressed us. The place has a great vibe, and the service was excellent."

Everytime we go, it's always a 10/10. The food is just amazing, their wings, favorite wings of all time, and I am talking about the Rocket to Uranus wings. The service was algo great, really nice serve. Always come out satisfied.

Fish and chips with garlic fries

Good stop during a road trip up the 1. Fish and chips were unique since they use salmon. Some of the best garlic fries I've had, they don't skimp out on the garlic.

    Luminous Quasar Imperial IPA

Came here without knowing much about it but heard it had an interesting beer selection so we figured it would be a good spot for a New Year's Eve lunch. The beer selection was quite interesting and I ended up choosing the Luminous Quasar which was a very flavorful Imperial IPA. For my lunch I had the Ooey Gooey Burger which was a classic burger with brie and roasted garlic, and I got it with garlic fries. The burger was very flavorful and cooked medium rare as I requested. My fries had a lot of garlic however girlfriend who also got garlic fries had barely any on her's which was a little confusing. However she said her burger was delicious and really liked the flavor. The service was good, very attentive and always made sure that our waters were filled up. There was a little miscommunication when I wanted a second beer; I wanted to order a different one to explore more of the beer menu. However when the server asked if I wanted another beer and I said yes, they walked off and a couple minutes later they returned with the Luminous Quasar, which wasn't a bad thing but I was curious about the other craft beers on the menu. Overall this spot was a fun spot to get lunch and grab a drink. It has nice simple items but elevated giving classic bar food some unique twists. I would definitely come back here again and maybe give some of their cocktails a try.

Lovely as always. Great spot to visit for delicious comfort food. Love that they have parking, service is casual and friendly with a rustic ambiance. If you get cold, like me, take a sweater or jacket.

The meat and vegetables were hot and flavorful, though the mashed potatoes scooped on top like ice cream had an unusual presentation. What bothered me was the service and the surprise charges. The restaurant seemed understaffed and service was slow, although it was busy and we were patient. We asked if one of the TVs could be changed to a World Cup match and were told it couldn't be done. Later, another TV far from us was changed to the World Cup game, which made that response confusing and frustrating. I was also surprised to find an automatic 18% gratuity added to our bill. We were a family of five, which I would not consider a large group, and we were not informed of the charge in advance. The menu referenced an automatic gratuity for groups of six or more, which did not apply to us. I normally tip at least 20%, so this wasn't about the amount--it was about transparency. Overall, the food was okay, but the service and unexpected charge left me with a negative impression. I won't be returning.

Waitress finally grabbed some menus and asked them "have you been helped?" I interjected and asked, "Can I place an order to go first please?" Yet the ambiance, service, and food are very good! I love the various aspects of the decor, as well. Other than parking challenges on a busy night in the downtown, we were lucky to get a table for 5 relatively quickly, as this place isn't that large, with some additional bar seating, and it seems very popular. 5:30 was a great time, as we watched the waiting line grow longer after we were seated. Our server, Michael J., did a great job of greeting us, providing menus, and taking initial drink orders while we decided what to try. We decided to try BBQ honey wings, fried artichoke hearts, and onion rings for appetizers. The main courses were two orders of kids' cheese pizza and tater tots, a small dinner salad, a cup of New England-style clam chowder, and a NY Steak sandwich. The food came in a reasonable time, with appetizers and salad first, then the rest. The apps were good, but the onion rings were a bit greasy. The honey wings were well-liked, as well as the artichoke hearts, which, strangely, were not oily like the onion rings. Yummy! The cheese pizzas paired with tater tots were certainly different, but the pizza was more like a reheated frozen pizza. The tots were okay. The NY Steak sandwich was good as well, with a side of steak fries - obviously! Overall, we enjoyed the meal and would definitely consider dining here in the future when in town.
