Classic Hamburger, I always get extra onion on my burgers. The meat on the burger was A1.

Looking for a place to eat while in Santa Cruz we came across the Parish Publik House. We had no idea on how good it really was. The reviews were stellar which made us choose the place but it was far better than we could imagine . Very friendly service with a great beer menu, Hard alcohol as well. The food came fresh, hot and very tasty. I was sold on the cheeseburger Too me I can judge a place on a plain cheeseburger. If you can't do that right then pretty much everything else is gonna be mediocre. That wasn't the case here. Everything was very good from the bbq chips, French fries and even the ranch was top tier. Looking forward to coming back again the next time I'm in town. The ambiance wasn't to bad being that we were there kinda early In The day but it started to fill up due to the lunch crowd so that's something to keep in mind if trying to come in later In The day.

    A wonderful green salad

What a wonderful place to eat! Looked it up on yelp while we were in Aptos. It was really cool looking restaurant like a cabin look to it. Our server wasTito and he was great! He gave us recommendation and showed and checked on us, which was wonderful for a server as far as I'm concerned I ordered a green salad and that was great to start with. We had fried artichoke hearts for an appetizer and they were the best I've ever had. I had fish and chips! I heard about the fish and chips being so good especially since the fish with salmon. So delicious. My husband had parish pie with mashed potatoes and he loved it. I tried it and it was really good. We had chocolate chip bread pudding with a scoop of ice cream for dessert. Oh my goodness so delicious! We also had cocktails. My husband had a Moscow Mule and I had something called a purple drink. It was very good! I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back to try different menu items and different cocktails.

The best burger around! They offer many craft beers on tap too. Service is friendly and atmosphere is relaxed. Plenty of sports on the TVs. It's often busy and can get crowded but theirs a reason, it's a great place to be. This was the old Britannia Arms restaurant. Sometimes the parking is limited but that's no fault of the restaurant. This area of downtown Aptos is old and very few places have significant parking. Don't let that stop you! Go get yourself the best burger around with a great craft brew or cocktail.

Staff was wonderful, attentive and helpful! Food was visually delicious and equally as amazing in taste! OBSESSED with their salad thank you!

"Wow, every dish we tried was absolutely delicious! We sampled a variety of items from across the menu, and everything impressed us. The place has a great vibe, and the service was excellent."

Everytime we go, it's always a 10/10. The food is just amazing, their wings, favorite wings of all time, and I am talking about the Rocket to Uranus wings. The service was algo great, really nice serve. Always come out satisfied.

Fish and chips with garlic fries

Good stop during a road trip up the 1. Fish and chips were unique since they use salmon. Some of the best garlic fries I've had, they don't skimp out on the garlic.

Came here without knowing much about it but heard it had an interesting beer selection so we figured it would be a good spot for a New Year's Eve lunch. The beer selection was quite interesting and I ended up choosing the Luminous Quasar which was a very flavorful Imperial IPA. For my lunch I had the Ooey Gooey Burger which was a classic burger with brie and roasted garlic, and I got it with garlic fries. The burger was very flavorful and cooked medium rare as I requested. My fries had a lot of garlic however girlfriend who also got garlic fries had barely any on her's which was a little confusing. However she said her burger was delicious and really liked the flavor. The service was good, very attentive and always made sure that our waters were filled up. There was a little miscommunication when I wanted a second beer; I wanted to order a different one to explore more of the beer menu. However when the server asked if I wanted another beer and I said yes, they walked off and a couple minutes later they returned with the Luminous Quasar, which wasn't a bad thing but I was curious about the other craft beers on the menu. Overall this spot was a fun spot to get lunch and grab a drink. It has nice simple items but elevated giving classic bar food some unique twists. I would definitely come back here again and maybe give some of their cocktails a try.

Lovely as always. Great spot to visit for delicious comfort food. Love that they have parking, service is casual and friendly with a rustic ambiance. If you get cold, like me, take a sweater or jacket.

Monterey Chicken Bowl add Dave O's fried chicken

One of my favorite local spots for good beer, good food, and great people. Multiple TV's for all the sports, every person who works here is so friendly, and the community is always supporting for a fun time. The Belushi burger is a family favorite, and they have some great twists on classics (the out and in is my person favorite, paired with parish fries for the real "in and out" experience). The Monterey chicken bowl is like the classic KFC bowl, but upgraded - creamy mashed potato's topped with corn, bacon, and chicken - get the Dave o's fried chicken upgrade, you won't regret it

    Classic burger

Was craving a turkey sandwhich and this place did not disappoint! I got their BLTA with turkey, no tomatoes and it was exactly what I wanted. I got fries on the side which were delicious as well. Their classic burger was also very good. Their garlic fries were a little too garlicky, for my liking but still pretty good. Parking is very limited, we got lucky and found one as soon as we got there. They charge $3 for adding turkey to the sandwhich, but it definitely makes the sandwhich better! Our server was very nice and helpful as well. We sat on the dining side which was a bit more quiet and relaxed than the bar. Will definitely be going back!

Starting with the Pfiefer (9.6/10) this is your classic, all-American burger done right. American cheese, BBQ sauce, crispy bacon, and an onion ring stacked perfectly on top. It felt American in the best way. The patty was well seasoned and juicy, bacon perfectly crisp, and the BBQ sauce tied everything together without overpowering it. Honestly, the only complaint? I wanted an even bigger one. Now the real star! The Huckleberry (9.9/10). This one surprised me. Bacon, sautéed mushrooms, Swiss cheese, and horseradish sauce served on sourdough bread. The sourdough took it to another level crispy on the outside, soft inside, and packed with flavor. The horseradish sauce added just enough kick without being overwhelming. Every bite was balanced, savory, and rich without feeling too heavy. Easily one I'd go back for again and again. We ordered side salads (because balance) and they were actually amazing fresh, crisp, and not an afterthought like most burger spots. Ambiance: fun pub vibe, clean, lively.Staff was attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better.!!

I'd spent the morning hiking around Pfeiffer Beach and arrived in Carmel in the early afternoon. I was looking for basic sustenance. On the menu it didn't appear fancy-- a basic grilled cheese sandwich with tomato bisque. The combination was delivered to my table hot and fresh. I waited for a few minutes so as to avoid burning my tongue. I observed the bread was crispy, and the cheese combination was nicely melted. The bisque had a nice aroma. The first bite of sandwich was perfection, and following it up with a spoonful of bisque was pure rapture. I was impressed by a humble grilled cheese sandwich because it was made to perfection.

Calamari was very lightly breaded and maybe it was timing but not as crisp of breading as I prefer. That said, it tasted good- I just prefer more crunch. The truffle fries were GREAT. Extra crispy, perfectly salted and seasoned w truffle. I shared the nicoise salad and roast beef sliders - the salad was good, the meat of the sliders was good and the crispy onions were a nice touch. The actual sliders were a tad dry. I think an au jus would've paired perfectly with this and resolved any dryness problem. My boyfriend got the Brophy's burger - extremely cheesy and loved the mushrooms. I'm not often in Carmel, but if I am and need a solid, casual bite, I will definitely be back!!
