Stopped by O'Flaherty's Irish Pub to check out the St. Patricks weekend on Sunday, walked in, and there were a few patrons already enjoying some nice green beer, we had a seat at the bar and looked over the menu. I had a Hennessy Mule while my partner had a beer. I also looked at the food menu and decided to grab some wings and fries to soak up the alcohol. The beverages came out quickly as expected, and the food came out shortly after, with great service. The drinks were great, but what killed it was the Cajun-style dipping sauce for the wings. Wow, delicious! I couldn't help dipping the fries and wings in it and was going to ask more, but I was getting full since I already had a small lunch.

Every time have come to this karaoke bar I've always been greeted by security and bartender seem to really like their job. From what I've seen, all the bartenders also sing so I'm glad they all have musical talents as well! Service is fast and quick, and I like the assortment of different beers on top. Especially like the cider beers they offer since those aren't as popular in other breweries. The DJ for the karaoke night, Anthony is great, he is very personable easy to help out with songs and has a great singing voice as well! Lol Since this is in the middle of downtown, sometimes things become questionable but security is always on their a game so I felt safe coming here as a single woman meeting up with friends. Hee

Good pour of Guinness, but didn't honor the HH pricing on a Thurs after 9pm (no SAP events that day). Also didn't have live band earlier that day that they said would have, but good spot to hang with a group. Classic Irish pub.

It was date night and we decided to visit the different lounges and establishments that were in the San Pedro neighborhood. Stopped in a few to get some drinks. O'Flaherty's Irish Pub was packed and everyone seemed to be enjoying the ambiance and their drinks. The music was loud and the bar was crowded. Managed to get the bartender's attention and ordered a Lemon Drop. Presentation was ok nothing special but the taste was really good and nicely served with the sugar rim.

still our first choice to watch a game. the atmosphere is always great on game day, even if you're the only one rooting for the other team

bit confusing bc you walk in & nobody looks at you or tells you where to sit - but then again I guess this is legit just a bar style thing? anyways ended up sitting at the actual bar & were handed menus afterwards all the TVs were playing the golf thing & I was bored but I suppose that's what everyone wanted to watch haha got three beers - some beers only come inpre-set pour sizes so that was interesting fish & chips were a little heavy on the breading they ran out of ribs? so I got Irish fries - was basically just fries w some sauce on top

Why haven't I been here before? This place has lots of beer. Came here to celebrate St. Patty's day and they have their green o flats, which is tasty! The vibe is dope & the food looks good. Bartenders are nice and quick to take your order. I'd cone back, especially to try the food.

Ambience! Food could have been better. Beer was good. Entry charge was unnecessary since we paid for many drinks and finger food

They also do live music on some nights, though none this past Friday while I was there, even though it was listed on their website (beware you can't trust their online calendar). I got the house made sausage rolls appetizer, the savory meat wrapped in a light flaky puff pastry shell. I usually don't like mustard or horseradish sauce, but I ate everything in this dish and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also ordered the bread pudding (minus the guiness gelato). It took a whopping 20 minutes for this to be ready, and it was this tiny little thing, slightly overcooked, but delicious nonetheless. Wait times and service could have been better, but the taste of everything was pretty decent. Plus they offer such a delectable range of options on the menu... I gotta come back for their brunch items, especially the croissant french toast :)

It is a shame that the owner/manager, whomever that may be, staffed today with just two people!! The date of this car show was announced many many months ago and the event is well attended!! There is/was absolutely no excuse for not having adequate staff!! We walked in for lunch and they were many open tables, but it took quite some time to get menus and even longer to get beverage orders taken. When the beverages arrived, we were short one/one was missing. The Reuben sandwich was very salty and the chicken sandwich under-seasoned. The other sandwich and burger were nothing special. When it came time to leave one party at our table, had to go find the waitress and ask for our bill/check. As a group we debated about not even leaving a tip, but ultimately decided that it was not the waitress nor bartender's fault but management's fault for having a skeleton crew working on an extremely busy event day.

There's a reason people from all over the Peninsula make the trip to this Irish pub on weekend…read morenights. it's become one of the few places in San Carlos that truly feels like nightlife. By day, it's warm, welcoming, and family-friendly. You'll see families enjoying dinner, friends catching up over drinks, and locals stopping in for great food and hospitality. But once Friday night hits, the entire atmosphere transforms. The lights dim, the music turns up, the dance floor fills, and the energy becomes something you'd expect to find in a much bigger city. Friday nights bring a fun mix of crowds; from younger groups looking for DJs, dancing, cocktails, and nightlife energy, to older guests enjoying the live music, atmosphere, and social vibe. Honestly, I'm a little older myself and still absolutely love the younger, high-energy scene here. It's fun, welcoming, and never feels out of place no matter your age. That's what makes this place so unique. Everyone fits in and everyone has a great time. Then Saturdays bring a completely different experience with live artists and an incredible variety of music. One weekend you'll hear young country performers getting the crowd singing along, and the next you'll find authentic Irish fiddlers creating that classic pub atmosphere everyone loves. That variety is what keeps people coming back..every weekend offers something different and memorable. The food is outstanding, the beer and cocktail selection is excellent, and the hospitality is second to none. I finally had the chance to meet Molly, the owner, and it's easy to see why this place has built such a loyal following. Her passion for creating a place where everyone feels welcome shows in every detail. From the amazing service to the live entertainment and unforgettable atmosphere, this isn't just another local pub. It's become a destination spot and one of the true nightlife gems in San Carlos. Highly recommend checking it out, especially on the weekends.

A handsome building with three distinct areas to settle in, it's easy to find comfort here. The choice mix-tape music with ample offerings from the 80s and 90s especially, help set the mood. And though this is an English pub, the music is not confined to the U.K. The beer selection is great - and international, as well. The Guiness menu on the wall is helpful, but there's even more to explore. Tumer Pils, Stella, et al. And there is a good whiskey menu, too. Trials is also great for food. I recently enjoyed their Pub Burger, which is a hearty plate of 1/2 lb. burger, with bacon, cheese, and the usual veggie accompaniment. The 'chips' are good and plentiful, but I have now tried their beer-battered onion rings -- and those are wonderful. Perfectly crunchy, not greasy, and just salty enough. If you do opt for the salad with any of your dishes, it's deep green and crafted with care. The side salad here is no afterthought. The Shepard's Pie looks great, and apparently is (though my dining companion failed to offer me a bite). Previously, I had enjoyed the falafel plate because sometimes, you just want falafel. Also previously, I tasted the chicken curry dish (hearty and delicious). The Mac n Cheese bites got high marks at our table, though I did not partake. The sausage rolls - classic pub fare - were very good on my first trip here. The cold water is refreshing and welcome. And the Tumer Pils hit the spot. It's all good here. Special mention for Thomas, one of the gents here. Super-likable, with a sly sense of humor, Thomas is a major asset at Trials Pub. Parking is easy -- or just ride-share -- just in case.

First night was a Thursday. I ordered the fish and chips which were ok. Nothing spectacular. The scene was dead and there was maybe only 7-10 other people in the entire pub. Second night I came was on a Saturday. I only ordered drinks. There was a bigger crowd but barely, 15-20 people. Overall my opinion of this place is positive and yet I was disappointed that it wasn't better. It's in a great location. There's hotels and condominiums in the area all within walking distance. The atmosphere is great. The staff is awesome! It has so many positive aspects that should make it a regular hangout spot but for some reason it's failing. I'm giving it 5 stars because I feel it deserves better. People should give this place a shot. There is a dart board that is free to play which I think is awesome. A big patio area for large parties. The beer prices are very reasonable. Suggestion to the establishment: They have an AMI juke box, but on both nights the volume was turned down pretty low which kind of made me feel like I wasn't getting my money's worth. Turn it up!!! This place needs to figure out if it wants to be a restaurant that serves beer or be a bar that serves food. Personally I think it needs to realize that it needs to focus on being a bar. There's 15 other restaurants within walking distance from here and that food is 100 times better. This place should focus on getting the customers that leave those restaurants for after meal drinks.

The club soda was as good as any, but the grilled cheese sandwich was a bit disappointing. It was small and lukewarm, and the accompanying fries were bland as well.
