Pasta bolognese
Robert R.

Ok experience but i probably wouldnt be back. I ordered the pasta bolognese. Pasta was a bit undercooked and was flavorless. The dish was a huge portion but not great. Very underwhelming. I also ordered a pomegranate paloma. Its was just ok. Additionally, the service was a bit slow and not too accommodating. Overall, for the price and experience, I probably wont be back.

OMG! Like steak? There's a ribeye steak, garlic mash with veggies for only $25. Hello? The sauce on the steak was to die for~bourbon sauce. I mixed with the mashed potatoes and it was divine! See the pour on my wine. Very generous comparable restaurants walking distance away do not pour as generously. (see this restaurant is one street away from "downtown") My favorite server and the server today is Kristie. She will make sure your service is catered to you. For example, I always want ice tea. I'm never out of ice tea. And I drink it fast. Her service is the best. She gives the best recommendations. And of course the chef is yummy. His name is Miguel and he is always looking for ways to to elevate a dish to my liking. Is that not amazing service? See the berries on this dessert. Need I say more? So, the server and chef are top notch.

-Bad attitude, careless wait staff- What a fall from grace, I used to recommend this place when I used to do ride share. I used to love their friendly and accurate service. I gave them multiple chances before I wrote this review. On one occasion I attempted to move a bar chair over so my friend and I could sit together and I was told "we don't do that here" Last and final time I was grossly over charged for me and my partner's drinks. I asked the waiter if I really had 8 old fashion's, 2 espresso Martinis and 2 Pliny the elder beers in about 2 hours and he said definitely. I wasn't going to argue while having cocktails, just will never go again!

Turn 12 has a great menu! Today fish and chips were delicious. Has to be my new favorite meal.

My friend and I were so pleasantly surprised with this meal! Other than bakery treats, this was probably the best meal I had in Monterey. We went on a Saturday evening before a stand-up comedy show and they weren't very busy. We were quickly seated outside and our server was super friendly and attentive. I got the Turn 12 sandwich which was totally loaded with ingredients and came with some of the best truffle fries & aioli I've had in a while! My friend got the Rodeo Salad and kept raving about how good the steak was and how generous the portion was. There was no way we could have eaten more, but the table across from us ordered guacamole and it looked phenomenal. If I lived in this neighborhood, I'd be a regular for sure.

Chicken Parmesan and all the TVs at the bar are big pluses. Service could be a bit more attentive.

A fun place to hang out for just before the show. Our group came in for drinks and lite bites after pub crawling around town. It's a happening vibe with great atmosphere. There were a few servers helping us and it was a nice experience. We ordered up some flatbread pizzas and calamari.

Really clean restaurant bar and cool vibe. Perfect place to sit and watch a game. Lots of good screens. The bar service is great and the food is great.

Came here late after a work event!! Service was amazing as always. The vibe in point and the food spectacular! I was full but wanted to pick on something! These steamed clams the BESTTTTTT. If you're the portola area, please check it out! Thank me later xoxo

Very cool place in downtown Monterey. Wait staff was super nice but I recommend avoiding the bar if you want food. They took good care of us, but it did take a little longer for food than is ideal. I got the Corkscrew burger for dinner. It was excellent. The balsamic onion compote with the cheeses, arugula, and lemon aioli play off each other super well. It was almost refreshing, which I don't know if I would describe any other burger that way. The fries were also killer.

Our 1st time going here. It was awesome! The food was great! The service was even better. Highly recommend this place.

Came with a large group. They wouldn't split. Food marginal. Apparently the computer won't let them. The computer is management?

Do they have any NA beers?

Yes

When does the kitchen close?

Main kitchen closes at 10pm, and then they have a late night menu until 12pm

How often do they have live music?

They have never had live music when I've been there(and I've been there many times, mostly on the weekends)They have several TVs with every sport playing. I think they would fall into the sports bar category.

The new ownership is doing an awesome job of getting the locals' input and providing a variety of activities for everyone. From open mic and live music to themed nights like Y2K Night, Magic Hunks, and Burlesque, there's always something happening -- even if some events aren't totally my thing, I love that there's truly something for everyone. The bartenders I've met so far -- Chris, Dan, Andrew, Kyle, Kenzie, Hunter(i think there's two?), Scott and Arie -- know exactly how to keep the crowd happy and the party going. Huge shoutout to the manager, Frank (aka DJ Edison Tesla), and the bouncers for keeping the vibes high, the crowd contained, and always anticipating any trouble to keep everyone safe. Their dog-friendly patio with fire pits -- and the fact that they're open all day -- is perfect for bringing your pup, grabbing a drink, and hanging out! I'd spent the morning hiking around Pfeiffer Beach and arrived in Carmel in the early afternoon. I was looking for basic sustenance. On the menu it didn't appear fancy-- a basic grilled cheese sandwich with tomato bisque. The combination was delivered to my table hot and fresh. I waited for a few minutes so as to avoid burning my tongue. I observed the bread was crispy, and the cheese combination was nicely melted. The bisque had a nice aroma. The first bite of sandwich was perfection, and following it up with a spoonful of bisque was pure rapture. I was impressed by a humble grilled cheese sandwich because it was made to perfection.

Calamari was very lightly breaded and maybe it was timing but not as crisp of breading as I prefer. That said, it tasted good- I just prefer more crunch. The truffle fries were GREAT. Extra crispy, perfectly salted and seasoned w truffle. I shared the nicoise salad and roast beef sliders - the salad was good, the meat of the sliders was good and the crispy onions were a nice touch. The actual sliders were a tad dry. I think an au jus would've paired perfectly with this and resolved any dryness problem. My boyfriend got the Brophy's burger - extremely cheesy and loved the mushrooms. I'm not often in Carmel, but if I am and need a solid, casual bite, I will definitely be back!!

I was so thrilled to check this pub out especially with our doggie, Meatball the Bulldog! How perfect right? A Bulldog at The Bulldog Sports Pub. We snagged the last available booth, and it had crumbs on there. Not clean. SMH. I went to the bar to order some drinks for my boyfriend and me since he left his wallet in the car. It was raining that night, and we parked several blocks away. The service was okay. I remember the guy bartender said $29something, but then he charged me $30something. I got the Jalapeno Margarita while my boyfriend had the Tito's Mule. My drink was very sweet with a kick of jalapeno while his was pretty good. They had music playing. It seems that there is a modern jukebox where you can pay to pick a song. There was one pool table for people to play. So many people came up to pet Meatball and give him so much attention. He absolutely loved it! There was one guy who asked if he can say "Hi" to Meatball, and we said that it was okay like we normally do. This weirdo was basically making out with Meatball; not cool at all man. Then Meatball flipped on his back, and he was holding Meatball. My boyfriend told him to let go of Meatball. It was such an uncomfortable interaction. Not normal at all. He even said, "This is my NYE kiss!" SMDH. The guy sat down at a table that is across from us, and he kept looking at us. We quickly finished our drinks, and then we left to ring in the new year at our hotel lobby instead. We should have just hung out in our hotel lobby instead of going out; it was much better there.
