The food was great. It didn't take long to arrive. We went on a Sunday early evening and it was pretty quiet but toward the end of our dinner more people started to arrive. There are some options for food but it feels more like a place to get drink and a small bite to eat rather than actual dinner. The decor is beautiful and I love the black and red. I would definitely come again for drinks and a quick bite rather than for dinner. They offer different types of food and have a limited kids menu but I would say this is more for of age type of crowd due to it being more drink oriented and the drinks are tasty and super fun! read more

We had a girls' night here and felt welcomed from the beginning, especially by the older gentleman. He made sure we had a great place to sit, checked in on us throughout the night, and made sure we had a chance to request songs. The drinks and food were great. I had the 911 sushi roll. Ok. The food was mid. The quesabirra does NOT come with the liquid to dip in. They changed that I guess even though it was posted on Instagram two hours prior to us coming! I returned it. The Mexican sushi roll was different. Wouldn't order it again! The guacamole was fresh asf and the chicharron was light! I want to be CLEAR' ... the drinks are CUTE but... they are only 24% liquor. You will not get drunk. But they have beer and so if that's your thing then you'd be ok. For the ambiance I'd give it a 5 star. They had Mexicans singing live music which I liked! Get there 10 minutes after the call and there I paid some cash and the rest on my card to later check my statement are realized they over charged my card. Took my son and granddaughter to lunch today. The environment is pleasing and the mural is beautiful! Supposedly one of the owners took our order, who had a challenge figuring out how to use the hand held order taker, not a big deal. Ordered one of the infamous sushi selections, a nopal taco and beef flautas from the kid's menu. We were excited to eat there, since the videos on IG made all the food look delicious! It took a while to get our order, considering we were the first ones there, people started trickling in about 15 minutes after. When the flautas from the kid"s menu arrived, we discovered it had salsa verde on the tacos. Those were sent back and shortly after more flautas were made without hot sauce. My son's sushi order finally came about 10 minutes AFTER the rest of the order, which took longer than expected , to include the food that was sent back. When his order was finally brought to the table, it was the wrong order! So they took it back and luckily, not too long after, brought the correct order. At that time, we ordered a refill of horchata and gave some to my 4 1/2 year old granddaughter. She immediately spit it out and said it tasted weird, we just thought she was exaggerating. When my son took a drink, he also spit it out immediately because IT HAD ALCOHOL!!!! I could not believe it and took a sip myself to confirm because it was unimaginable. It sure did have alcohol and it was strong! I immediately notified the waitress and asked to speak with the owner. I was livid! I explained the situation, she just kept repeating how sorry she was. I was so beyond upset that I had given my granddaughter alcohol and the establishment had given my son alcohol.....he has been sober for 2 years! I don't believe she understood the seriousness of this situation. I asked for the check and had to wait 10 minutes to be charged! Obviously I left no tip and have no intention of returning. The food was okay, kind of pricey, but the service was definitely bad! read more

My wife and I stayed in Salinas for Valentines weekend and had dinner at La Gran Diabla on Sunday night. Our server was Mario and he was super chill and very attentive. Shoutout to Mario! The restaurant was lively but not too crowded, which we really like. There was music playing, cool neons lights, etc. very instagramable lol our food and drinks came out quickly and was very tasty! We ordered a passion fruit mojito and Bichota (vodka, pineapple, passion fruit, raspberry, and lime) both very delicious! Watch out for the booty cups they'll get you tipsy as long as they don't tip over first (they wobble) lol we shared chips (chips were thick, crunchy, and salty) and salsa verde (bright, fresh, and a little spicy). We shared the carne asada, which came with mash, a cheese quesadilla, fried cheese, and cactus! So much on the plate and reasonably priced.
