Pepperoni Pizza

A nice spot to come on a Friday! I don't see the venue being marketed but we heard live music and decided to check it out. James Dean is in the 201 Main spot and uses the large, gorgeous patio. Though it is a bar with TVs and high seats, the patio is the best part about this venue, with fire pits, and a fountain wall. We found out they have a happy hour from 4 to 7 pm. Woohoo! Small bites like Chips and Dip and Garlic fries plus $5 to $7 beer, wine and drinks, you can get out of the house without breaking the bank. We had a Rodeo burger (barbecue sauce and onion rings) and the Pepperoni Pizza with a cauliflower crust. Both were delicious! The burger is good enough to stand against other burger joints like Islands. The pizza crust is crispy. Cauliflower crust is going to take getting used to because the crust is the most important part of the pizza. But for a night out to hear live music without having to go all the way to Monterey, this is a great place to go. The menu is small but you don't come here for the food anyway. Service is friendly. Band was fun. I went to follow them on IG, and see that it IS being marketed. I just didn't know the name of the place. They have TVs inside with sports. I'd come back.

So, this little café/bar area is always changing names.... right now it's James Dean Sports Bar. Decor and atmosphere is 10/10 We decided to try this place out: -live dj was really good -friendly waitstaff, however waitress could have spent less time dancing around to the music and more time being a little more attentive to our table -decently priced menu, however we ordered Loaded Fries which were supposed to come with beans on top, and there were [literally] five beans on the fries . the fries themselves were good If it weren't for the bartender Albert, I would give 1-2 stars for our experience. Albert was very helpful, friendly and whipped up some awesome drinks for us while we were there...in my opinion, he and the dj are keeping this place alive.

The fried green beans are awesome. Stoked they had a cheese flat bread for the 5yo. Burgers were delicious. Nothing was super greasy it was very well balanced. Its not "bar food". Its a legit restaurant. I had the street tacos which were flavorful and I preferred the carne asada for once because its all meat no fat. Lots of chicken wing flavor options too so my girls were happy. Calisqueeze on tap topped my meal! The only down was that the restrooms were more local bar vibe restrooms but it is what it is. Its a local bar too! Thanks for a great meal on our road trip.

We were very impressed as 15 years ago the downtown was not a place to visit. Now it is. We like these "neighborhood" kind of restaurants/bars. Like the French Brassiere concept, but not as fancy, Dubber's is a place to sit, drink, chat with friends, get a bite to eat and pay a reasonable price for the occasion. Decent menu. We were driving so no booze. Old Town Burger ($15) with onion rings for $2. Wife did fried green beans (!) at $12 and we had iced tea and sodas at $3.75 each. Lots of photos and memorabilia on the walls and there were a lot of sports items, so owners must be into some teams. Very clean. Friendly wait staff, we had Karen K., and service was prompt and food accurate. An excellent stopping point if driving through the Salinas, the Garden Bowl of the Country. Only an hour south of San Fransisco.

And it was so loud with everyone screaming for their teams. But we stayed because we wanted to have some dinner. I got the fish and chip's which was pretty good. They don't serve any type of Pilsners here so I got 3 samples of beer on tap to try and went with a Kona Hawaiian one it was good. My friend got the white caprese pizza and he said it was delicious and he never uses that word lol. The service was good considering how busy they were. We look forward to coming back on a non football day for Happy Hour.

The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we got there. The food came out really fast and exactly how we ordered it. We had the Sweet Heat Honey BBQ Bacon Burger, onion rings, and the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza--everything was delicious. The burger had a great sweet-and-spicy combination, and the hot honey on the pizza was a perfect touch. We washed it all down with a non-alcoholic Guinness and a hazy IPA (can't remember the name, but it was great!). Great atmosphere, friendly service, quick food, and everything tasted awesome. Definitely a spot we'd come back to!

It's oriented for sports fans, date night, and…read morejust group dining I would think, but I think families can go there, but I recommend wanting to watch sports is a must. Menu it appears they're willing to change by trend. We all had burgers, but we double burgers or split burgers. Soda is refilled, except handcrafted sodas. In the future; might want to research seasonal coleslaw or broccoli-slaw for change up of side menu salads. Other: fried or steamed vegs as possible finger food. Portion side, it was expected. Shio liked the bacon melt leftover. I found out what was missing alfalfa sprouts made taste elevated. Not sure if they would add pan fry egg as optional item. Server was good, he explained things better, and ambiance wasn't too noisy to hear him. Server did say you can seating arrangement is up to customers. Noon time on Saturday seems like less busy, my brother was telling us, hard to get in, reserve spot, and appears like that way only if there was a live game it said so in commercials. Packed to where ppl were waiting in line get in. They do work hard making place clean. Thank you for the good food it was yummy. Edited at desktop, mobile doesn't allow much for spellcheck. Note: 1-star rating ppl might have gone when it was live game. Suggestion go when it's lunch or game days are re-played. Patience is a virtue, try to eat more when you go out. There is ton of food on menu besides the wings.
