My family and I recently visited Buffalo Wild Wings in Salinas, and unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience. We ordered food from the restaurant for our family, but my daughter had brought her own meal because she doesn't eat the type of food they serve. While we were patiently waiting for our order, the manager approached my daughter and told her that she needed to throw her food away or finish it as quickly as possible. We understand that restaurants may have policies regarding outside food, and we respect that. However, the way the manager spoke to my daughter was extremely rude, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. There was no kindness or courtesy in the way the situation was handled. Good customer service is not only about following policies but also about treating customers with respect. It's no wonder this location has a 2 star rating. This all falls on the General Manager of this location. A perfect example of the, tail wagging the dog, and not the dog wagging the tail. We did happen to notice that the 2 of the other groups got their drinks AAAAND FOOD, before we got ours. Now to be transparent we had a group of 5. The other 2 groups had 4 and 3 people. Sooooo we finally got our food. Not sure what happened in the kitchen and prep area for the food, however everyone in our group got sick from our stomach and well you can guess what 2 rooms in our home were occupied for most of the night. I'm sure that the day shift runs smoother than the night shift since the General Manager works that shift. However the evening Managers have ZERO control of the floor. 2 stars as a whole is horrible for any restaurant. We are locals and live in the city. She served with a positive attitude and a great smile and did ask us a few times if we needed anything which is greatly appreciated. First we walked in to pickup our order that we placed online to not get acknowledged for almost 15 mins because the girl was to busy on the phone messing up someone's order from what I heard. The worse part was when a supervisor came over to help her and didn't acknowledge our presence neither. Then to have a manager do the same made us feel like ghost. It really looks like the price for that is 5.99 based on the advertisement on every table. But when we checked out, it turns out to be 13.79. only the classical burger is 5.99. Customer service is not the best quality but today was the worst experience I've ever had anywhere walk-in to get my order the girl was on the phone she gets off the phone doesn't acknowledge our presence, Manager comes over doesn't acknowledge our presence three more employees come over don't acknowledge our presence. More people are showing up to pick up their food and not once did any of them pick up their head to say will be with you in a second, then 20 minutes later comes another employee and calls out our name for our order to get picked up. First, they don't have enough servers. Second, I ordered a glass of wine (don't ask me why) and it came in a dirty glass, warm and tasted like the bottle had been open for a few days. I sent it back and ordered a different drink. When my food arrived my wings were lukewarm and my salad was gross. The only good thing I ate that was any good was the carrot and celery sticks. It wasn't very busy so there is obviously a lack of training and presentation which a a reflection of management. I like coming here to watch sports and dine in once in a while but the last few times I've had the worse experiences. Servers take forever to bring the drinks and food, and don't follow up with their tables. I don't know if the kitchen is understaffed but every time I get wings they look mediocre drops of sauce on them not even sauced and fries are cold, just disgusting at that point. The manager Leyla just sits on her phone and has an attitude every time I come treats her employees like garbage. I watched her yell at a worker who made a mistake didn't bother to lead and find a solution, as someone who works as a business manager my top priority would be leading my team but it seems like she doesn't have expectations for her crew since they have poor customer service skills, poor communication, no priority over their customers or the food whatsoever. Great environment but man the customer service lacks even the bare minimum. If you plan to come here don't, you're better off hitting Wingstop to get your money's worth, and have an overall better experience. As for the franchise I recommend training your staff, and have a better management team so the crew can be more efficient, give them the right resources to succeed within your company it's a disgrace to see such a good company disregard their business and employees in a horrible way.
