Fun environment with plenty of beer options. Friendly and swift staff and they always made sure my cup is never empty. We've been here a few times now and I have to say every single time we enjoy our appetizers. Brussel sprouts are divine, we love the loaded tots, cheese curds, the mac n cheese bites.. THEYRE ALL SO TASTY! On the flip side, we've tried the burgers and salads and fish n chips, and wings and honestly they aren't the best..maybe we haven't tried the right thing yet. The worst ribeye steak I've ever had. Poor quality meat. No seasoning. Bland! The garlic fries served with it on my steak frites were limp and extremely greasy. I sat at the bar and ordered an old fashioned. The bartender disappeared and came back 10 minutes later with my drink. The king cube had half melted. It was very heavy on the bitters and light on whisky. Nice ambience. Great place to catch a game. If only the food and drinks were better made. Sigh!! read more

Want to like this place, they have everything going for them. Cool environment , menu seems ok. Service was good, we were attended to quickly, however the kitchen is extremely slow. Ordered immediately for the kids and it took 55 minutes for food to come out (one order of fish and chips, which is actually fish and tater tots, but that's not what the menu says). I ordered my meal within 5 minutes of the kids and as I was trying get the check 65 minutes in, the food came out (cold and not as described, I had a scramble, which didn't have country potatoes, but tater tots, the other scramble in the menu specifically said tater tots, so I was actually expecting country potatoes). I had to ask for a box which took 10 minutes. Ended up throwing away the food, cold eggs and tater tots aren't that appealing cold. $65 if the meal had been served on time and warm, I would have been ok with. Tossing a meal and paying that felt like a complete rip off. Also the table behind me had to get the waiter's attention because there was a dead bug in her meal. They severed her quickly after, but she was there (with kids) for much longer than us and we left before her family. This seems like a place to have a beer, not a family meal. read more

I've had to go here twice for work events. It'll be the last time work events are held here. It takes a while to get food and they don't come out at the same time. But the biggest issues is they put it all on one checks rather than the individual and then charged the unit 80 dollars in a tip for slow service and an unwillingness to work with the unit on payment. Down side was no tartar sauce, which for me is a must for this dish. The coleslaw was yummy and actually combining that with the fish was really good. I can on MLK Day. It is pretty light crowd for a 2:30 pm. It's starting to pick up 3:30 pm, so it's time to leave. I am sitting at the bar and there is 1.5 bartenders. The bartender seem to be short staffed, not her fault. Buying waiting for a bill for over 20 minutes is not acceptable. Beer and food selection was on a QR code so hopefully bring a "smarter phone" I ordered one beer Tioga-Sierra Red Beer. It was good. They also have a small wine list and a full bar. Not sure how cocktails are charged since they have a lot of specialty drinks on their menu. Assuming I come back. I'll try the food but service needs some improvement. I deleted the Brass Tap App because it was buggy and didn't really help me. The venue is nice and spacious and the outdoor patio looks inviting. Maybe an office party or birthday party on the patio. Love this place. I come a few times a week as my son practices. Wait service regulars are wonderful. That said, a lot of turn over recently so can't speak on them all. The ones who are still here are wonderful. The owner is a friendly and realizes who the regs are. He seems to always be lookin to improve so give it another try till he gets it right. Drinks are great, food is above average for gastropub food. I recommend the Poblano chicken tacos (flour only tortilla), the loaded tots and Cheese curds. Recently tried this spot out for the first time and we were so glad we did. We went on a Tuesday which turned out to be trivia night. We were able to join in for a few rounds and it ended up being so fun! We were immediately seated and assisted by the waitress. We tried their chicken tenders and all American pub burger. Karl was great to work with leading up to the event - our numbers changed slightly and we were able to pivot and still have a nice space for our group of 60! Amazing location in the dunes promenade. I may be bias because I live in the community but I think this is as amazing addition to the growing neighborhood. The first time I visited brass tap was for their grand opening and we ordered some beers and a pizza and I just visited on Veterans Day where they had a free burger for vets which is super appreciated being a veteran myself. Prices are fair, service is quick, and the location is amazing. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and although the parking lot itself for brass tap is on the smaller side there is nearby parking given its location in a shopping center. read more

The food wasn't good. I had a steak salad. The meat looked and tasted days old. My daughter had pizza. It was cold. I hate cold pizza! And my husband had the chicken wrap. We waited awhile before asking where it was. The server(one of four) checked on it and told us that she had the cooks build another one as the original had been sitting too long. I got a beer that was tasty and for dinner I ordered the grilled poblano chicken tacos with chips. The tacos were very good but the chips a bit stale. Terrible service. Came today on a saturday employees are understaffed per waittess. They are very unorganized every food that came out waiter came from table to table asking if the food was ours. Until he found the correct table. Waiters/no one came to take our order we had to wave a waiter to be attended after waiting for a while and to check on refills. waved a waittresss next to our table and instead of acknowledging she kept talking with the customer and ignored us and went on to her business though she saw us. This is my second time first experience was amazing but it seems like when its super busy they are not well coordinated. Either they are just not interested in working or need alittle more training. Visited on a Friday early evening and the place was busy, but not packed. Was ignored at the front entrance, so our group of four made our way to the patio. On the way we asked a couple of employees about seating and was told the patio is self serve. After getting a table I went up to the service bar to order. Chaos best describes the activity behind the bar. After waiting about 10-15 minutes, a service person asked me what I wanted. Ordered three drinks, paid and waited another 10 minutes to get two of the three drinks. Service person claimed she didn't hear the third drink, which was a diet coke, so paid again and waited. Fortunately, we didn't plan on ordering food, because I would hate to find out how long that would take. The only reason for not giving one star is that I like the concept and the patio vibe, plus being new there is always a learning curve for staff, so hopefully the service will improve. read more

To be honest, I don't get the hype around The Brass Tap. I get that it might be exciting for Marina to have a spot like this, but at the end of the day, it feels like just another poorly run chain restaurant. What really stood out was the lack of attentiveness. It was a pretty slow evening that day and us along with another small family were the only ones seated in the back patio area. Anyways, when we finally got our food, no one checked in on us while we waited. No drink refills, no "how's everything?"-- nothing. My partner finished his drink before the food came and would've liked another but it just didn't happen. Once we were done, my partner had to go inside just to grab the check and a to-go box-- that shows how much we were checked on, or lack there of. My partner was so disappointed with the service that he didn't leave a tip--which is very unlike him. We try to be understanding, especially with busy restaurants, but that just wasn't the case here. All in all, it wasn't a great experience. Not sure if we'll be back anytime soon. read more
