YUM! We all got something different and loves them all! We each were unable to finish our meal for lunch and ate it at dinner! The pasta was fresh tasting and we each had the build your own. The blackened chicken (Michangelo) was so good too! It was quick and the staff weee very friendly.

We decided to order a couple of bowls & we tried the shrimp & rice & the chicken & rice, both bowls were yummy, lots of chicken & shrimp, very flavorful, ordered some garlic cheese bread & garlic bread, when i walked in to pick up lunch it smelled so wonderful inside, the employee that helped me was very nice & polite

Happy hour take out. Spaghetti and netballs. Plenty for lunch the next few days.

Sadly the happy hour special stopped being offered likely during or after COVID and I really miss that deal. The food is still good though.

Have had this place on my radar for a while, but I rarely get to Salinas. Was driving through and decided to stop since my kids would be tremendously excited about the concept of a build-your-own pasta place. Get there and find that all orders are technically to-go, and that the only seating is two picnic tables outside. Well, that's okay because the weather is nice. If the weather had not been nice, we wouldn't have been able to go. Food is pretty good. Came out very hot, and the portions are large. Spicy Italian sausage wasn't spicy at all, but packets of red pepper flakes (and Parmesan cheese) are offered at the counter when picking food up. That helped. Would go back when circumstances allow.

Fettuccine pasta Alfredo with broccoli and chicken

Food was super good but the shrimp is better in opinion! Service was good and not much waiting, ambiance was great no place to it though!

I think that is the one drawback of this place. The restaurant itself is very nice inside. Well decorated with a nice bar. There is a very nice patio area but given weather it was not open. I'm sure it is when weather permits. For happy hour the apps are about 40% off specialty drink specials are $10 cocktails and I believe 5 draft and wine. I got the smoked old fashioned and it did not disappoint. Wife got the Chardonnay and was happy with it. We started with garlic bread and it was pretty good. We then went with the wings. These wings were so good we ordered a second plate as did our friends. Some of the best wings I've had in a long time. For mains we got the gnocchi and friends got the pizza. Everyone was very happy with there dishes. It was a solid meal. The gnocchi is I believe $11 for happy hour and pizza I think is $10. Great deal for what you get. All in all a really good meal in a nice restaurant. Only downside is parking.

He was patient and knew the menu, and offered options when he saw our reactions as we tried to decide. The chef even walked out and offered to make the bolognese from scratch and omit the mushrooms. From start to finish the whole Mangia team was great, and it made me happy to see how they treated one another. The dishwasher came up a few times to swap the trays and everyone got along, and I noticed the chef made them each something to eat as the restaurant was closing. As for the food, good Salinas option. The Nonna appetizer was a bruschetta with pistacho, fresh ricotta, and honey. Delicious. Beet salad was good, hearty beets, mixed greens, and balsamic. It was over dressed for my taste, but hubby loved it. I wasn't a huge fan the cheese they used, it was a harder salty cheese in small cubes. I got the penne with a really subtle lemon cream sauce, grilled chicken, and broccoli. Came out hot and it was a generous portion, waiter offered some fresh cheese so took that of course. I'd order it again, but don't think it was the best pasta dish I have ever had. Chicken Parmesan was cooked fresh, and came with the penne and marina. In my opinion the marina was under seasoned, but I'm generally heavy on the garlic and basil. I don't know I'd label it as a culinary hot spot, but the food was good, and made by good people. I appreciate the atmosphere and we will definitely be back.

My boss and coworkers have been raving about this place for the longest time, and I finally decided to come check it out for myself during lunch. Safe to say, I completely understand the hype now and I don't regret it one bit! I ordered the fries with steak bites and they were absolutely delicious. Now here's the thing , I am not a dessert person. I almost never order dessert anywhere I go, but something told me to give the brownie a try, and wow, I am so glad I did. Finger licking good doesn't even begin to cover it. That alone is worth the trip! But what really made the experience stand out was my server, Jasmine A . She was a solid 10 out of 10 incredibly friendly, attentive, and just an overall joy to be served by. I am someone who takes customer service very seriously, and Jasmine is exactly the kind of energy every restaurant needs more of. She genuinely made the whole experience even better. If you're reading this and on the fence about coming don't hesitate. The food is amazing, the service is top tier, and it is absolutely worth every single penny. This won't be my last visit, that's for sure!

Gusto is one of the few truly scratch-made Italian restaurants that specializes not only in pizza, pasta, and sauces, but also features an old-school brick, wood-fired pizza oven. Hell, they even make their own mozzarella! They have not only caught the eye of locals and Yelpers, but have also managed to earn a recommendation in the current Michelin Guide. The Good: * Private parking lot, as well as street parking. * Fabulous service from Alex! * Prices are very reasonable considering the food quality. * Local beers on tap. * Strawberry Prosciutto Salad (seasonal special) was fantastic! Who knew strawberries paired so perfectly with salty, cured prosciutto and pistachios? This might not be on the menu all the time, but if you see it, get it! * Complimentary focaccia was unbelievably soft and delicious. As if it couldn't get any better, their olive tapenade served alongside it was equally delicious, making for an unbeatable duo. * The Margherita pizza is the ultimate test of a pizza restaurant--and they passed with flying colors! It's so simple that if something isn't right, it'll be easy to spot, but everything from the homemade mozz to the slightly charred crust and the delicious sauce made this the perfect pie. I give it a score of 3.14159265359...! The Meh: * Meatballs were a touch too tough and could've been a bit more tender. They were still fuçking delicious, so honestly, who cares? The Ugly: * Despite the name, Seaside isn't the most glorious place, and this location is downright sus AF. Conclusion: Maybe one of the best meals so far of 2026. If you have any doubts about coming here, relieve yourself of them and get down here posthaste.

We ordered avocado toast, French toast, banana pecan pancake, house potatoes, and an Aperol spritzer. My avocado toast was served on a single very thick piece of bread, which had a very generous amount of avocado smash and was topped off with this delightful and fresh arugula salad. I added an over easy egg for an extra charge that was the perfect balance. The house salad was simple with butter lettuce, cherry tomatoes, radish, cucumber, with a light lemon house dressing that brought the salad together. It was refreshing. The French toast is pretty standard. Nothing that particularly stood out. The banana pecan pancake was delicious and shared with everyone at the table. The house potatoes were extra crispy on the outside but soft on the inside, which I found particularly satisfying.
