I moved to Soledad 13+ years ago and one of the first places to eat once I moved here was Gabilan pizza. Their medium pepp pizza is only 12.99 and there lumpia's and pancit are a MUST. I've been ordering from Gabilan Pizza for yrs and today Saturday January 22 . I called in an order for delivery @ 5:30 the clerk said it would take 40 minutes. Not a very happy customer at this moment 1 hr 1/2 later no food . The pizza is amazing, unfortunately the service is absolutely terrible. That last 2 delivery orders I placed were quoted for 40 minutes and arrived well over an hour later and was cold. So this the I call and place an order for pickup they tell me 15 minutes. I get to the store between 10-15 minutes. Upon arrival I have to verify my name and order 4 separate times before finally having to wait 30 minutes in the store to get my 1 medium pepperoni pizza. I don't know what's happening to this place. They used to be really good. Not anymore! Whoever boxed up my food for delivery didn't care how burnt the food was. So when my husband called the gabilan pizza i told him to order a large pepperoni pizza and 6 spicy buffalo wings but my husband talks spanish so he told them in spanish. When he called the first lady, he talked to her in spanish and she said she couldn't "understand" because she only talked english so i knew something was fishy. First time here tonight, 9.6.18 Great stuff! I split a calzone and buffalo wings with my wife. Calzone could have fed 3! Crust had a good crisp on the outside and the rest still fluffy. yikes! Just yikes I placed my order at 12:45pm and was told it would be 20 minutes. That was perfect because I had to finish something at work. I ordered hamburger and fries, no mustard or mayo on the burger and a side salad with no bell peppers, no cheese and a side of ranch. She read the order back correctly. I arrived at 1:00pm. An older rude gentleman charged me and told me it'll be ready soon. Around 1:20 I got tired of waiting so I asked the young lady about my order. The Hispanic woman in the kitchen overheard and said she was waiting on the fries. Fries take over 30 minutes to cook??? They weren't even busy. When I finally got my food the young girl handed me my order and I politely asked for ketchup and ranch. She was trying to charge me extra for the ranch. I Asked I thought it came with ranch. She said yes it does. my lunch hour at this point was almost over so I left. The burger had a sad amount of lettuce that was bitter and extra mustard and that's it. The side salad had extra bell peppers red and green and extra onions. SMH. This place is tiny and the only a few tables. It's hot and it's very cluttered. I called my husband called and literally after 14 try's I get through to someone who refused to provide their name and oh I'm sorry the pizza is on it way. They have an okay price on the medium pizza but that just went up recently to $7.99, each pizza includes 2 peppers and 2 cheese packets with every pizza but if you want more of any it's 10 cents each, seriously? But what really upset me my last visit was the ranch, they always charge for it 50 cents each, which is fine since the ranch is usually really good. But this last visit, one of the ranches had something in it, and the other one looked like it was growing mold. The prices are very fair, and they have a huge variety of pizzas. My favorite so far is the medium pepperoni. It's only $6.95 after tax. That gives little Casers a run for its money, and the pizza taste 10x better. It usually only takes about 15 minutes for your pizza to be done! For our little sleepy town, this makes pizza awesome.
