We came in later in the evening, and luckily, were the only people in the restaurant, but the staff was still really attentive, professional, and weren't on their phone or goofing off. We got a to go order of the tuscan garlic pizza and garlic sticks with cheese. The pizza was delicious. I mean really good. Good enough to go back. The sticks also were good but that a normal pizza place thing. The crust on the pizza was solid and not gelatinous but was bready all the way through. The wait time was standard for any other place that you would order from at dinner. They did only have one person up front and they were doing a lot but it worked out. The time we waited after arrival to placing the order wasn't long. They have a little game room towards the back. Most of them only take quarters and not dollars. Overall impressed and happy with it. Really happy with my visit here today! Placed a mobile order and while the food was a few minutes later than expected - it was fresh out of the oven and delicious! I did not realize it until later, but the night that I ordered pizza was a super busy pizza ordering night. It was the night of the oscars and a Sunday and time change, so trifecta of people not wanting to cook and order puzza instead. They took my order and within 1 hour had my pizza and soda at my doorstep. My wife signed for the delivery and the delivery person peft. I opened the Pizza and it was the wrong one. I had ordered a Mt. Veggie More pizza and they delivered one with meat on it. I checked the receipt sure enough the person on the phone took my order wrong and put in for a Mt. Everest pizza. Not the biggest mistake but for $40 for a medium pizza and 2 liter I deserved the correct pizza. So i called in and explained what had happened. I could tell they were super busy because i was put on hold both times calling in. The guy was understanding and said they would send the correct pizza out. "I'll send the Everest right over, vegie more the veggiemore ill send over." This slip of the toungue and rushed acknowledgement did not inspire confidence. But they brought the correct puzza the second time and it was within 30 minutes that time so I was happy. Sucks for the mistake but i only order veggiemore or half veggiemore and half chicken. My wife is a vegetarian and I don't eat Pork. So i just wanted to say thank you for making it right and not making a big deal out of it. I appreciate the customer service. On Tuesday October 1, 2024 I called at 4:30 and ordered a pizza for delivery order #144 I was told it would be delivered in 45 minutes to one hour. At 6:05 I tried to call and check on it and was on hold for 23 6:35 so I called back on my cell and finally got an answer I asked about my delivery and was put on hold again at my wife opened the front door and found a cold pizza sitting on the porch! At 6:40 we gave up and hung up. It is first of all totally unacceptable to drop a pizza on the porch and not even ring the door bell I have never had that happen with any pizza delivery in the past. Secondly it is also totally unacceptable to leave a customer on hold for that long. We ate the cold pizza and it was OK warmed up in the microwave but by then I had lost my appetite. I have no idea how long it had been on the porch it may have been there withing the hour I was quoted but we will never know. I hope the do something about customer phone service and get a new delivery driver. A terrible pizza experience to say the least. read more

Cold pizza 2 miles away. Paid $6 for delivery for 2 miles. Used door dash due to no delivery driver . Can't keep pizza warm. Their solution after waiting an hour is to bring pizza in and pick up another. I have ordered from and supported this company for years, but recently everything is burnt to a crisp. My pizza tonight didn't even rise, it was the thinnest I've ever had from them. When calling to politely advise the manager I was told it's due to the size of the pizza, but I've never had that issue before. Also the wings were small and over cooked with little to no sauce. All very disappointing. I didn't say anything the first few times because I realize things happen, but this is not good for business on the 5th time it happens. Hadn't been here for many years. Recently, I walked in to Mountain Mike's Pizza in Marina for takeout orders. It's had some renovations/updates that look great! It looks so much cleaner and brighter now. Customers can partially see into the tidy kitchen, which I can appreciate. I ordered several personal pizzas that the cashier was glad to accommodate and customize my orders. The people making my pizzas looked like they may be the owners. When I opened my pizza boxes, it sure looked like they took pride in the pizzas they sold me! I ordered another time and a different person made them. The pizzas were not as wonderful as the first ones, but still good. Next time I see anyone else besides the older lady and gentlemen in the kitchen, I will specify my desired topping quantity to make sure it is perfect how we want. The chicken wings are good, too. The customer service is friendly and helpful no matter who is at the register or answering the phone. Also, when ordering for delivery, a small fee is added in the total. We tipped the respectful and pleasant driver additional. The young man immediately informed we overpaid & that delivery fee is in the total. My husband said we know & that's extra tip for him. Delivery driver appeared genuinely shocked, not entitled, and thanked us. Nice restaurant, good food, good service, good prices, so I recommend you try it. read more

We come to this location all the time but have started visiting less frequently do to repetitive issues. They do sometimes burn food and to continue to send that out to your customers who support your business is just not okay. We just decided to try the new knots and they are way over cooked. But they were hour late and forgot my boneless chicken wings that's $8.99. What a pleasant surprise. I had never been to Mountain Mike's Pizza before. We were visiting our son in Northern California, and we took our grandson and his friend to MM's for pizza. I was really impressed by the crust. It was light and crispy and quite delicious. They really piled on the mushrooms, which is the way I like it. The kids got their own individual sized pizzas and devoured them. My grandson had pepperoni and pineapple on his. I would have never thought of combining the two, but he alleges it was delicious. His friend had just cheese and loved it. They were getting ready to close but they let us eat it there. That was very nice of them. Great staff. I'm not aware of any in our area, but I see them often while traveling. I will definitely try them again. read more

Was visiting Monterey so stopped by here to pick pizza. I ordered a pizza and boneless wings. I was waiting right there and saw the guy in ponytail pick up the box of wings where all customers food ready / pizza boxes were kept, walk to employees room and took a piece from it and ate. I was watching right over when he kept the box back after wiping his fingers on it. When I took my order, I threw away my chicken wings box. Also, I had ordered garlic bread and saw that they gave cheesy garlic bread. I asked and they said that's the only way they make it. I have been ordering pizza from this Mountain Mikes for years. I have had nothing but poor quality and order mistake with about the last half dozen orders I've placed. Tonight I arrived to pick up my pizza and the gentleman at the counter was obviously taking a complaint from a customer on the phone. Another gentleman from the kitchen asked me if I was picking up and found that my order was wrong. The other kitchen help were outside in the back smoking cigarettes and had to be called back in to make the correct pizza for my order. This has happened several times, always missing the toppings I order. While I wait for my pizza to be remade, my first pizza is soggy and cold by the time I get home. I'm not going to spend money here again. I went to get it and made it home before the Purge started. While driving and eating I noticed my wings were a lil soft, slightly undercooked. But, I have not only an oven but an airfryer at home. I put the wings in the airfryer and went for the pizza. I noticed the large onions right away and after peeling them off I decided to place the pizza in the oven with the wings. EVERY delivery order I've ever placed at this mountain mikes has ALWAYS been late. This includes orders prior to Covid. The orders have been late anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour. Ive worked in customer service and I think the courteous thing to do would be to call your customers to let them know their order is running late but I've always had to call to ask when I can expect my delivery. The pizza always turns out great but the fact that they are consistently always late is enough for me to never order from this place again. On Friday April 3, at 6:44PM I placed an order for a large pepperoni pizza. The pizza did not arrive until 8:35. It was cold, the oil dried down onto the box, and the pizza looked as if I left it out on the counter overnight. I understand orders may be in demand as take out and delivery are the only options right now, but the taste and look of that pizza does not excuse that. I literally live 9 minutes from this location! Was told approximately 30minutes. 35minutes later 1st attempt to ask about our order the employee by name of Jonathan said he didn't know where the order was (this inquiry was made by my wife) then I asked and he said they were just making them and would be another 20minutes. I Responded why almost an hour( mind you when i asked they were just making them) he replied rudely by saying he could void the transaction. I replied I would but what about the 35minutes I already waited. He then Replied, again with no cern, that he didn't care about my time so if I wanted my money back. The only reason I waited the additional 20minutes for my pizzas was because I had a commitment to bring pizzas. However was extremely dissatisfied with the response of the employee and his manager.
