A pizza that is burnt
Carla K.

Hopefully the next one comes out better karma if they spit in it. Impressed with garlic cheese sticks and wish this place the make it more family friendly otherwise pizza factory off Broadway

The time when they expose to close

The worst experiences I've had at Mountain Mike's Pizza. We came in around 9:00 PM to celebrate my dad's birthday, expecting to sit down and eat since the store clearly states it closes at 10:00 PM. Nobody said anything when we walked in. We ordered over $100 worth of pizza, and only AFTER we paid did they tell us we couldn't dine in. That's completely unacceptable. If you don't allow dine-in after a certain time, say it upfront before taking people's money. When we explained we were only planning to eat quickly (20-30 minutes), they refused and even threatened to call the police on us. This made the situation extremely uncomfortable, especially for our kids. One of my children got scared and couldn't even eat, thinking the police were going to come and take her. That's not something any family should have to deal with over a pizza dinner. On top of that, they shut off the soda machine, turned off the games, and locked the bathroom--basically trying to force us out after taking our money. This is not how you treat paying customers, especially families trying to celebrate something important. Very unprofessional, disrespectful, and misleading. I will not be coming back.

Great pizza, definitely one of the best in town. We love pineapple and Canadian bacon pizza and their's is so good! My daughter loves the acade games and vending machines there. Only downside is its expensive, but u get what u pay for. Lol

I'm not sure why all of the bad reviews. My first time ordering from a Mountain Mikes up here. Ordered for pick up, it was done at the quoted time. The employee was courteous, and the pizza was fantastic!

The crust is raw, after you take the topping falls off. Thought it was cheese. Nope raw dough.

We split the steak, carrots, and fingerling potatoes with an amazing sauce! There was enough for us to split it into two. The wine was amazing from local wineries, the waitress was sweet and friendly and had grear service. Everyone was dressed super nice & when we asked for recommendations of wine with our dinner, they had a great pairing. We wish we could've checked outside, but there was a wedding going on. We will definitely be back to check out the outside area and I definitely recommend!!

So if you like those Raiders of the Lost Ark vibes, then you would like sitting next to the mine for sure. It's roped off but you can hear the water dripping and it is naturally cool. The structure was originally built as a hotel in 1853 and has been well preserved. I ordered their Smith Flat House salad ($10) and the Jambalaya Risotto ($34) which consisted of Cajun-marinated prawns, lobster meat, Andouille sausage, grilled sweet corn with saffron chicken risotto. Definitely had a bit of a kick to it, the risotto was done well. My pet peeve is mushy risotto, it needs to have a slight bite to it which this one had thankfully. Love the fact that this place serves up local wines -- I couldn't recall the wine I had and they do not have their wine menu on their website. If you have the opportunity to visit, I'd recommend a glass of red from Starfield (winery up the road).

While enjoying a meal with friends, I ordered a full iced margarita, only for the bottom of the glass to suddenly detach and spill its full sticky contents all over me and side seated companions. Not only did this ruin our shoes, leave us wet and sticky but it startled all of us and completely disrupted our meal. When I brought this to the attention of the management, I was met with a dismissive attitude. They simply shrugged it off, saying, "this happens," and refused to offer any form of compensation or even an apology. They mentioned that they had witnessed similar incidents with two other glasses, suggesting that the issue might be tied to the glasses coming out hot from the dishwasher and then being placed directly on ice. Instead of addressing my concerns seriously, the staff made light of the situation, which felt incredibly rude and unprofessional. It was disappointing to see such a lack of care for customer experience. I expected better from a restaurant and found it rather disturbing that even the waitress was afraid to bring it up to the owner telling us that he was extremely scary and would likely fire her for this if he was disrupted from making pizzas in the back. Furthermore, a few of my friends at the table also heard that the owner is really unprofessional and rude. It's unlikely any of us are I'll tell you in a will return, and I would advise others to exercise caution when ordering drinks here. A simple acknowledgment and willingness to rectify the situation could have made a significant difference in our experience. It's a shame that a fun night out was overshadowed by such poor management. Go elsewhere.

A Local Gem That Never Misses!…read more This review is long overdue. From the first bite, I knew I had to tell everyone about how epic Gold Pan Pizza is. Seriously, this is the best pizza in Shingle Springs--well, in El Dorado County actually. Every bite delivers that perfect blend of gooey cheese, bold flavor, and just the right crispy edge. It's the kind of pizza that makes you slow down, savor every second, and regret that you didn't order a larger size. Each time I get food here, I have to stop in my tracks and go into a deep place of reflection and gratitude for being alive in this moment to enjoy the epicness I'm savoring. It's so good I don't want to share. The crust is crisp with just the right amount of cheese and toppings. The flavors are balanced, fresh, and satisfying. My go to, hands down, is the White Rock. I keep telling myself I'll switch up the rotation and try something different, but I can't, White Rock has stolen my heart. Don't even get me started on the garlic twist cheesy bread. It's crisp on the outside and melty on the inside with the perfect amount of garlic. DIVINE!!! Huge shoutout to Ivan, whose skill and dedication come through in every bite. This is food made with real care and craftsmanship. Support this incredible local family business. They truly deserve it!!

It's a small place tucked into a shopping center, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was fantastic--crispy, thin-crust pizza, hot and non-greasy wings, and a fresh, flavorful salad. My family and I enjoyed it so much that we've officially added it to our list of must-stop places for future road trips. The owner was also very attentive and provided excellent customer service. Five stars all the way!

Parking was a headache. Especially factoring in our visit happening on Labor Day weekend, there was a ton of foot traffic. Designated parking spots were all filled and the parking garage further down was just as packed. It took many attempts before we were able to locate someone leaving the premises. The check in and wait for a table was just as bad in the eatery. I used the time to look over the menu. Here you will find classic American comfort foods and fancier items with an elevated twist. There is essentially something for everyone. Lunch for our party: *BALSAMIC BRUSSELS SPROUTS *MIXED GREENS SALAD WITH BLACKENED SALMON *GRILLED LAMB CHOPS *KID'S CHICKEN TENDERS WITH VEGGIES Food was pretty good. The lamb chops were exceptional and although the blackened salmon didn't taste or look so delicious, I appreciated it not being overcooked. The chicken tenders were a nice golden brown and was not over battered and the medley of fresh veggies were really good. The balsamic brussels were good in size but the flavoring wasn't the best. All in all, the food was enjoyed. The one mishap that stood out was with Tessa H. forgetting my toddler's drink. We were half way through our meal when I realized nothing had been brought out to us even after the drink order had been taken. We flagged her down and let her know but ended up having to remind her 2 additional times before receiving the drink. At that point, the meal was already over. 4 stars overall but 1 star deducted because of the soda situation.
