Went for Weekday Lunch Special Food - 5/5. Every pizza had fantastic dough with a nice chew. Thinness was just right with good ratio of sauce and cheese. There was great variety in their lunch buffet but my favorite was the plain pepperoni and the cheese garlic sticks. Pepperoni is browned just right where the edges are crispy while the center still has the umami meat texture. While multiple toppings are enjoyable, the simplicity of good pepperoni on pizza is one of their best menu items. Their garlic sticks were good in a similar way except replacing the pepperoni with aromatic garlic. Salad bar had a good selection with plenty of options to take a break between your pizza. Service - 5/5. Staff is very friendly and always full of enthusiasm when they speak. Despite being a buffet, they offered to make us any pizza from the menu if we requested it leading to even more variety and fresh products. Value - 5/5. The buffet is incredibly affordable being only around $13 per person. This includes pizza, salad bar and the drink station. Arrived in the Millbrae location shortly before closing after long travel day. Ordered a 1/2&1/2 vegetable / meat assortment and a couple pints of IPA. That combination hit the spot. Visited mountain mikes pizza for the first time, since I live on the east coast. They have an excellent offering of pizza. The crust was crispy but not excessive and the toppings were very good. A real thank you to Dave at this location. He treated everyone who walked in with a smile and pleasant greeting. He explained the offering and help the customer find what was best. I have to say there was a group of young soccer players apparently from the local school eating at tables. Not only were they very respectful, but I noticed when they left - one young man did a clean sweep of the area and even went out to ask one of his team members to clean up his table. I think they could have been better. I understand that Tuesday deal is very popular. But the owner could turn on the AC for the pizza guy in the back. I like the Pizza when it is not so rushed out the door. You could sort of taste how hard the guy was working in the back. I don't like leaving a negative review. Please read and beware that any deal is subject to the worker being overworked. It is kind of disheartening in this economy. We use Mountain Mike's for a quick dinner every now and then and are always satisfied with a decent pizza and appreciate the speediness! Today the Mountain Mike's family showed extra kindness when my toddler wandered in after his Gymboree class asking to see some pizzas ‍. Dav insisted he sit down and have a slice of pizza. The shorter Indian man is a nice guy, not sure if he's the manager or owner?. I came for the lunch buffet and he usually always asks if customers have any requests. 1st review, let's go!! So glad this place finally opened. Been looking forward to having one closer to us in San Bruno for a while, and after a slight delay, they are open as of 5/4/21 - Happy Star Wars Day! I called in the morning to confirm they were open and inquire about any specials. The gentleman I spoke with (I believe the owner), told me they were offering 40% on non-delivery (dine-in or take-out) orders. Not sure if it was only for opening day, or a longer promotion, but a great deal! The place is BRAND NEW. It has that new smell to it, and the TVs even still had the plastic packing pieces on the edges. The seating is almost a mirror imagine down the middle as you walk in, with 2 giant TVs (4 total) on each side wall and a row of booths underneath each one. There are also some open tables on both sides in between the booths and the open walkway down the middle. There is room for a salad bar up front, which will obviously open when safe. They have a Pepsi soda fountain as well as a couple of coolers where they sell cans and various sized bottles of Pepsi products. Ordered a large double pepperoni, pineapple, feta, onion, garlic, with extra sauce. Also got a half-pound order of the boneless wings, honey garlic flavor. The food was great! I know Mountain Mike's is more of a chain, however I have tasted a lot of pizza in my life, and I am a big fan of the taste and quality here. The sauce is specifically really good, as well as the cheese blend and use of the little pepperonis that crisp and curl up when cooked. The sauce/toppings go all the way to the edge of (and over) the crust, so there isn't ever any wasted space with plain bread. The boneless wings were also very good - crispy, tender, white meat bites, and the honey garlic sauce was delicious - wish I would have ordered more and/or different flavors to try. The ranch they use (Ken's Steakhouse) is really good and they offer the pre-packed dipping cups at no charge. The lady that helped us was very nice and friendly. The owner was there in the back hustling and prepping orders himself. There were a few other people there picking up as we were waiting. They have a liquor license pending and said they would serving in about 2 weeks. Would be a cool place to grab a pizza, a beer, and watch a game. Look forward to coming back! read more
