Got Cheese?. Well kinda. I took their burger back to show them what half of a piece of cheese their double deluxe burger had. Really? The young guy 1:13pm insisted there was cheese. Um what lying arse. Let the pictures be the judge.

Came here for some pizza. The pizza was good. I ordered a cheese and bbq chicken pizza. The service is friendly. The ambiance is casual. Would return.

This place has been here forever! Love this place! Service is always good! After eating your pizza, make sure to stroll around broadway avenue

10, I give it a 10! If you don't know, now ya know! Best pie hands down. No flop, crisp undercarriage carriage, HIGH quality cheese and ingredients.

Fun family pizza place that has been around for a while. They have some old video games like Pac-Man and street fighter that remind me of the 80s and 90s. Good pizza with some local beer on tap. Great place for a pizza night and it's not expensive at all. Easy service you order and they call the number when it's ready.

I used to come here with my mom a lot growing up. I remember that the guys behind the bar were always friendly. My favorite part was the endless salad bar and the arcade in the back of the restaurant. Given that Burlingame is a very family friendly community this place gets a ton of business. When it's a super nice day out and your kid has just finished playing soccer, best believe the post game lunch was probably at Village Host. Covid changed so much about the restaurant industry and Village Host is no different. I was a little disappointed on my last visit post covid when I saw that they got rid of the salad bar option and you can only get a packaged house salad. I understand the reasoning behind it, given that the pandemic changed the way we engage with food but as I mentioned, my favorite part about coming here as a kid was that the salad bar was endless. If you prefer a crispy, crumbly crust then their pizza is just right for you. I prefer a more doughy crust and my thickness just depends on my mood. They don't skimp you on the toppings either which is nice. We got a medium half pepperoni and half pepperoni, black olives, and onions. And if you're not in the mood for a pizza they have other options like sandwiches, hot dogs, and burgers.

Village Host is a local pizzeria and dive bar serving a simple menu of pizzas, sandwiches, and sides. The Combination pizza came with tomato sauce, mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, pepperoni, salami, Italian sausage, mushrooms, peppers, onions, and olives, all on a soft, doughy, crispy crust dusted with cornmeal. The Village Host Special sandwich came with salami, pastrami, and ham, along with melted Swiss and cheddar cheeses, lettuce, tomato, onion, and mustard on a soft, crusty French roll, served with a bag of Lay's chips on the side. While decent, both of the items we ordered were lacking in flavor and required quite a bit of dressing up with condiments. While the quality of ingredients and service could have been better, the food here made for a cheap (albeit flavorless) meal.

We've found ourselves a little hidden gem in Burlingame. Per Father's Day request we were given the task to find a pizza spot. I wanted to try somewhere new and came across this place. Right off of the freeway on Broadway Ave sits this hidden gem. It's right at the corner but it is a bit quiet that you could miss it. Their menu is pretty small and to the point. They offer sandwiches, pizzas and a few specials! They have a bar and from the looks of it, they used to offer a salad bar as well. I assume due to Covid they put a hold on that as it currently is a holding place for pizza boxes. We ordered a small ham & pineapple pizza for the kids and a small pesto chicken pizza for myself and the hubby. I'm a crust person and the crust was delicious. It has a good crunch when you take a bite into it but still just enough doughy-ness between the crust n toppings. Both pizzas were good but I'd have to say the pesto chicken was better of the 2. Small pizza came with 8 slices and was enough to feed the family and still has some for the girls to finish off for dinner. It's a large restaurant. You could definitely hold a party in there. Reminds me of the old round tables that had arcades in the back of the restaurant but those are currently unplugged. Definitely will be coming back!

We love coming here. We make the 30 minute drive when the cravings for good pizza crust kick in. Pizza is always well done & loaded with toppings. Sizes are perfect and so is the pricing. I really like the combo from here because they dice the bell peppers. It's a small thing but it's the thing that makes me come back. Staff is always so nice and attentive. Another visit and job well done!

Convenience fee charged on top of my taxed food item.

This is my go to place for pizza and has been for over a decade. Their subs are also very tasty but I usually crave their pizza. I went there recently for a sandwich and used a gift card to pay for my order. Imagine my shock when I saw a charge labeled "convenience fee." Gift cards don't have a processing fee and are treated like cash in card form so they shouldn't charge a "convenience fee" aka credit card processing fee. But the reason I'm giving a three stars is I was not told there would be a surcharge. This was a sneak charge and that's very underhanded. They may have lost a long time customer as I'll think twice about coming here for a long while...

Pizza Sandwich had a moldy aftertaste and tasted just like a lunchable pizza. Ingredients taste cheap, not a fan!
    Amy C.

Ordered the Pizza Sandwich and Deluxe Cheeseburger to split with my partner. My partner and I agreed the Pizza Sandwich had a moldy aftertaste and was reminiscent of the old school pizza lunchables, seemingly same ingredients with the main difference being French bread rather than a soggy cracker. The ingredients had an unpleasant, unappetizing and cheap taste. The deluxe cheeseburger is a plain and flavorless meat patty and cheese on French bread with lettuce, onions and tomato. Both items were bread heavy and lacking in flavor.

We initially sat outside on their patio (which was quite nice) and moved inside as the night got colder. We ordered one classic burger with American cheese and one Outlaw. We also subbed our fries for parmesan garlic fries and tots. The burgers were really tasty; we especially enjoyed the classic burger. The tots were also great - crispy and perfectly fried. The parmesan garlic fries had good flavor but were too oily for our liking. For drinks, we got a blonde bombshell shake which was vanilla with strawberry drizzle around the glass. Service was very friendly and attentive, and their seating (both indoor and outdoor) is comfortable and spacious. As we ate our meal, we had a window view of the sunset. Our dinner came out to $70+ which was a bit steep but we enjoyed our experience.

I'm bummed they took away the options to add your own produce as I didn't like that option pre covid (tastes and opinions have changed). The burger bowl with the ahi sauce is so filling and delicious. I wish they sold that sauce separately so I can put on my breakfast. Seriously consider it, I'd buy it by the bottle. It was super empty when I arrived (late 11am ish) but it picked up really fast. There's tons of seating inside, including at the counter. The staff is also great and the food came out super fast. The food was really good. I'm quite picky about my burgers, and theirs was amazing. The meat is tender and flavorful, the bun is soft, and the dressing compliments everything well. In addition, I got a milkshake and chili cheese fries. The milkshake felt like 3 servings, so there's definitely a ton of value. This food truck serves burgers, tacos, and quesadillas, pretty much a microcosm of what people usually eat in the Bay Area -- and what is actually missing in Millbrae because of the concentration of Asian food. It's also quite a high tech food truck, where you order via a giant touch screen. The folks who work the truck are nice, the only downside is that you can't eat the food right there, so it's always a bit cold by the time I get home. The food usually hits the spot, so I can only imagine if I could have it fresh off the grill! The competition between food trucks is pretty high here, so I'm not surprised by the caliber of the food at this truck. It's just such a curious location.
