We had a wonderful experience with Round Table Pizza in San Bruno. We pre-ordered online for a work event and picked it up the next day, and everything went perfectly. The order was ready exactly at the time we selected, which made planning easy and stress free. The staff was incredibly friendly and kind. They made sure we had everything we needed, including plates, peppers, and cheese, and even gave us a bag to help carry everything since it was raining and we were walking. That extra level of care really stood out. Seriously horrible service with the 2 mecican ladies talking and NOT working on the pizza I ordered half an hour ago. It's completely empty with no customers and they forgot to start my order so here I am waiting. They also forgot my soda cups so I had to ask for that as well. I went back here for lunch yesterday and it was a great experience. I was going to order a medium King Arthur's Supreme pizza, but the lady working there told me that they have a promotion on the large. The large is $35, but with the promo, it is $10 off. I wouldn't have known if she didn't tell me so shout out to her. I paid for my pizza and sat down. Within 10 minutes, she brought out the pizza for me. Pizza was piping hot and was delicious. I went to the restroom, and while I was gone, the waitress approached my boyfriend while he literally had pizza in his mouth and a full beer in front of him and told him, "My chef said to charge you." He was confused but said okay because it made us wonder if they were closing. I checked the hours, and they weren't supposed to close until 10 PM--it was barely around 9 PM. I HADN'T EVEN ORDERED MY FOOD YET. I was still planning on ordering my own pizza, dessert, and a drink. Instead, we suddenly felt like we were being rushed to pay and leave. What made the situation even more unprofessional was that she left the payment device at our table for Apple Pay and then actually left the restaurant. She was the only server we had seen around, so we were basically left sitting there with the payment device and no server. We eventually had to get up ourselves to find someone so we could ask for boxes and return their payment device. No one had even asked whether we needed boxes, wanted anything else, or were finished ordering. My boyfriend didn't even finish his beer because at that point the entire vibe had changed and we just wanted to leave. We had driven an hour specifically to try this restaurant and were genuinely excited about it, which made the experience even more disappointing. I completely understand if a server's shift is ending, but there is a professional way to handle that--especially when customers are still actively eating and one person at the table hasn't even ordered yet. Someone could have simply explained that her shift was ending and introduced whoever would be taking over our table. Instead, we were made to feel like we needed to pay and leave. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the experience. We really wanted to like this place, but being treated this way after driving an hour to come here was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

Service is very quick even when busy, and the banchan comes out after you place your order. I came at 6PM on a Sunday and the restaurant had a few tables open. They can fill up quick, and appears to accommodate large parties by moving tables together. This is one of the few places I've been where they serve a fried mackerel with banchan iykyk. I ordered a Kimchi Jjim and seafood pancake. First off, their portions are large and their tables are small, so i found myself organizing our small table for two considering the banchan, water, bowls, rice, and main courses. The Kimchi Jjim was amazing - a good kick of flavorful and is not too spicy. They cut the kimchi after bringing the soup, just like how they do it in Korea. There was a lot of pork and substance in the soup, and it felt of really good value given how much you need to prepare to make a bowl of it. The seafood pancake was also a hit, but I recommend ordering and sharing amongst 4 people. It's a little oily, but the seafood taste and substance are not skimped on. It tasted freshly fried given how crispy it was, and was overall an enjoyable dish. With prices and portions in balance, it's no wonder this is one of the few places with a line out the door around 6:30PM on a Sunday. Given how many Koreans came here, I wouldn't doubt that this place falls any short of authentic Korean food. If you're a fan of Korean food and some lesser known Korean dishes, then you're in for a treat. Make sure to come early to avoid the wait, since the restaurant is a little small and spots can fill up quick.

Next time, I would probably simply request it. they provided a side order of chips and three salsas, which I only asked for the one tomatillo smoky salsa. The salsa was good and medium spicy.
