Ended up getting another pie (Godfather 16"), which took ~30 min. It somehow got olives added and it looked the same size as the 14". We were fine with this, but I'd check the order before leaving the next time. Lava muffins were smaller than pictured on their website, but the center was a perfect gooey mess. It's probably better they were smaller, because they are quite sweet. Super friendly staff, located in an unassuming plaza. Super local feel, and the design feels like a retro diner.

Let's start with the wife, which truly speaks to the five stars because she frankly doesn't love Italian food. She eats it when I beg. And she loved it. She actually proactively mentioned she wanted to go back. That's like 7 stars right there it's so abnormal. I agree with her. The chicken parm was fantastic. Amazing. To top it off, our server was great and when I mentioned we were new to the area and it was our first trip she was so nice telling us the history of the original and the other stores, and the manager later stopped by to continue that conversation as the server told her we were new. I mentioned that I live closer to the Scottsdale store, and she said it's the same food and I'll like it just as much. I'll have a hard time deciding which shop to return to - it might be worth the drive to the original just for the ambiance, but I'll give the other a try soon because it was just that good! 5 stars. Or 7 if you ask my wife.

I had to ask three separate times for refills, and the third time I actually had to get up and find our server at the bar, where she was sitting, still discussing the schedule. When the pizza finally arrived, it was delicious. But basic things like Parmesan and pepper weren't offered. I had to flag someone down to ask. And even though we'd just received our food, the lights on the patio were turned off while we were eating, and we were brought a box very quickly, which felt like a not-so-subtle hint to leave. I decided to give Mountain Mike's another try tonight since my friends love the Pineapple Chicken Luau and encouraged me to order again. The first and last time we visited, I did enjoy the pepperoni, as did my boyfriend, so I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I was disappointed again. I specifically ordered pepperoni as an additional topping, which came with a $2 charge, yet there was no pepperoni on the pizza. As shown in my photo, the topping was completely missing. I understand that mistakes happen, but when paying extra for a specific item, I expect it to be included. It's frustrating to have this issue, especially when trying to give a place another chance. I hope the restaurant can be more attentive to orders in the future to avoid similar experiences for other customers. read more

Stopped by Mountain Mike's for a late lunch and had a great experience. The place was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The service really stood out- the cashier was warm and inviting, and took the time to explain how everything worked. I decided to go with the lunch buffet, and the cashier even offered to make any special pizza I wanted (a really nice touch!). I just stuck with what was already on the buffet, but it didn't disappoint. The all-you-can-eat pizza and salad were both fresh, and new pizzas kept coming out regularly, even though there were only a handful of people in the restaurant. Mountain Mike's in Mesa is a great spot for pizza! The restaurant is spacious, with plenty of seating and a fantastic wraparound bar that adds to the atmosphere. The manager was very friendly and welcoming, which made our visit even better. They also offer daily deals that are super attractive, making it a great value for a night out. As for the pizza--absolutely fresh and delicious! You can tell they take pride in their ingredients and preparation.
