Like a spaghetti stain on a Tupperware bowl, I am stuck to Jet's Pizza. At Jet's Pizza, they make a great Detroit-style pizza. They were so good that we ordered them a second time just a week later. On our first visit, we ordered an 8-pc. Corner Eugene Supreme pizza $31.49 and 8-pc. honey BBQ Jet Wings for $11.99. The wings were great and I'd gladly order them again. The Eugene Supreme was such a great blend of ingredients. It had everything-but-the-kitchen-sink. On our second visit, we got the 8-pc. Bold Pepperoni $21.49 I was expecting a lot more pepperonis than what was present but hey, no complaints. It was balanced and the restraint of pepperoni made it so it was too salty. The little pepperonis cupped up. I love it when the pepperoni crisps up and cups. It become a little vessel of good tasty grease. Your heart might not like it as much but your tastebuds will be happy! Our third visit was for Super Bowl Sunday. Got the 8-pc. Pepperoni for $25.49 and it hit. The pepperonis on this pizza weren't the tiny kind that cups like the Bold Pepperoni but there was a plentiful amount of pepperonis. It was perfect for the Big Game and no complaints. I've been be craving a Detroit-style pizza and Jet's pulled through. I haven't been here so naturally, these great Yelp reviews caught my eye. We ordered: 8-pc. I can be a harsh critic when it comes to pizzas as I'm originally from the East Coast and we know our pizzas very well. I lived in NYC for 15 years and have done my homework when it comes to pizzas, so when I like a pizza place, its usually good pizza. I've never had Detroit style pizza, however, a Yelp girlfriend of mine raved about it to me, so I finally gave this place a try tonight. I put in my order online at 7pm and showed up around 7:20pm and my order was ready. Big tall kid working the front was nice and friendly. The place just smells amazing. The menu online was a bit overwhelming as lots of specials and also different ways to put in your order. I ended up going with a large Jet 10 Detroit style pizza. There was a $5 off special so that was nice. I got the butter and garlic crust, and that was tasty. I had a 20min drive and by 7:45pm, the pizza was still hot and fresh. This was a nice crunchy pizza, no sogginess, and all of it very tasty. It sort of reminds me of a Sicilian but much better. I love that every slice essentially is a corner and I like this was a rectangular pie. I was in heaven! The large is really big and Im going to be eating this for days, wowsers. What a great pizza joint! And now I can check off my list that I have eaten Detroit style pizzas! Yea! Ok so where do I begin. Several of my coworkers recommended this place so I decided to try it for the family. So I'm going to start with the negatives. I ordered chicken wings and asked for well done but they seemed a little undercooked. The honey BBQ were saucy and tasty but the mild ones seemed to need more sauce. And like O said, they were not well done or extra crispy or anything. The salad was like 90% lettuce so I think they COULD put less of that and a little more other veggies. Other than that, it was good. The pricing was a little high for what you're getting. $75 seems a bit much for a couple of pizza's, less than a dozen and a half of wings, and a salad, and I used a couple of their deals. But it's cool, because I wanted to try it. So now the good. The pizza was pretty good. We got the Detroit style crust that's called "8 corner" and if you've ever had Detroit style, you'll know that the crust is thick and it has just the right amount of crunch around the edges and is perfectly soft in the middle. Plus it was pretty tasty. The joint was clean, like sparkling clean. Plus it had an old soda fountain or old pizzeria feel to it. There was a wall separating the prep area from the customer area with windows on top for exhibition of cooking which is one of MY favorite things about any restaurant that has it. Any of you that have read my reviews should know that cleanliness is king in my book! Now to get to the staff. Again, anyone that's read my stuff should know that service is truly the most important part of any service business in my opinion. There were three guys that I noticed working and I wish I would have gotten their names. When I walked in, the first team member came right to the counter with a huge smile and an amazing greeting that caught my attention right away. He was so friendly and seemingly happy and it was so genuine like it's just his personality and there was nothing fake about it. Then as I was leaving one of the guys behind the class waved and wished me a good night and was as friendly as the first guy. Once out side, I remembered that we needed some pictures and I went back in and that first guy was right there to greet me and I started taking my pictures. He asked if I just needed some pics and I told him yes for my yelp, lol. At that point the third team member turned and started posing for me then through up the peace sign and said, "have a good night" as did the second guy again as I was leaving. So five stars for the service and condition of the place, 3 stars for the salad, and 4 stars for the wings because they WERE tasty. So I give this place 4 stars and I WOULD recommend them should you ever want to try a good Detroit style pizza! read more

We tried the Detroit style pizza the other night with Italian sausage on the right square and a hamburger on the other. Next time I would go with their well done option, just needed a little more. Not their fault. We were trying for the first time. Popped in the oven a little longer and it was very good. Lots of pizza for an affordable price. Eating leftovers this week. Fast cook time and pickup was a breeze. Tucked away just a couple of strip mall north of Bethany Home and off 16th street on the west side of the road. Pickup was very quick. The Detroit style pizza here is so frikn good! It's on an almost bi weekly rotation for us. The deals are unbeatable for the quality pizza you receive. The place is immaculately clean, the kids that work there are so friendly. The ONE time they didn't get our order quite right (I get havsies with my guy) I get extra sauce on my half and they mistakenly put it on his, they fixed it right away with no charge so we ended up with 2 pizzas. I really like the turbo and butter crust at no additional charge. The ranch here is also on point, I get a couple sides or the bottle! The first time I ordered, I ordered through Uber eats. The order was delayed like 30 minutes, so the food was cold but the flavor was still there. We gave it another shot and just ordered through their website because we learned they do delivery. The food came on time, it was hot, it was everything. We got the mild buffalo wings and the eight corner pizza. We customized the pizza and made half chicken bacon ranch and the other side pepperoni, jalapeño, and pineapple. We love their Detroit style pizza, the corners aren't too hard where it hurts your gums. The perfect cheesy bite every time you bite. Everything seasoned great. One day a mailer arrived for Jets Pizza and we were intrigued by the Detroit style pizza. It looked good and they have some decent deals so we gave them a try one night. It looked like pizza I've had before but couldn't place where or when. The location is small, with half the space taken up by the kitchen area. There's just a few benches inside so this is just for carry out. The crust is good - it's greasy and crispy on the outside with a soft interior. The toppings were fresh and tasty. The kids loved the pizza and they are hard to impress by anything outside their comfort zone. Last thing to know is if you have sesame allergies like we do, Jets does have sesame available (I'm not sure why sesame would be put on a pizza). The person at the counter seemed surprised to learn that when I double checked and someone in the kitchen said they do have it but it's by request, not a standard ingredient. read more

If the pizza place across from Jet's Pizza ever decides to change their name to Shark's Pizza I'll be sure to practice my finger snapping and jaunty swagger before spontaneously breaking out into an ultra competitive dance-off with my rivals on the streets. All kidding aside, when I saw Jet's offered Detroit style pizza I was intrigued. What did the Motor City have to offer to the world of tossed tomato pies? I also liked the different options for crusts (Detroit style, thin crust, NY style and hand-tossed round in addition to gluten free and cauliflower crust) so you could get a little more variety in your order and please just about anyone in your pizza party. We ordered a Jet 10 on Detroit style crust, a Hawaiian on hand tossed round, and a veggie on NY style crust. Our order for a Sunday afternoon would take 20-30 minute for pickup. It was ready when we got to the shop and all was well for transporting back! Out of the three crusts, I preferred the Detroit style the best. It was a deep dish, rectangular pie with a delightfully crispy outer edge and chewy crust. The Jet 10 toppings were plentiful and included pizza sauce, premium mozzarella, pepperoni, ham, hamburger, Italian sausage, bacon, mushrooms, onions, green peppers & black olives. The NY style was NY style in that it was thin crust and it could be folded, but I usually prefer a more crisper crust which can be hard to achieve for a thin pizza. The hand tossed round was decent, but nothing too extraordinary that I would be yearning for this type of crust again since it's a ubiquitous type of crust you'd find at your typical pizza place. The toppings for the other pizzas tasted great and were evenly distributed throughout each pie. I didn't try jets pizza for a long time when it came to the area - when I finally did try it, it was AMAZING. I won't order pizza from anywhere else now because they just don't compare. Jets crust is so crispy and delicious, they have a ton of toppings, their service is awesome, they're usually faster than their estimated time on both carry out and delivery. Approaching this review with Jet's Pizza being a chain pizza brand: it is currently my partner's and my favorite chain pizza to get when we just need something quick and easy. The store concept is for carry out only and is conveniently located next to a Fry's and Petco if you needed to get some shopping done before picking up your order. Parking can get a little crowded sometimes, but we've never had to park far away for a pickup order even for dinner time. It's pretty easy to customize your order online (make sure to take advantage of deals!). I do wish there was some kind of white sauce option, but it's not a huge dealbreaker for me. Most toppings are pretty good, but I did find their chicken pretty dry and mushrooms pretty thin. The store itself is very clean and we've never had issues with our order. If we set a pickup time ahead of time, we've found that they time and cook the pizza to be done exactly at pickup time, so it won't be sitting in the warmer for too long or we aren't waiting for it be done. Jets is primarily setup for takeout or delivery at this Tempe location. Not dine in, but there are two tables on patio if you choose to stay. Self seating and self service. This review, however, is about two items: 1. Detroit style pizza is a fantastic deep dish pizza. Meant only as a compliment...but I only had crust this good when I was a kid in the 80's and pizza hut sold deep dish pizza. Buttery crust that was just perfect blend of crust, softness, and buttery flavor. I will never understand what crust, pizza hut makes today. But, Jets gets it right, again! 2. Owner. Just too nice of an owner and hope their location thrives. There were some bumps in our experience, and he not only made it right. He makes me want to see his location succeed. He simply cared to make it right. It did not take a lot, except for a smile and acknowledgment. Made us feel like we mattered without us needing to escalate emotions. Good person. We gave this location 2 chances to deliver value and keep us as customers. It might not be the end of the world but when we pay over a dollar per smallish sized chicken wings and receive Zero ranch or other dips, no celery and no carrot sticks it just rubs us wrong and shows how cheap and or corporate greedy they are being. That's a long with paying almost $20 for a 4 piece pizza. Much better value to be had at several nearby other businesses. read more

Jet's Pizza is the best Detroit-style pizza in Phoenix and it's not even close. Honestly, Jet's is like top 5 for all Phoenix pizza. I used to live right down the street from where this location opened and if I still lived there I would get Jet's every week, probably multiple times a week if we're being real. I am from the Midwest so I've been telling everyone since I moved to Phoenix how good Detroit-style pizza is, Jet's in particular. It is worth the hike for me to drive over from South Mountain to get it - Hopefully they open a more central Phoenix location soon! It's usually pretty busy but service is quick. I do wish they had more seating at this location though, to be fair, that's not something you typically go to Jet's for. Because I have to drive to get it, I usually just eat here at the tables they have outside, so it would be nice to have a bathroom and a place to wash my hands but that's a small gripe and doesn't deserve knocking a star off. I really did want their pizza. It said they deliver. I was 2.5 miles from their place and it apparently was not in their delivery zone. Their auto phone service then asked me if I wanted to be directed to a live person I said yes, and I waited for about 35 seconds and hung up because I was in a hurry and the people visiting me had just flown in and we're all hungry. That caused me to call oregano's and I spent about 70 bucks on two pizzas and picked them up because they have a live person that picks the phone up and they don't mess around with Auto answering programs that people of my generation are just very sick of. At some point in the future I will maybe stop in and order a pizza because as I said, it's probably really good, but I expect to be waited on immediately when I call a place. Keep in mind.
