Whoa this pizza is AMAZING!!!! We went on their website to order, we were out of their range to deliver. We went on doordash and ordered, the driver messed up and didnt give us my GF pizza. My husband called the Dobson location and explained I couldn't eat what was left due to having to be GF. The lady on the call was So BEYOND AMAZING! She said they would remake my GF pizza and deliver it. Within 20 mins the lady on the phone was at our door with my pizza. I can not explain how amazing that was for them to go above and beyond. I grew up in New Jersey and pizza is my flat out favorite food. If I was on death row, two slices and a beer would be my last meal. Pizza is just one of those meals I can't turn down. No matter how bad it is, I will still eat it. That said... this was bad. For some strange reason my mother-in-law loves this pizza. Thinking about it though, this is also a woman who says she hates bread and is always eating a sandwich. So... grain of salt I guess. She ordered to pies from Mountain Mikes. A giant pepperoni and what was a smaller "everything". Simply put it tastes like D'jorno with slightly better toppings. Anytime pizza is ordered in my house. It gets eaten. Not a slice left. This pizza sat around for three days before we gave up and trashed it. Normally I will give suggestions if there is promise in a place, but there is simply no saving this pizza. Very enjoyable pizza while my wife and I were visiting the Phoenix area for a HS hockey tourney. The prices for a mini and small pizza were dirt cheap, with our choice of toppings. Not too much sauce or cheese and not over cooked (I.e., burnt). The staff was super friendly when we walked in and even checked on us to make sure of the name for the order (so we didn't have to wait too long). The 10-inch pizza box had a couple of slices and some breadsticks, which would have been okay if it had been edible. It must have spent the day under the heating lamp because it was rock hard and beyond rehydration. I didn't eat it, but the pizza appeared to be good at one time. It had a lot of toppings, but the crust was too hard--what a shame. While visiting my friend in Arizona, we decided to stop by Mountain Mike's Pizza--and let me tell you, that pizza was absolutely delicious! And that's coming from someone who considers herself a true pizza connoisseur. I ordered a small pizza, and it was the perfect size with enough for leftovers. It looks like it should be an old style type where you actually have a pleasant waitress who cares about you and service with a nice bar. But it isn't... this is a hollow place with no soul and the pizza is just as bad. Absolutely Zero flavor in the sauce and in the pizzas, the garlic stuffed crust came out extremely oily and inedible. We couldn't even give it away to a homeless guy, we opened it and showed him the pizza... he said that's OK and walked off. The only saving grace was fresh toppings on the supreme pizza but still zero exciting flavor. Go get NYPD or Old Chicago pizza. My first time very visiting a Mountain Mike's location. I didn't even know it was a chain at first because I hadn't really heard of it before! Came here after some fun at the park with my husband and son. Service was great! It was clean and not too busy! Love that they have a couple games too! We went simple and got garlic cheese sticks and a cheese pizza. It was more than enough food for sure! I also got marinara and ranch on the side. The marinara was kinda gross, like a paste and not sauce. The ranch was fine! The pizza gave off 90's pizza party vibes which was nostalgic but not like the best. It was a tiny bit too saucy and doughy. But it was not bad at all. The garlic sticks were ok as well, could've been a bit more garlicky and it felt like maybe it had been sitting out just for a little bit. I want to start off by saying that I really wanted to like this place. I'd visited mountain mikes up in the bay area a few times and thought it was very good. When I noticed they opened one here in Tempe/Mesa I was excited. First and foremost everybody that works here is extremely nice and very friendly. I was very very happy with the service overall. The food was mediocre, the pizza was a little bit dry, not a whole lot of flavor, but I would not say that it was bad. Stayed in Mesa at a hotel close to this place. I had their Pike's Peak pizza. Pizza was loaded with lots of toppings, was very flavorful and the crust was perfect. My family likes Mountain Mike pizza. I think the small slices are pretty cute. The pizza tastes pretty standard. The pizza crust is much like I find at other pizza places. I like the cheese. It is also pretty standard. The sausage tasted pretty good. I have had off tasting sausage at other places before. The sausage is a pretty good size too. I don't like when they are too big and roll off of my pizza when I am trying to eat. I also don't like it when they are small little pellets where I can't taste anything. The crust isn't burnt which is a plus. At other places I have had burnt crust. I don't like my crust to be burnt. My family likes extra sauce but I am not a fan. My dad took my family and I here for the first time. The establishment itself is really nice inside. It's spacious and looks clean. There is a bar here if that is a factor for anyone and the drinks seemed to be decently priced. But I never ordered one. The staff was really nice and we even ended up in conversation. It felt very welcoming and she was able to answer all our questions. We ended up ordering a pepperoni pizza and the Everest pizza with no mushroom (it was most similar to a werx pizza). Things really went downhill when the new owners took over. The quality and consistency were awful for a good bit, but it's never bounced back to what it was before. The servers/bartenders used to be out in the bar area, helping and serving customers like in a restaurant, but now everything is order at the counter. It kinda removes the incentive to tip, especially when that quality service isn't there anymore. Super disappointed with this location. Wanted to say a big thanks to the crew that were there before new ownership took over. They were always consistent, friendly, and went above and beyond. This is not a well-run establishment. The lunch buffet is under-whelming both in terms of quality and frequency of refreshing. Our server at the bar doubled as the front door takeout order taker and at the end had disappeared entirely so after a long time of being done we had to walk around and flag down a young kid (twice) to close out (he said she was "in a meeting,"), which prob should have waited until customers were served. Meanwhile, the likely manager was at the bar on two laptops and a zoom call completely oblivious to the underserved customers, dirty dishes, etc. Mind you, this was not a busy time. Management has no desire to serve. Bone-in wings (Franks Buffalo - $8.99) were hot but flavorless and the flats were too small. Good news is pints are $4.50. Bad news - only standard IPA is Lagunitas. No local regular IPAs. The entire eating area is lit by the coldest daylight white bright led bulbs you've ever seen outside a hospital. So cheap and easy to replace the bulbs with warm white bulbs. The red metal light fixtures are all extremely dusty as well. read more
