I ordered from here via Uber Eats on a whim. And then I ordered from here again everyday, for the next 5 days. It was that good. On the 6th day I brought my foodie bestie to the restaurant and she loved it as much as I do! She'a an expert chef and world traveling food expert and she has since brought every member of her family here, one at a time. The food is something you have to experience! If you're a fan of Din Tai Fung, get the Xiao long Bao. You will not regret it! The Zhong Dumplings compliment those well with a little kick. The Steamed Barbecue Pork Buns are like lotus flower shaped clouds of dough filled with a perfectly balanced bbq pulled pork. And the Sesame Chewy Balls with Red Bean are my favorite sweet item. I randomly crave those all the time. The staff is always welcoming and so kind and the atmosphere is very "hole-in-the-wall", which I love. It makes it feel like I've found something really special. I really cannot express enough what a diamond-in-the-rough sort of thing this place feels like. It feels like my little secret pocket in a city filled incredible food and I honestly can't believe they don't have a line down the block of people waiting to eat there everyday. It has become my favorite place to tell out-of-towners to go if they truly want a taste of Seattle excellence. Attaching a pic of the door as it can be missed. It's the recessed white door to the right of the recessed door to the Double J Saloon.

Was in the mood for soup dumplings one day and decided to try this place out from the publicity it was getting on IG. It's a pretty small restaurant and didn't seem like they were really prepped to have people dining in yet. But we got a table and it did not look like it was wiped clean yet. It was clean enough to sit though and took a look at their menu. We weren't sure if we were suppose to order from their online menu or wait for the server to come to us. We ended up waving the service over to take our order. We ended up getting quite a bit and it did end up being too much that we took the rest home. We got some dan dan noodles, soup dumplings, pan fried dumplings, dumplings in hot oil, and some cucumber in hot oil to balance things out. We were pretty disappointed with the soup dumplings and the dumplings in hot oil. The dan dan noodles were good texture-wise, but it lacked any flavor. The hot chili oil condiment helped with that fortunately. Surprisingly the pan fried dumplings were juicier than the soup dumplings. They were the star for me at this place. There were a lot of to go orders coming from this place though that I noticed. They basically were discouraging people that came in to not place an order. Telling them it'll be a 40 minute wait. It's nice to see them get so much business, but it definitely doesn't look like they can meet the demand. If you're going to order from here, try ordering at odd hours instead of the usual lunch and dinner rush times. They'll be too book. I do like the fact that they have a guy making dumplings in the front so you can see they make it themselves and make it fresh. So that's good to know, just don't expect high quality stuff out of them. I think the soup dumpling wasn't steamed long enough either for me since it looked pretty pink still after I bit into one. But I'm still alive, so it's safe to eat still I guess lol. I'd come back for the pan-fried dumplings. Not the soup dumplings though, like, where was the soup?

A hidden gem in Lake City. Drove by this place couple times but never noticed it. But luckily we finally gave it a try! The food portion was pretty decent. And the owner even shared their secret menu to us, their homemade bacon. Would definitely got back!

Great family-owned place in an inconspicuous location putting out some wonderful traditional Chinese dishes! It was pretty quiet and our group of 8 was seated immediately. We had a reservation, which was also super easy to set up. Everything was fresh and flavorful and the chongqing chicken wasn't too oily like I've had at other places!

Came for Thanksgiving! They are open until 9pm. We ordered: Tea - marinated Duck - Very tasty and not dry. I love the crunch and soft meat. Braised Pork Belly - Soft and tender. The flavor is not too salty or too sweet so best to layer flavor however you want. Bak choy - typical Mashed eggplant and century egg - best one in the batch. Xiao bao - good. Service - fast and helpful Order - no hassle Order via QR Code. Pay and Call Waitstaff too. Ambience - clean, festive and family friendly. We would come again and Recommend.

I was so happy to see Mount&Bao emerge unscathed from the pandemic. This place is SO good. It's hard to pick what our favorite dish was, but we got a wide selection of items, including pan fried pork Xiao Long Bao, tofu salad, chive and pork dumplings, wontons in chili sauce, chive & egg pancakes, and the mushroom & Napa bao along with hot tea. I'd highly recommend the wontons, tofu salad, and pork Xiao Long Bao, but you can't go wrong. It was a one-man show at the restaurant, but the restaurant owner was so kind and the service was smooth, timely, and welcoming. It wasn't very busy, but I was very surprised to see him manage everything on his own, but he created a warm and friendly atmosphere and we can't wait to come back. Please try this place if you haven't already!

We decided to check this place out for dinner as we heard a lot of good things about it but it kinda fell short... Service was a little mixed but it was ok. It didn't seem like they want us to dine in as the guy was pretty hesitant when we asked. I definitely like the ordering system as you can scan the qr code and place the order there without having to wait for the waiter to come take our order. We got: Pork xiao long bao: umm...there was no soup in 6/10 of the dumplings. It was a little bland and the dough is on the thicker side. Not my favorite 3/5 Shrimp and chives pan fried bao: greasy, and it wasn't as crispy ad I would want. Soft and fluffy on top though. The flavor is good, it reminds me of the Vietnamese shrimp Dumpling (banh bot loc) 4/5 Spicy noodle: probably the highlight of the meal. The texture was chewy and the flavor was good. 5/5 Overall, it was ok. The price is a tad pricy for my liking but not bad.

Delish vegetables. Green beans and eggplant were standouts. Scallion pancakes also delish. Big servings. Great service.

The Pork Xiao Long Bao were okay in my opinion, but it wasn't anything too special. I haven't had dim sum in a long time and found this place had great options and amazing pictures on Yelp. I decided to order some baos to pick up and semi satisfy my craving but the wait was about 30 min. I went in just to check after 15 min, there was only one other person sitting at a table inside and they said it would be 15 more min so I guess 30 was accurate. When i got my food it wasn't as fresh as you would expect, but I think this is definitely food you want to eat there, although my walk from the restaurant to my car was a few feet away and I was eating these in my car so I would think it would still be almost as fresh as if I was eating there but it just wasn't.

This place was perfect for my families weekly dinners. We were a party of 7 adults with varying taste, arriving around 6:30pm. Liking to share dishes we ordered a plethora of them including 3 noodle dishes, beef noodle soup, green beans, eggplant broccoli and soup dumplings, spicy wontons, onion pancake, veggie rolls, all MSG free, incredibly flavored, all fresh ingredients, accented with the many condiments and the homemade garlic sauce is flavorful. The Jasmine, herbal tea was warming welcomed on a chilly spring evening. We arrived to an empty restaurant but by the time we left it was full. Three of us took the leftovers and ate them for lunch the following day. We will be regulars. Thank you for an amazing family dinner experience.

Amazing food. Price is not bad. Server was great. Serving was quick. Parking is street parking. If you like for a hole in the wall type of place, I highly recommend it!

A tiny place with big portion and authentic food…read more We came here on a Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was almost fully packed. I had my all time favorite dish at a Hong Kong café cuisine, gon caau ngau ho (乾炒牛河), aka beef chow fun, along with a childhood favorite drink, iced Horlicks. I liked how everything moved at a quick pace here and yet the staff were still friendly. The best part was that no one stopped by to ask how the food was while your mouth was full, because they already knew the food was good. The beef chow fun was just as good as the ones back home. It was savory and full of wok hei (iykyk). The bean sprouts were added at just the right time, so they were still a slightly crunchy. The sliced beef was tender too. If you like adding extra spice, be sure to try the crunchy chili sauce on the table. It was awesome, fragrant, spicy, and full of flavor. Just be careful not to choke on it, I did, and it wasn't fun. I hadn't had Horlicks in twenty years, and the first sip brought back so many memories. Be sure to stir it well and maybe wait until the ice melts a little, otherwise it may be slightly too sweet. My partner is a vegetarian. He looked through the entire menu and said there weren't many things he could order (listen, people, choose your future SO accordingly if you like sharing big meat dishes). He ended up ordering the curry vegetable rice and added a fried egg. He said the curry was delicious. I tried a bite of it and agreed. I think there may have some coconut milk in it because it was rich and creamy. The rice was a little too dry to my liking. Sitting there and listening to the background music from the Hong Kong TV news, I felt like a kid again.

Quick service, free hot tea in plastic cups (a classic), and chili oil at the table. Ask for white pepper btw! Depending on your taste, I like adding white pepper to my fried rice, chow fun, and soup. Wonton soup: the wontons are huge and filled with pork and shrimp. The soup however was kind of sour? Not sure what they added in, but the flavor of the broth was not my favorite. There's so much good wonton soup in the area! I wish this broth was better and more savory. Beef chow fun: pretty tasty and the beef was pretty tender. There was no work hei, so didn't have that distinct flavor Half chicken bone in: this was surprisingly our favorite dish! Steamed chicken with a ginger oil. The ginger made this dish and the chicken was very tender. The chicken comes cold so eat it with some rice and it's the perfect combo

The Chow Mein had a wonderful Wok Hei flavor and the chicken was juicy and tender. It was our favorite of the dishes. The Mixed Basket Xiao Long Bao was super fun to be able to try them all and pick your favorites. Mine was the wagyu beef, the original pork and the truffle. I was kind of sad that they didn't include soy vinegar and chili oil. I feel that those things enhance the Xiao Long Bao. The Lychee Sweet & Sour Pork Tenderloin I was most excited about. Unfortunately, it was the worst dish. The flavor was great. I love that it had lychee in it, but the breading was mush, and the pork was so hard and overcooked. It was inedible. Because of that dish and not including the condiments is my three star review.

I had been meaning to check Tai Tung out, and having a group is a great opportunity to try a variety of dishes family style. We ordered the fried chicken wings, half peking duck, beef chow fun, beef in oyster sauce (Bruce Lee's favorite), crab fried rice, and noodles with tofu (one girl had to be healthy!) The food was solid and nostalgic. It reminded me of the kind of Chinese food I would get in the 80s and 90s when we went out for Chinese food in New Jersey. We stayed, talking, until the restaurant closed. As my friends packed up and said their goodbyes, the staff noticed me looking around at the different tables. I wanted to find Bruce Lee's favorite table, which I had seen on online reviews of Tai Tung. The staff member very proudly brought us all into the next room, turned on the lights, showed us the photos on the wall, and told us about the history. We got a history and culture lesson with our meal. Best of all, our friends all congratulated me on the "great find!" of a restaurant, and isn't that the kind of validation every Yelper wants?
