When I asked for hot sauce, the owner (older woman) handed me ONE single packet (pictured) and looked away. One. Tiny. Packet. Every other teriyaki place I've ever been to is far more generous with sauces, especially when you're paying almost $20 for a to-go combo. This just felt unnecessarily stingy and unwelcoming. While I have not tried the food yet and cannot say if it's any good, the experience was not pleasant. If you're going to nickel-and-dime customers over sauce packets, don't be surprised when they take their business elsewhere. Just for the terrible "basic service", I will not be back. read more

Omg! I recently discovered their new gluten free menu. This is a huge blessing to me as a 20 year veteran of eating gluten free. I have had both the orange and general chicken and it's delicious and I felt great the next day (my usual sign if I've been glutened). The person who served me lunch was friendly and kind. This restaurant is amazing. I had their chicken teriyaki bento box ($18) and it was such a good amount of food that I had to take some to-go. Not only that but the food itself was great. Their teriyaki sauce was so flavorful and tasty; definitely one of the best teriyaki sauces I had. The california roll was fresh and tasted really good. Their prawns were good; tasted a bit on the older side but still good. The service here was nice and friendly. Food was served fast. I enjoyed the ambiance. This place isn't known for dine-in. It looks like people take out more than dine in. It's nicely decorated and I enjoyed eating here. I would definitely come back here again. I have to hand it to owner Mi Lim L., she really knows the 'way' to deliver high-quality teriyaki! I had the Hot & Spicy Chicken and it definitely had a different flavor from the other Spicy Chickens I've ever had. Hearty teriyaki, fairly large portions for the price! Generous amount of meat stacked on rice. Despite being close, I only discovered this spot because it's open on a Sunday whereas a lot of other teriyaki spots aren't. Salad is served on the side and all the space is saved for rice and meat, which is insane. I would love more sauce, preferably on the side, but there's still a fair amount of sauce present. Chicken Teriyaki - juicy and tender chicken make up over half of the entree. There's more meat than the rice and one can easily make two meals from this. Could use a little more sauce (for the rice especially) but still a very hearty and cozy meal. Beef Teriyaki - tender, flavorful cuts of beef that don't need extra sauce, but definitely enhanced by sauce. While other beef teriyakis have spring onion or regular onions sauteed in, this one is purely meat and rice which can be good or bad depending on preference. read more

Not bad. We tried a variety of items from Teriyaki Way. Good size portions and it will fill you up. Reasonable price. The chicken teriyaki wasn't bad. We also tried the cream cheese wontons which almost had a little too much cream cheese in them. I also tried the bento box with chicken teriyaki. The teriyaki itself was decent as was the tempura shrimp and veggies. The California roll wasn't very good though. I would probably skip this. The salad was a nice touch but I wouldn't decide if the dressing was good or not. Overall it will do the trick if you're hungry but nothing stood out. read more

The lovely older woman who I think is the proprietor (I haven't gotten her name yet) heard my boyfriend admiring her handcrank juice press machine, so she surprised him with a free fresh-pressed strawberry lemonade (worth $4) when his order came up. I've been looking for a good Teriyaki restaurant that serves General Tsos Chicken in the Lynnwood area and am still on the hunt. However, the food was decent and very filling. The chicken was crispy but not fired all the way through; some larger pieces were soggy after biting into them. It also appears they use frozen vegetables when they stir-fry; which is ok but not what I expected on a $13 meal. The staff and service was very good! The lady who was working the front counter was very nice and greeted me when I entered. I ended up ordering to go, but would definitely go back just based on the service. I know "Chinese" style dishes are hit an miss at any Teriyaki restaurant, so I'll be back to try a traditional Teriyaki dish when I'm back in the area. read more

This has been my family's "go to" teriyaki place for many years. Delicious teriyaki and generous sized servings, kept us coming! Something has happened recently, and not for the better. Suddenly, the servings have been reduced to half the expected size. In addition, the chicken served appears to have had a very brief visit in teriyaki sauce. We are very disappointed. Their prices are a little on the expensive side but the quality matches the price in my opinion. Very nice people who run this establishment. During the pandemic we explored all the teriyaki shops on the north end because we wanted to support local small businesses and teriyaki is one of the few take out foods our picky toddler would eat. Teriyaki Way is our favorite and has been the most consistent in quality and flavor. Our go-tos are the bentos and the classic chicken teriyaki. Best teriyaki in town!! We ordered the chicken + chicken katsu which was so delicious. It's hard to find good katsu so I'm so happy that I found my spot for katsu. We also got the beef yakisoba and generally I think yakisoba dishes are mediocre, but this was so delicious! It wasn't too oily and was fresh tasting for a dish that's generally on the heavier side. This was my go-to spot until the orders changed recently. The standard chicken teriyaki portion is suddenly 1/3 to 1/2 smaller (especially noticeable in the rice) than it used to be and less sauced, which means you need the entire side of sauce (plus some) to cover the meat. We have been coming to this place for years. Have always loved the food. Lately the food has not been good and the portions are tiny while the prices go up. If you order to eat there they serve you in a to go container and give you a paper food tray. The lady at the front isn't the warmest person either. The whole process was easy and it was ready for pickup quickly and with no line or hassle when I came in to get the order. The quality of the food was fine but wow are the portions generous. I ended up portioning out and serving the rice and teriyaki from that one order for like the entire weekend lol. A disclaimer: This place changed owners and reopened two weeks ago so it's a fairly new operation. I came in for lunch with my mom and ordered the Mongolian beef and kalbi. The menu offers more than teriyaki, there's also Chinese and Korean dishes. There's also free self serve barley tea and egg drop soup available while you wait. This is a small family business with the husband cooking in the back and the wife handling the front. The service was still fast and courteous even with the traffic coming in and out (there seems to be a lot of take out and door dash / Uber eats drivers coming through). This place is very clean which means a lot to me personally, it doesn't smell greasy, and it's cozy. I'm really picky with Mongolian beef, there are many different iterations of the dish from different regions and it's hit and miss. This is my favorite find since moving to Washington in 2016, it's savory and not overly sweet. The kalbi was fantastic, it's my favorite Korean bbq dish and the marinade wasn't too heavy, the meat wasn't too fatty or overly chewy, it was exactly what I wanted. This a convenient and tasty spot to grab food in the area and I hope they stick around for many years. read more

Awesome teriyaki place! This is my ultimate favorite teriyaki restaurant. All of their dishes are delicious, the service is great, and the place is very clean! Their ingredients are also very fresh evertime I eat here. I tried many dishes here but so far their Bento box, stirred fried vegetables with tofu, Mongolian tofu, general tao, and pork teriyaki are my favorites. I never thought teriyaki sauce would get elevated, but here we are. Prawns were light and crispy, gyoza was juicy, and the sushi rolls were perfect. I'm not sure if I am the best person to review Teriyaki Way, because I only order one entree. The Mongolian Tofu is so good, I will develop a craving several times per week. The tofu is prepared perfectly in this dish, the sauce has a slight sweetness, sautéed onions, peppers, it's delicious! The egg rolls are good, not too much ginger. If you like your beef teriyaki to come with a jaw workout this is the place for you. Have you ever put beef jerky in the microwave for 2 minutes? Well, me either! But I assume it would taste something like this places beef teriyaki. It was dry and extremely chewy. They should sell their beef teriyaki as "teriyaki gum" because you can chew it all day and it never goes away. I would love to say, "I probably just caught them on an off day" but sadly it's not my first time here. Last time I got the chicken and let's just say I WISH I WOULD HAVE MADE THAT MY LAST TIME EVER COMING HERE. Chicken shouldn't be dry and chewy neither should the beef. Spent $38 plus tip for carry out two entrees. A lot of food (generous portions), the sauce was ok, but the protein was awful and the obscene amount of not fresh and likely jarred garlic from who tf knows where was awful. The chicken might have been precooked then frozen and sold next door at Safeway when on sale, and then cooked again here and tossed with a decent sauce and 9 TB of garlic from mars. I would given another half star if it could be described as rubbery but it didn't quite get there. I make these meals at home when I have time, try to replicate what I love about them from this type of place from my youth and pay for the convenience but this is not that. read more
