    Hot and Spicy Chicken!
    Matt R.

I have to hand it to owner Mi Lim L., she really knows the 'way' to deliver high-quality teriyaki! I had the Hot & Spicy Chicken and it definitely had a different flavor from the other Spicy Chickens I've ever had. The spice kinda kicked my butt, but that's cause I'm old and can't handle it anymore! But really good chicken, served piping hot. I will be back as it's really close to where I work.

    Bento Box, Chicken Teriyaki

This restaurant is amazing. I had their chicken teriyaki bento box ($18) and it was such a good amount of food that I had to take some to-go. Not only that but the food itself was great. Their teriyaki sauce was so flavorful and tasty; definitely one of the best teriyaki sauces I had. The california roll was fresh and tasted really good. Their prawns were good; tasted a bit on the older side but still good. The service here was nice and friendly. Food was served fast. I enjoyed the ambiance. This place isn't known for dine-in. It looks like people take out more than dine in. It's nicely decorated and I enjoyed eating here. I would definitely come back here again. I wished I lived really close to this restaurant because I'd be eating here a lot

    Beef Teriyaki
    Generous Y.

Hearty teriyaki, fairly large portions for the price! Generous amount of meat stacked on rice. Despite being close, I only discovered this spot because it's open on a Sunday whereas a lot of other teriyaki spots aren't. Salad is served on the side and all the space is saved for rice and meat, which is insane. I would love more sauce, preferably on the side, but there's still a fair amount of sauce present. Chicken Teriyaki - juicy and tender chicken make up over half of the entree. There's more meat than the rice and one can easily make two meals from this. Could use a little more sauce (for the rice especially) but still a very hearty and cozy meal. Beef Teriyaki - tender, flavorful cuts of beef that don't need extra sauce, but definitely enhanced by sauce. While other beef teriyakis have spring onion or regular onions sauteed in, this one is purely meat and rice which can be good or bad depending on preference.

Not bad. We tried a variety of items from Teriyaki Way. Good size portions and it will fill you up. Reasonable price. The chicken teriyaki wasn't bad. We also tried the cream cheese wontons which almost had a little too much cream cheese in them. I also tried the bento box with chicken teriyaki. The teriyaki itself was decent as was the tempura shrimp and veggies. The California roll wasn't very good though. I would probably skip this. The salad was a nice touch but I wouldn't decide if the dressing was good or not. Overall it will do the trick if you're hungry but nothing stood out.

Hand-crank pressed strawberry lemonade and tofu teriyaki.

I just wanted to give a shout-out to the Teriyaki Way on Highway 99 next to TJ Maxx, off of 238th. The lovely older woman who I think is the proprietor (I haven't gotten her name yet) heard my boyfriend admiring her handcrank juice press machine, so she surprised him with a free fresh-pressed strawberry lemonade (worth $4) when his order came up. And, of course, the vegan tofu yakisoba was delicious, as usual! This is why it pays to #shoplocal and support our local #smallbusiness community!

    General Tso's Chicken w/Brown Rice
    Chris E.

I've been looking for a good Teriyaki restaurant that serves General Tsos Chicken in the Lynnwood area and am still on the hunt. However, the food was decent and very filling. The chicken was crispy but not fired all the way through; some larger pieces were soggy after biting into them. It also appears they use frozen vegetables when they stir-fry; which is ok but not what I expected on a $13 meal. The staff and service was very good! The lady who was working the front counter was very nice and greeted me when I entered. I ended up ordering to go, but would definitely go back just based on the service. I know "Chinese" style dishes are hit an miss at any Teriyaki restaurant, so I'll be back to try a traditional Teriyaki dish when I'm back in the area.

I've be a regular here for sometime, they have really nice owners and the food is delicious. Usually takes 15-20 minutes to prepare, cooked to order. They have large portions, my personal favorite is the #6. Combo Yakisoba $14.99 it comes with a scoop of steamed rice. It has chicken, beef & shrimp so good & enough to share.

The wooden partitions and traditional Japanese design elements create a cozy space that is both elegant and relaxed. It is the kind of place where you can take your time and actually enjoy the experience, not just the food. What really stood out to me was the freshness and presentation. You can literally see the quality at the sushi bar, with beautifully cut fish displayed right in front of you. It immediately builds trust and anticipation. I ordered a mix of items, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. The crispy rolls we had were perfectly balanced, with a light crunch on the outside and very fresh, flavorful fish on top. The textures were just right, not greasy, not heavy, just clean and satisfying. The crab tempura roll was also excellent, with a nice crispiness and generous portions. One of my favorite parts was how vibrant everything looked. The colors, the plating, the little details like the garnish and sauce all showed care and attention. It did not feel like standard sushi you can get anywhere, it felt curated. The menu itself is also really interesting. There are classic options, but also more elevated dishes like uni, toro selections, and specialty items that make the experience feel a bit more premium without being intimidating. You can go simple or explore more refined flavors depending on your mood. Service was smooth and pleasant. Nothing felt rushed, and everything came at a good pace. It made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. Overall, this is definitely a spot I would come back to. It hits that perfect balance between quality, atmosphere, and price. Whether you are going for a casual sushi night or something a bit more special, Kazoku delivers. Highly recommend. I felt like I was in Japan. I miss Japan .

We both got 2 portions of the 11 piece omakase ($53) and the great pacific northwest roll ($20) to share. The omakase offered good variety and came with an explanation of each cut of fish which was nice. We both enjoyed everything just fine but were left a little disappointed with the quality. Because of all the great reviews and the price point, I think we just were expecting to enjoy our meal much more than we did. The fish quality was not poor by any means but just not that good. The roll also lacked a bit of flavor as well :( I don't know if we just went on an off night or not, and I am hopeful that might be true. The ambiance was nice and balanced, the tables were spaced apart well, making the hum of the restaurant nice but not too much. We took awhile to look over the whole menu and there are so many things that I would come back for just to try. The only let down was the edamame as it is a staple that we usually order at any restaurant when available. They were very hot and cold and felt like it was a frozen edamame that was nuked in the microwave. The establishment itself was very modern looking with a very clean vibe. We will definitely be back. I hope management will read this and be convinced to make some changes. The service is okay; the only issue is that sometimes it takes a while to get someone's attention to check out, even if you press the "call waitstaff" button on the menu webpage. The atmosphere is fine, though it's a pretty small dining space so it can feel a bit claustrophobic and get quite loud during its busiest hours. My main criticisms relate to the food itself: for one, the tuna is astoundingly horrible. It's hard to describe, but it looks and tastes practically artificial; it's flavorless and somehow... dry? The white tuna option is better, but still not what I would call good. I'm not entirely convinced that it isn't actually escolar (butterfish), which is often misrepresented as being white tuna. It's disappointing that both of the tuna options are so bad, especially since those are usually my favorites. Another issue is that when you order simple sushi rolls, like just tuna/salmon rolls or the ones with avocado, they often stick a gigantic piece of the fish in them, which makes them disproportionally large and difficult to eat multiple of. I assume that's by design, since they want you to fill up faster to save money, but it really detracts from the experience. Some of the fried rolls are also made way too big and are just obnoxious to consume, so I don't order them anymore. My last main complaint is that there's really just not a lot of variety when it comes to nigiri/sashimi. Since both of the tuna options suck, that limits the options even further. I haven't seen any yellowtail options (even for rolls) in a while. If they expanded the selections more and started using better quality tuna (at least for the nigiri), I would select the gold dinner menu much more frequently. Also, please put nigiri on the gold lunch menu. PS: That bbq pork stuff in the buffet is amazing, please don't get rid of it.

We were greeted as we walked in and took a couple minutes to look through the considerable menu. My wife ordered the teriyaki combo and I went with a Katsu combo. Both came out in about ten minutes. The gyoza were well cooked, but could have used a bit more seasoning. The chicken teriyaki was well cooked, still tender and juicy, with the right amount of char and sauce. Two generous scoops of rice provided ample starch. The salad dressing was a bit tangier and less sweet than most PNW teriyaki, but decent enough. My katsu combo felt like a mixed bag. The shrimp katsu (a first for me) was cooked perfectly, but ended up having no taste once it'd cooled. The chicken katsu was overdone: not quite burned but right on the edge where it had dried out and had an uncomfortable crunch. Again, a generous portion of rice and salad were included. I think we'd skip the gyoza next time (which is a shocker, because it's typically a fav for us) and I might retry the katsu chicken or give a spicy teriyaki a try.
