This is a great little place located right near the train depot. I can see people stopping in on their way in or out of San Clemente. After our walk, Cako and I came here, but they didn't open until 8. I asked one of the workers if it was ok if I left my car in their parking lot, there's only three spaces, and would come back when they opened, which he said was alright. I liked that! So Cako and I walked around the area which was very interesting. A little after 8, I went in. There were people there already. Me: Good morning! You two are very popular. When I was looking for a bakery on Yelp, Moulin came up. He: You saw our pictures. Me: Yep! There's a lot! I ordered a plain croissant, an almond croissant, and a pain au chocolat. My go tos for a new bakery. All three were good, not as flaky as I've had at other places. But I really liked the almond one. There's an indoor dining room and a cute little patio. Definitely worth checking out!

Continues to be consistent and mostly decent. Somehow they manage to fit most everything in here at this tight location. Coffees and pastries are good, but most of all you go for the experience of being down near the beach, able to sit outside, and enjoy something decent. Staff is friendly and everything is served promptly. For a little taste of France and ambience, stop by here.

I was going to the food hall but decided to stop in here and check it out first and I ended up ordering the salmon, medium rare and the chicken which looks so good. The kids who work here are so sweet and helpful and I'm teaching them the difference between sparkling wine and Prosecco and regular wine.

This place is so cute! Love the outside patio area, red umbrellas and all. Employees are friendly, food is good, but all of my utensils were dirty and I asked for a second set, which also was dirty...this is the reason for a 4 star review. I ordered a veggie omelette, it probably was one of the best executed omelettes I've had. Fluffy, just the right amount of filling, flavorful and the accompanying salad was perfect! I ordered a cafe latte, very good and the small chocolate on the side was a welcomed treat. Bravo to the cooks here. We will definitely be back.

Heads up! They offer dinner now on Fridays and Saturday and itnis amazing. My Companion had the equivalent of shepherds pie which was awesome and I enjoyed the best French onion soup I have ever had, not too salty thi k with cheese croutons and pieces of onion. Not too thin. Value advice: Chardonnay is $10 a glass but go to the cooler and buy a bottle for $20! Service was so friendly! We will be back!

This location is spectacular! Located in North Beach right above the North Beach trail... so after eating you can walk off all the calories!! lol This location is an easy walk from our home so my dog really loves coming here! They have both inside and outside seating and you can have your dog with you either location. Service is easy... you order at the counter... although you can easily get distracted by all the goodies on display!, they give you a number and bring your food to you when it's ready. It's a very casual French cafe perfect for breakfast or lunch and seems to be a perfect stop for bikers! If you want a great French food experience this is a great choice!

The Croque Madame was insane. I actually had to close my eyes for a second because it was so delicious... took home two croissants. Just ate one of them and had the same reaction. Just bloody stellar.

My fav spot is Moulin for a bite...I usually go to Newport Beach one because its closer and also they have a small shop that have variety of french products and by being francophone and traveling to France many times this petite corner is nostalgia..I like this location because its so local and everyone know each other and you already know that they know you are not from town lol...Today i was craving for chocolate eclair so bad and luckily they had it...This cafe is so little in compare to Newport Beach one so the variety is too little and we didnt have so many option. Service was great. The young employee made us laugh somuch....They are always very welcoming. We also got coffee eclair too and two oranges made our day even more special! Don't forget to have coins for parking..

Moulin is my go to coffee shop. The people that work there are away friendly and helpful. Pastries, salads, sandwiches are all wonderfully tasty. If you are gluten sensitive, this is the place for you. All flour and butter is imported from France. Coffee is excellent. My favorite pastry is the almond crescent. So yummy! I highly recommend Moulin! Tony, Sammy and James are the best!

Iced latte

This is a cute little coffee shop/bakery near the beach in San Clemente. Their coffee menu is very basic so I just ordered a half-caff iced latte. It was good! Not so good that I'd come back just for the coffee, but I'd happily stop by if it was on my way or if I wanted some pastries too. I didn't get a chance to try their baked goods, but they had a lot of delicious-looking things. It seems like they're more known as a bakery than coffee shop. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have matcha lattes, since that's my current favorite drink, but I suppose they are trying to stay in their lane of just being a bakery.

Very nice decor and cute overall vibe. Felt authentic. Great restaurant and great people. Both servers were very kind and made the experience great. We did not catch their names but the male (curly blonde hair) was very nice and made sure we got the beer and food we wanted. The female (brunette) made sure we got the dessert we wanted. The hostess was very nice and was able to accommodate to get our requested table right away. Everyone was lovely and made us very happy to be there. Thank you all!

We sat on a booth. the server had an accent, almost felt as if I was in Belgium. he took care of our orders but we never saw him again afterwards so his service wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. we ordered few things: 1) beef carpaccio- looked like any other beef carpaccio dish but this one wasn't as good. the meat wasn't cut as thinly as others. it was adequate dish but nothing great. 2) small mussels and fries- pretty good. wish there was more pieces for $29 3) pork shank- the presentation was avg. But this dish was fantastic. the meat fell off the bone, literally. meat was very tender. great dish. 4) beef bourguignon- very good dish too. not salty like most places. meat was flavorful and tender. 5) brazino- not bad but I've had better. felt like the skin needed to be crispier. 6) Profiteroles au chocolat- I've never had this before. amazing dessert. perfect. the ice cream inside the dough, choux pastry, was superb.

Cuisine and service worthy of this dog-friendly venue's high Yelp ratings…read more Our party of four, with dog in tow, was looking for a good meal on our way from Newport Beach to Carlsbad. San Clemente was about halfway in terms of distance, but pragmatically it felt much closer because traffic on Route 5 South began backing up in the middle of Camp Pendleton. I searched Yelp for dog-friendly restaurants in San Clemente and found Fig 313, which allows dogs on its patio. I liked the description: fresh, local ingredients and a fusion of European culinary traditions and American favorites, nestled within a 1927 landmark. When we arrived, we found a beautiful little restaurant and an attractive, comfortable patio complete with old stone, lush plantings, vines, heat lamps, and a fire pit. The staff cheerfully turned on both the lam and fire pit when our California friend said she was cold. This is a constant source of amusement for me, since the temperature was 72 degrees at the time. We shared an appetizer that sounded especially tasty: Goat Cheese Fondue - caramelized shallots, Granny Smith apples, grilled bread It came with apple slices and crostini. The crostini was perfectly toasted and made a great accompaniment to the absolutely delicious goat cheese fondue. The attentive wait staff noticed we had finished the crostini while some fondue remained. When they asked whether we wanted more, we said yes, and soon finished off both the extra crostini and the remaining fondue. For our entrées, we ordered: * Braised Short Rib - boneless, served with braised cabbage, croquette, and apple mustard crème fraîche * Fig Wagyu Burger - Chavrie goat cheese, fig marmalade, arugula with Truffle Fries * Chicken Not Pie - half chicken, semi-boneless, savory bread pudding, velouté sauce, fresh herbs * Lamb Ragu Pasta - slow-braised lamb simmered in a rich tomato and red pepper sauce, topped with garlic lemon yogurt and fresh herbs, served over fresh pasta My lamb ragu was excellent, the rich sauce paired with pasta cooked perfectly al dente. I sampled every dish and found them all nicely executed. I would happily reorder any of them. The truffle fries, which were shared by all, were hot, crunchy, and delicious. The staff was cheerful, highly attentive, and completely on their game. They refilled water glasses multiple times, checked on our meals, and responded immediately to every request. If I lived nearby, Fig 313 would be in regular rotation, they should open a restaurant in Boston or Providence!

It feels like a local spot with endless options to enjoy. Their baristas (Lucy is the best) can make everything but also don't shy away from suggesting something new. I've recently fallen in love with an iced flat white with vanilla for a little summer sweet treat. Their drip coffee is divine too! Talk about range... we frequent for brunch/lunch/date night too. Their wine list is truly endless. You can sit inside at the bar, at a gorgeous table with air conditioning, under their adorable pink-striped umbrellas on the patio, or in an extended patio off the sidewalk with plenty of seating. You will be treated with exceptional service regardless of seating. Their brunch menu is delicious. Their chive biscuit breakfast sandwich is incredible, as is their breakfast burrito, chilaquiles AND biscuits and gravy. To be fair, we visit most regularly for a cheese board and meat with a glass of wine. Recently enjoyed the ceviche and smash burger with side-winder fries which was hand crafted and filling. Even our young boys enjoyed every bite. On Sunday's (1st and 3rd of the month) they have live music which is wonderful. Last thing, the cellar cookie is incredible. It's hard to just drop in for a coffee and not leave with one when available. You will never regret a visit to The Cellar! One of the best places in San Clemente.
