This is a great little place located right near the train depot. I can see people stopping in on their way in or out of San Clemente. After our walk, Cako and I came here, but they didn't open until 8. I asked one of the workers if it was ok if I left my car in their parking lot, there's only three spaces, and would come back when they opened, which he said was alright. I liked that! So Cako and I walked around the area which was very interesting. A little after 8, I went in. There were people there already. Me: Good morning! You two are very popular. When I was looking for a bakery on Yelp, Moulin came up. He: You saw our pictures. Me: Yep! There's a lot! I ordered a plain croissant, an almond croissant, and a pain au chocolat. My go tos for a new bakery. All three were good, not as flaky as I've had at other places. But I really liked the almond one. There's an indoor dining room and a cute little patio. Definitely worth checking out!

Continues to be consistent and mostly decent. Somehow they manage to fit most everything in here at this tight location. Coffees and pastries are good, but most of all you go for the experience of being down near the beach, able to sit outside, and enjoy something decent. Staff is friendly and everything is served promptly. For a little taste of France and ambience, stop by here.

I was going to the food hall but decided to stop in here and check it out first and I ended up ordering the salmon, medium rare and the chicken which looks so good. The kids who work here are so sweet and helpful and I'm teaching them the difference between sparkling wine and Prosecco and regular wine.

This place is so cute! Love the outside patio area, red umbrellas and all. Employees are friendly, food is good, but all of my utensils were dirty and I asked for a second set, which also was dirty...this is the reason for a 4 star review. I ordered a veggie omelette, it probably was one of the best executed omelettes I've had. Fluffy, just the right amount of filling, flavorful and the accompanying salad was perfect! I ordered a cafe latte, very good and the small chocolate on the side was a welcomed treat. Bravo to the cooks here. We will definitely be back.

Heads up! They offer dinner now on Fridays and Saturday and itnis amazing. My Companion had the equivalent of shepherds pie which was awesome and I enjoyed the best French onion soup I have ever had, not too salty thi k with cheese croutons and pieces of onion. Not too thin. Value advice: Chardonnay is $10 a glass but go to the cooler and buy a bottle for $20! Service was so friendly! We will be back!

This location is spectacular! Located in North Beach right above the North Beach trail... so after eating you can walk off all the calories!! lol This location is an easy walk from our home so my dog really loves coming here! They have both inside and outside seating and you can have your dog with you either location. Service is easy... you order at the counter... although you can easily get distracted by all the goodies on display!, they give you a number and bring your food to you when it's ready. It's a very casual French cafe perfect for breakfast or lunch and seems to be a perfect stop for bikers! If you want a great French food experience this is a great choice!

The Croque Madame was insane. I actually had to close my eyes for a second because it was so delicious... took home two croissants. Just ate one of them and had the same reaction. Just bloody stellar.

My fav spot is Moulin for a bite...I usually go to Newport Beach one because its closer and also they have a small shop that have variety of french products and by being francophone and traveling to France many times this petite corner is nostalgia..I like this location because its so local and everyone know each other and you already know that they know you are not from town lol...Today i was craving for chocolate eclair so bad and luckily they had it...This cafe is so little in compare to Newport Beach one so the variety is too little and we didnt have so many option. Service was great. The young employee made us laugh somuch....They are always very welcoming. We also got coffee eclair too and two oranges made our day even more special! Don't forget to have coins for parking..

Moulin is my go to coffee shop. The people that work there are away friendly and helpful. Pastries, salads, sandwiches are all wonderfully tasty. If you are gluten sensitive, this is the place for you. All flour and butter is imported from France. Coffee is excellent. My favorite pastry is the almond crescent. So yummy! I highly recommend Moulin! Tony, Sammy and James are the best!

Iced latte

This is a cute little coffee shop/bakery near the beach in San Clemente. Their coffee menu is very basic so I just ordered a half-caff iced latte. It was good! Not so good that I'd come back just for the coffee, but I'd happily stop by if it was on my way or if I wanted some pastries too. I didn't get a chance to try their baked goods, but they had a lot of delicious-looking things. It seems like they're more known as a bakery than coffee shop. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have matcha lattes, since that's my current favorite drink, but I suppose they are trying to stay in their lane of just being a bakery.

Wonderful French crepe cafe…read more The Mushroom and Spinach crepe, add bacon, was excellent. They essentially make a French folded omelette and then wrap a crepe around it and top it off with Bechamel sauce (kind of like Alfredo for those who don't know). Even though the menu doesn't mention the sauce, it comes with it. The Nutella Banana crepe was amazing with a generous amount of Nutella inside. Instead of having the chocolate drizzle on top, I wonder if they can do Nutella drizzle on top, in addition to the Nutella that's inside already. I highly recommend paying for the extra berries on top to keep it interesting. The side of nicely seasoned breakfast potatoes rounded out the meal. Be sure to ask for a side of ketchup! We couldn't bring Cako on the pier, so we looked at what was available. I did see Bear Coast coffee which I wanted to stop into. The menu was simple so we decided to stop, plus we needed outdoor seating for Cako. The young woman who was working was friendly and upbeat! Told us to grab whichever table we wanted. Even brought out water for Cako. I ordered the Frenchies sandwich, ham, salami, prosciutto, provolone and pesto! Very good! Scooter had the Jambon and fromage, which he said was perfect! Both sandwiches came with these seasoned crispy potatoes. The menu was small. But I'm sure they'll offer more. Would've tried the crepes but that will have to wait until next time, Again, the service was great! The young woman came out and checked on us and refilled our iced teas. Great afternoon to enjoy lunch and watch people. Cako Approves!

Campesino Cafe is located at the Ecology Center in San Juan Capistrano, an organic farm with local goods and a shop. It's a beautiful area with live chickens and little fun corners to explore and visit such as an ice cream stand that I didn't get to try out. There's plenty of parking too and the cafe itself wasn't too hard to find. It's past the main shop and past the ice cream stand. When I got to the cafe, I was greeted by a really friendly cashier who helped me navigate the menu which was full of organic food such as sandwiches, crudo, and some brunch items as well. I asked the cashier for his favorite item and I was guided to the beans and grain bowl surprisingly - being told it would be both filling and tasty. I took him up on his offer. After grabbing a table number, there were numerous tables available in an outdoor patio with some shade covering along with big water glasses to use. The food came out after about 5-7 minutes. The bowl was really solid. I loved the vinaigrette they used which was sour and savory. And the beans and grains were perfectly cooked. You can add protein onto the dish, but I thought it worked on its own. I do think if you are pretty hungry, the bowl by itself won't completely fill you up so might be worth getting an appetizer. Would come back!

Had such a great brunch experience at Ramos House Cafe in San Juan Capistrano!…read more We went for their weekend brunch, which is a set menu where you choose a small plate and a large plate. The restaurant is located right on Los Rios Street, the historic street in San Juan Capistrano, so you're right in the heart of the cutest part of town. The space is really charming -- it's outdoors but covered, with lots of plants and rustic details that make it feel cozy and unique. Our server was also so sweet and helpful throughout the meal. And the food was really good. For my small plate, I got the fava bean treat, which was kind of like a little salad with bread and a fava bean spread on the side. I didn't really taste the black truffle part. The large plate was the roasted vegetable hash, and this was definitely my favorite. It was seasoned so well and had so many different grilled vegetables packed into it. The fried poached egg was also fantastic! The only part I'd probably skip next time is the tomato foam, but that's mostly because I'm not a huge fan of foams in general. The brunch is $49 per person, so it's definitely more of a splurge, but you do get a good amount of food and I thought the quality was really impressive. There's decent parking nearby, or you can try to find street parking around town and walk over, although weekends can make that a little challenging. Overall, such a cute space, great service, and really delicious food. It's a fun spot for a special brunch, especially if you want to spend some time walking around Los Rios Street afterward!

Absolutely mind-blowing work. We set up the dessert table and every single one of my guests stopped to take in the beauty of her design.
