I really wish I could leave a lower rating. I am finally washing my hands of this company. I end up with a new rep every couple of months because they leave due to their unhappiness with the job. I was supposedly serviced within the month and my tanks are empty and nozzles lying on the ground where they have been for months. No one came out to my property. They want me to upgrade my system and I told them no until they can show good customer service. I am finally calling tomorrow to official stop service and get a refund on what I paid and the annual service they have NOT provided for months. Definitely look elsewhere in the Charleston, SC area. The only time I had customer service was from the last time I left a bad review. That was 3 reps ago....... read more

I had the system installed about 6 years ago at a cost of well over $2000. Its really just plastic tubing and nozzles spaced every 4' or so. it also has a barrel for fluid and an electrical box/controller. Took a couple of hours to install. All worked fine (although mosquito removal efficacy is dubious) until the wifi module stopped working. They tried to blame my wifi (was not the case) as they could not get it to connect. They changed the wifi module and that worked for a while ...until it didn't. I got fed up with constant service requests so i cancelled the $100 per month contract (they top up your fluids and do a routine check on nozzles etc) and decided to buy fluids myself. I asked the company how to change the spray timer on the unit but they wouldn't tell me unless I paid a $100 fee for a techie to come out. Kind of shady business that do this as they are forcing you to lock in to their business forever or be left with hardware that you cant do anything with. I can't recommend them as their customer service is very lacking. If you stop paying the $100/month they just dump you even though I have paid $10k over the 6 years. That means nothing to them. Which was awesome! He was always very helpful and had a great attitude. At one point we needed technical help and he took it upon himself to contact a manager for us. This company used to be good when it started. They are horrible now. They have no communication between the scheduler and the people doing the work. It's all contracted out so you never know who you're getting or if they even know what they are doing. The management team never replies back to you. Any issues takes months to get completed. We started off with fogging service that probably gave us a 50% reduction in mosquitos. We moved on to a fully automated misting system that probably has reduced the amount of mosquitos 30-50% compared to no treatment. Salesperson was very nice and professional. The install was scheduled only a week out, even in the busy season which was good. Install went very fast, maybe 2 hours. However, some of the tubing was installed in different areas than we had discussed in the consultation. In addition, the color of tubing installed did not match my fence or most of my deck, like they had showed in the sales pitch, instead they just installed black, which looked very bad. I emailed them to resolve the issue and they agreed to fix it with no questions asked which was great. They scheduled a time to correct it, I took time off work to be here and no one showed up the entire day. No one called to warn me, I had to reach back out. They rescheduled again for a few days out to send someone. Same thing, I stayed home to make sure they corrected it, and no one showed up. Finally, on the third attempt, they came back and changed the color of some of the mismatched tubing they had installed. Everyone I dealt with was extremely nice. We still are spraying with off and using citronella spray after two weeks of having the system, which is pretty frustrating. They, claim to reduce mosquitos by up to 99%, but that is far from our experience. read more

I spent $8000 for three systems to cover 2 1/2 acres. I pay over $400 a month for full service and necessary repairs. Have used their service for over five years. Over the last few years I've had numerous issues. Tanks left empty, techs failing to set timers and return equipment to original condition after maintenance. Head replacements have been sporadic. A leak in one of the zones was finally detected but has been sitting untouched for months. Calls to the office have been unreturned. Numerous excuses for not correcting the leak. Beds torn up and with exposed wires/heads. Needless to say, we've had mosquito issues for the last few years do to this incompetence. Field supervisor was contacted also. More excuses. I've asked repeatedly that these issues be addressed but my requests have fallen on deaf ears. I think it's now time to move on.... read more

Stay away from this company. I purchased the misting system from them. Part of the warranty is they will come out and service your unit quarterly. My first service was due in Dec 2021. They charged my card for the service but never came out. You cannot get anyone to answer the phone unless you go through sales and act like you want to purchase their system. That is the only way I have been able to talk to a real person. The only problem then is, nobody will call you back. I have called FOUR different times requesting to speak to a manager and I have yet to get a call back. I will be contacting the Attorney Generals office today to see what I can do. At some point the original company was acquired by a larger corporation, and the quality of the service dropped dramatically. Quite often the technician who comes to service my system misses something, like a fallen riser or a clogged nozzle, and I have to call to get someone to come back out. They switched from an all-natural repellent to some kind of hybrid artificial/natural compound without notifying their customers (I only knew because another reviewer mentioned it, and I checked my invoices to confirm). They have also raised their prices twice without any notification; I was simply billed a larger amount. By now there are a number of firms offering this kind of service, and I would definitely check them out before settling on MosquitoNix. UPDATE: I received a call from the local owner, Josh Wright, the day after posting this review. He was very accepting of and responsive to my criticisms. Apparently he has only been in his position a few months, and he sounds committed to giving customers good service. I will be in further communication with him and will update this review again. read more

I have been a customer off and on for about 7 years. It used to be more effective with the mosquitos, but this time around I had to keep calling for them to come back. Then, they kept not showing up when they said they would. Then, when I called to ask, they were like, "oh, yeah, looks like someone moved your appointment. Wasn't me though." So we would reschedule, and the whole thing would repeat. Meanwhile, we would get eaten alive by mosquitos. Do not recommend this service. read more

I purchase a fairly expensive (~60 nozzle) system for my new home. I've owned a mosquito mister system at my previous home, and am quite familiar with them. It didn't bode well that the young man who installed the system was fired midway through because his boss didn't think he was doing a very good job. But supposedly, they went over the system to make sure it was up to snuff. But after about a year of use, I just didn't feel that I was getting a sufficient decrease in my mosquito problem. And when the system would turn on, I just didn't seem to get much in the way of the misting. I started digging up the system and found to my dismay, that many of the risers were improperly installed with the PVC tubing being kinked in so many places throughout my system. They use a system where they would drill a hole at the bottom of a piece of copper pipe and thread the tubing up the pipe to create a riser. What they don't tell you is that the tubing will kink almost every time at the point where it enters the copper pipe. I ended up spending several days off having dig up most of the system, replace almost all the risers, and a great deal of tubing myself, spending several hundreds of dollars on new riser kits, nozzles and tubing. This particularly is irritating after spending a few thousand on the system in the first place! I did end of calling MosquitoNix to complain and tell them of my experience. I really didn't know what their response would be, if any, but the representative did promise that the owner would call me back. Well, a week later, no response from the company. I'm so glad that I didn't get a service contract from this company! Save yourself a significant amount of money, time, and hassle. Find another source for your mosquito misting system. read more

I got an online deal for one free service and with the West Nile virus threat ... Decided to give it a try. The staff on the phone were very helpful explaining the different services. I opted for the non permanent service. They came and fogged all the shrubs EC , put granules in grass and dunks in fountains. I have not seen a mosquito since! I can be out in garden at dawn or dusk!!!! Highly recommend this service! read more

I paid $3000 for set up and $90 a month for several years. The effectiveness was mediocre, and service spotty. When I got better and cheaper service from another company spraying every 21 days, MosquitoNix charged me $166 to come back and retrieve their equipment. I bought the groupon with very high hopes. Unfortunately, it took a month to get an appointment. When I called to confirm they had no record of my appointment. They finally booked me again but got my name and address wrong. Finally a full month after I first called they treated my yard. We were really excited at first because we had much fewer mosquitoes but one week later our yard was full of mosquitoes again. I called mosquito nix an dithery told me they don't guarantee the service. They might be able to guarantee it if I were a real customer. Such a shame because I really wanted to become a "real customer". Bottom line--not worth it for a week of no mosquitoes. read more

These guys are greenwashing. They claim to use pyrethrum that is produced by the chrysanthemum flower naturally. This is NOT true. I had them send me the MSDS sheet and turns out the main active ingredient is Bifenthrin -- a type of Pyrethroid. Pyrethroids are a synthetic (NOT natural) insecticide. While I was insisting on a refund they went on about how their product is organic. Yeah, so is dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT). Just because something is an organic compound doesn't mean I want my two year old rolling around in it. I'm not saying their product is as dangerous as DDT, but I am not a fan of someone who says they're selling something different from what they are. read more

I have used mosquito Nix for years. I had my system serviced today and Robert checked every nozzle on my property, replaced some and even had to get a ladder to reach nozzles I have in an oak tree. This company is the best. If a problem comes up before their monthly visit, a quick call is all it takes to have my system working great again. Whew! We purchased a Morgan's Deal to try out services for pest control with these folks and were really surprised to actually experience and INCREASE in bathroom ants after our treatment. Upon contacting the company, we were told that an increase a few days after treatment was typical and we should wait. When I called back today, I was told I waited too long to call back?! Boo on the complete inefficacy of the treatment and then boo on the ambiguous return call window limits that were not communicated. :( read more
