Loved Moscato. Had a tough crowd, two sophisticated college students all dressed up after a family event (and would rather be out with friends), plus their grandfather, who loves Moscato and brought everyone there last minute. It was perfect. It was a gorgeous night and perfect for eating outdoors on the side patio. We all settled in and shared the fried artichokes. Great cocktails. We split salads and several pastas and veal martini. Everything was delicious. Service was friendly and relaxed. It was a great night, and I think that Moscato was responsible! I hate to leave bad reviews but for the price I paid I felt like I have to. I'll go into details below. Sat outside on a cloudy day (started to rain towards the middle of my meal) Atmosphere: the outdoor seating is a vibe, 4/5 it would be amazing if they had an awning of some sort for days that it rained as we got rained on randomly. Otherwise very romantic seating. Service: I think the service was decent 3.5/5 they could've used some more help but the staff who was there was friendly and attentive. Just overwhelmed with so many tables. Food: the food was straight out disappointing. I'll start with the burrata. The burrata was good, 4/5 however, they did not offer any balsamic. The Veal was ok 3.5/5 but they brought it out extremely cold and I'll give the benefit of the doubt that perhaps this happened as it started to rain (light rain) and they maybe waited to see if it would stop. However, we still had to pay $30 something for it so it should've been hot. The tortelli was the most disappointing, 1/5 on flavor and the fact that it was also brought out very cold made it that much worse. The sauce in it also didn't have a good flavor but perhaps if it was hotter it may have been better. Dessert: tried both the ricotta cheesecake and the Tartufo. The ricotta cheesecake was not good at all to the point that we didn't even finish it. It was super dry and just not good flavor. 1/5 the Tartufo was the best part of the night 4/5 it wasn't the best Tartufo I've had as the best I've had is over at Lusardis (same owner) but it was satisfying enough. Would I like to give it another try? Absolutely as I liked the service and the seating, however, $200 later (of course that includes a decent tip) I will have to really think about it. read more

I just stopped by today at moscatos for a early dinner with some friends for the first time. I found the ambiance of the restaurant to be very good. The appetizers were very good. I had the special of the day which was a pork chop with broccoli rabe. The dish was superb. The servers were very good. I just wish the menu had a touch more choices. Fantastic meal at this spot and our servers were great with my friends 4 year old daughter! They brought her a special spaghetti and butter dish that was off menu. We started with the Polipo alla Griglia (grilled octopus) and a Insalata di Mele (Cranberry, arugula, apple, balsamic vinegar and pistachio). Both dishes were excellent and the kitchen split the salad for us which is a nice touch. For our main we tried the Carbonara, which was one of the best I've tasted in a long time. Tiramisu for dessert was also a notch above others I've had recently. Outstanding on all aspects and hope to return soon! read more

Quality food and really nice ambiance. There was only one other group in the restaurant and the staff all wore masks. They gave us bread at the beginning of the meal and provided olive oil. The coffee was horrible and the service was slow but the entrees were really delicious. So full of flavor and well cooked. The fusilli al salmone was the best by far. The salmon was cooked really well and the sauce was so flavorful-not fishy at all! The gnocchi was well cooked and the short rib was very tender Surprisingly, the orecchiette was very flavorful and filling. The pasta was all al dente and the portions were pretty big! As an appetizer, I ordered INSALATA DI CARCIOFI Fresh sliced artichokes, baby arugula, white mushrooms, shaved parmigiano in a lemon dressing. It wasn't what I expected, but it was OK. There are more mushrooms than artichoke. Hardly any artichoke. My friend ordered the butternut squash soup, which she totally enjoyed. For the entrées, I ordered the chicken Milanese. My friend ordered the veal. The chicken Milanese was good, not great. The chicken itself should've been breaded. It was somewhat bland and boring. I went to Moscato for the first time on a first date in mid-May (2022). Food: Excellent. Flavors, execution, portioning, plating - all of it was great for every dish ordered by myself and my date. E.g., our grilled octopus appetizer was notably tender and flavorful. My osso buco main basically fell off the bone when I blew on it and included a nice portion of bone marrow, as it should. And so on. Drinks: Excellent. Dirty martinis, my negroni, and even my date's vague "lemony martini that is not sweet like a lemon drop" were all made well and served promptly. Service: Excellent. I say this despite the (clearly recently hired) waitress asking me to repeat our orders multiple times and despite the fact that when I asked our back waiter to wrap up the leftovers for me to take home, he instead threw them away. Why? Because the waitress was making sure she got everything in our order right the first time rather than acting like she got it all without being certain about it, and because the manager made up for the leftovers mistake by giving me my choice of pasta to take home. Beyond those two notable foibles, the service was attentive but not overbearing throughout the entire meal, exactly as it should be. Atmosphere: Nice. The decor is nice. The other patrons are nice. There is a bar with sports on TVs to gaze at if your table isn't captivating your attention. There's some pleasant and appropriately volumed background music wafting through the establishment. It's a nice place to have a great meal, even (perhaps especially) a first date. Pricing: Spendy. You'll pay in full for this excellent dining experience, but you won't feed bad about doing so. read more

Almost half an hour delay between ordering beverages and receiving them, Waited a little over 2 hours after ordering to receive our entrees. Entrees at our table were served luke warm to cool. Even though each couple had a separate check, management chose to determine the amount of the gratuity. We had eaten at this restaurant when we were in the area 3 years ago and the food and the service were excellent. Will we eat here again, most probably not. Came here over Labor Day weekend...was quiet on a Sunday afternoon but we were happy to have the place mostly to ourselves. Our waiter who also made all of our drinks(wish i could remember his name) was very friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed the food, had a swordfish caponata style dish and a special which was char(fish) with tomatoes olives and capers. I came here with my husband on a much-anticipated night out without the kids. We had wine and a martini for drinks. The martini didn't come with olives and wasn't "dirty" as I ordered, but it was fine after I asked for some olives to go with it. We had the grilled octopus for an app which was delicious, just pricey. I had the veal martini and my husband and had the branzino special. After getting our entrees, we decided to also split one order of cacio e pepe. The pasta was so-so and VERY salty. The service was good, but I felt awkward as our waiter stood close by just waiting for us to call him for something. I guess that's better than the opposite? From the get-go, this was a bad experience for dinner on a recent Saturday night with friends. Even with a reservation for an outside table for a party of four, we were basically ignored and required to wait online for over 30 minutes to get in the restaurant, which was packed with customers. Once seated, we were again ignored by the servers and had to repeatedly ask for basics like water and bread. Management and the serving staff were clearly over their head. Mixed drink was amateurishly made and used cheap maraschino cherries. Our waiter had never heard of a Black Manhattan, and when I explained how to make it, admitted he did not know what Amaro or Luxardo cherries were - and this place claims to be high-end Italian?! Caesar salad to start was mundane. My black linguini pasta with mixed seafood entree was, in a word: AWFUL - a lumpy ball of mushy, stuck together linguini (steaming on the outside and cold in the middle) which was at best, bland taste-wise and again, an amateurish production. I should have immediately sent it back but, out of deference to my friends, suffered through the experience, but I vow to NEVER come back. read more

Soooo...took a client to lunch. First time at this restaurant. Sat mid-week at outdoor terrace, largely unoccupied. Took 20 minutes for waiter to take order, another 20 minutes to be served 1 salad and one pizza. Noticed afterwards that I was charged the "dinner charge" and not the "lunch charge" . After many phone calls, spoke to the manager who was rude and condescending. Claimed we were there at dinner service time, not true since we were there at 12:30pm! Also receipt was time stamped. Was rudely told that he didn't have time for this and that he would credit the lunch. He then hung up on me. Needless to say I never received any credit whatsoever. The food btw was average. Sometimes things just turn out right... Driving around on a chilly, rainy March Sunday afternoon we completed our chores for the day. All that was left - find a cozy warm spot for a nice lunch. Then - From out of the cold mist appeared - Moscato. The dark old school Italian interior immediately relaxed us. The dining room was afternoon quiet with a few active tables. Seated at a table for four my wife and I spent the next two hours in accommodated comfort. We started with two solid shared appetizers. The "Caprese Di Burrata" with creamy mozzarella and both yellow and red tomatoes was refreshing and worked perfectly with the "Melenzane Alla Parmigiana" which was Eggplant with ricotta cheese, spinach and melted fontina cheese. This dish arrived a bit cool but was enjoyed regardless. We shared two wonderful main selections as well - again standard Italian and delicious. The "Pappardelle Alla Bolognese" was your favorite pasta memory as a child. The tasteful meat ragu made us smile. The "Vitello Martini" - veal scallopine was - large in both size and flavor. Encrusted with parmigiano, white wine, lemon sauce over string beans we enjoyed every bite. In fact the string beans themselves were outstanding. Can't remember ever raving about string beans.
