Over priced and terrible service.. Waitress forgot our party's drinks far more than a couple times. Food was mediocre at best, Food came out sporadically like 5 mins per meal, my wife's friend Mahi Mahi was luke warm at best other friends salad came with Salmon and not chicken in which she ordered. We were a party of 8 and not one of us thought it even was up to McDonald's standards. Fancy names for Diced Tomatoes and mozzarella cheese doesn't cut it.. I can't for the life of me figure out why it is even sitting at 4.0 stars .. There are Sooooooo many other restaurants that are better in the area and I hope that out of town people do not think that this place represents Redding in any way shape or form. It was a WAY over priced place to eat the only thing that it had going for it was the walk out. Complete let down, don't bother. read more

It was my third time at Mosaic for the reason that it has a nice ambiance whether in the morning or evening. Outdoor seating in the front or back is beautiful and shaded. I prefer sitting in the back with a beautiful view of the Turtle Bay walkway. The hosts, waitress and kitchen staff gave great service, and breakfast was spectacular. The pile of bacon was huge and more than enough for two hungry guests. Eggs Benedict was perfectly portioned. I enjoyed the French toast on French bread although it could have had more batter in my opinion. I've had dinner here in the past, ahi tuna, and steak, and those were really good entrees. I've always had a great experience here. Will revisit. read more

Happy 2023 My Fellow Yelpers! Hope you let go everything 2022 and bring the positive and resilient vibes into the new day/night/weekend/week/month/year! Decided to write a review on a pretty decent Redding, CA restaurant conveniently located at the Dog Friendly Sheraton Hotel @ the Sundial Bridge and Turtle Bay Exploration Park. They all work in conjunction with each other which makes for pretty seamless eventing like the Redding Garden of Lights! Absolutely beautiful holiday lights against the festive colors of the bridge. The blonde ponytailed hostess genuinely smiles constantly and I really wished I caught her name. She was on top of it with reservations and walk-ins and took the time to greet everyone and follow-up with Ron R. And me when we were drinking/waiting at the bar just to make sure we were okay. Y'all need to give that woman a raise. We ate here on the way down the Oregon coast and on the way back up the 5. On to the Eats: Appetizer: Shishito App- My fave app-blistered shishito, miso edamame hummus, lime, smokedsalt, togarashi citrus aioli Entrees: Bolognese- Yes! Get it! pappardelle, venisonbolognese, pomodoro, peconno romano, crisp carrotnest, basil oil BRAISED LAMB- Please and Thank YOU EVERY SINGLE TIME! moroccan braised lamb shank, couscous, green chickpea, date, apricot, lemon vinaigrete, mint yogurt sauce, roasted onion &chili DESSERT Baby (This goes out to you chocolate lovers out there): Taste & See- Belgian chocolate ganache ice cream, double fudge brownie bites and toasted almonds Cheers to the Chef- knocking it out every time we stay in Redding! read more

Mosaic is a cute little restaurant nestled near Turtle Bay Park and is a small walking distance from the Sundial Bridge. This is all a plus, however the menu seemed ever so slightly pretentious which probably matched the atmosphere since we heard many customers complaining about minor inconveniences. The Brussels sprouts, drinks and pork were all amazing. The mahi mahi which was stated to be one of their top selling items, was bursting with flavor- none of which seemed to be cohesive. Stay away from the mahi, and you'll have a great time. read more

We were excited to try. Unfortunately that didn't work out. We ordered the 59.00 rib steak. It was hi-lighted in a box and was the most expensive item on the menu. The presentation was lovely, sauce was delicious, the steak however tough and chewy. Couldn't eat it, my jaw got tired. Waiter finally checked in and we told him it was inedible. He offered 20.00 off of 120.00, which was not acceptable. Then manager offered taking off one meal. We didn't press it, but they should have taken both off. They had the opportunity to save a paying customer, but we paid 60.00 for something we couldn't eat. I was a manager of a restaurant, They should have tried harder. server should have gone to bat for us. Really bad quality and cut. Lost A potential repeat customer. read more

Lovely upscale casual restaurant conveniently located near the Redding Civic Auditorium. Polished professional service from start to finish and we enjoyed our meals very much. The only reason for the mediocre star rating is because of the menu. The food was delicious and obviously prepared by talented chefs, who I would like to believe are capable of creating a vegan dish on par with the rest of the menu. There is literally not one option for a vegan and for this reason I can not recommend to my friends, nor can I return for dinner myself. Such a shame. read more

Worst dine in experience I had. We have a reservation at 2.15pm for mother's day and they make us wait for about 2 hours for the food to came out. While we wait, server didn't even check to refill our drink or give any complimentary appetizer for the long wait. We have to call them to get anything. When they finally bring our food, they were cold and 2 of the burgers were severely undercooked that we have to send them back to the kitchen. And you would think it will be faster this time around. But nope, another 30-45 mins wait. As the cherry on top, one of the server accidentally spilled some sauce on my husband's head. No discount was given to our check for the horrible experience too. They literally didn't even try to make things right. read more

Great for brunch after a run by the Sundial Bridge. The service was terrific and was haste with the food. Honestly thought the setting was like one of the mid overpriced restaurants, but they proved me wrong with the food and prices. $20 for my entree is a fair price. read more

Mosaic truck at Redding garden of lights- unprofessional! A bunch of underaged kids or rude young adults who don't know the importance of delivering quality food and proper customer service etiquette. The kids who served the pizza took longer than usual for two slices of pizza. I ate my Margherita slice of pizza which had no cheese and my boyfriends pizza was uncooked but un pictured. Very unprofessional for the tiny slices we got. My boyfriend gave back his pizza and employees refused to refund. Not to mention seemed like their lack of good customer revive stemmed from my boyfriend's request to refrain from divulging a tip to the jar from waiting to see deliverance from good service after receiving food. read more

Second time eating here but first time visiting it during the day. Ordered the Mosaic burger without the Gouda cheese and with some secret sauce on a Tuesday morning and it was wonderful!! More than anything though, server Reyna made the whole experience fantastic! She was exuberant, friendly, and went above & beyond making my morning super nice!! The front patio area was calm and breezy with the sun coming in and out almost at regular intervals so choosing to sit outside was a good choice. Maybe next time I'm here I'll pick the back patio. Minor annoyance: the individual table I was at was not level so I had to watch where I leaned. read more

Got there a little early for our reservations and ordered a beer only to find out they were out of our choice at 6 pm. Then drinks we did order were watered down and no taste. Dinner arrival was late. Pizza one of our parties ordered was bread with little sauce and sparse amount of pepperoni and not much else. Then in the middle of dinner lights brightened like we were under interrogation. We requested they dim the lights but the staff did not know how. Very disappointing we had brought friends from out of town. Won't be going back read more

COVID review Came just for a short weekend, staying in Sheraton Redding. The restaurant was super busy at night for dinner. So instead, we opted to come for an early breakfast on Sunday before they turned on the brunch hour. The breakfast menu was very limited, but the service was super nice. They turned on the heater for us since early morning was chilly. The avocado toast was good but not my cup of tea for the dressing, however, the presentation was very nice. I hope to be back to try on their real menu. read more

Dinner here at the end of a 45-day road trip. We're staying at the Sheraton, and it's raining buckets. Pros: very attentive waitstaff. Glasses kept properly filled without being pesty, knowledgeable on menu items. We had the squash and pasta appetizer. Yummmo. Hubby had apple pizza. Sitting at the pizza bar, we watched the pizza master toss and build several pies. I have serious crust envy. I need at 800 degree oven. I had carbonara. Also, highly yummy, but I love my carbonara with a tubular pasta to hold more sauce. Good, good stuff as served. Cons: none. Go eat there. read more

Service was awful!! Second time. Not even worth going into the reason. The manager didn't handle it well either. He was from out of town. He didn't do anything to correct the issues. What couldhave been a pleasant lunch on the patio, turned into a bad experience read more

A very chic place, a mix of modern but cozy, great service and excellent ambiance. Had business dinner tonight. Loved both the indoor and outdoor seating areas. We shared several appetizers - olives, Brussels sprouts. I enjoyed a local Pilsner and finished with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc. Wasn't very hungry, as a result I indulged only in a charcuterie board - well plated, with good salami and 3 types of cheese. read more

Nice, quaint place near Turtle Bay in Redding! I was heading out that way for a one-day trip with my dog, and several blogs recommended this restaurant as the go-to spot for traveling with dogs. I decided to stop by for lunch, and the outdoor front patio was nice with no wait. The waitstaff even added an extra heater, which I appreciated. There were a quite a few vegetarian options, and it was perfect for sharing with one other person. I also liked that they had a doggy menu! However, I took off one star because, while the restaurant was dog-friendly in terms of what they provided, I didn't feel like the staff went out of their way to be particularly friendly. Having a dog seemed more like an inconvenience rather than a welcoming experience. I also found it odd when the waiter in charge of our table explicitly mentioned that they were afraid of dogs, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Additionally, I'd say this place is on the expensive side. Two dishes, one cocktail, and a dog dish came to over $75, so I'd recommend being aware of the prices before you come. read more

The location is great, close to the Sundial Bridge and bike paths. It has a dog friendly patio. We ordered the roared Brussel Sprouts. They were overcooked, burnt in some areas. They tasted like last week's leftovers that should have been tossed. The dogs loved it! read more

This is our typical stop before entering OR from CA. Arrived at 9 pm at the hotel and this is the restaurant next door. It closes at 10 on a Friday. There is a good selections for the kid's menu. The appetizers was decent but not amazing. The bolognese was not good, a little too dry. The pesto sauce pasta was our favorite! Maybe we ordered the wrong items this time but I though our experience was better last year for some reason. read more

Mosaic Restaurant - Mussels and Marrow was okay. Octopus was not tender. - Bars Near Me - Redding, California

Pretty sure people go here for the atmosphere. If you're a foodie, you will sadly be let down pretty much each visit. They have some decent basic dishes: brussels, pizzas, wraps, but every single dinner experience, we have either wanted to send something back or asked ourselves why did we pick here. Like how do you make a flavorless steak and charge these prices?! And it wasnt just one person, it was half our party that took a bite and said "this is not good." Much better places in town..... but it is a nice atmosphere. read more

The restaurant has a five-star ambiance. I ordered the Miso Steak Salad. The beef was tender and the dish has a generous serving of salad. The rosemary fries were crunchy. It's a great place to dine in. In the hallway connecting the hotel, there is an art show featuring a local artist. It is worth checking out. read more

We had a pretty awful experience when we went on Friday night. We were not greeted when we came in, the restaurant was completely empty except for the musicians who were annoyingly testing the microphones and equipment the majority of our dinner. We were constantly hearing screeches, high pitched ringing and a man's voice talking to us the entire dinner. When we got there and finally got checked in, the man who served us canceled our reservation through open table so it looked like we didn't attend our reservation. He served us beer with lipstick on the cup from another customer, cold hot and sour soup that tasted absolutely nothing like hot and sour (more like hoisin sauce mixed with water, salty and lacking flavor) and then hardly checked in on us. We had to walk up to the bar to get our bill because the servers were just at the bar watching sports the entire time. I gave a ten percent tip but really wanted to leave nothing. It was a pretty awful experience overall. read more

I Ordered 2 pizzas to go and 1 Pelegrino water (over the phone) They told me that it would be 30-40 minutes for pickup. I arrived for the pickup at the 40 minutes. They made us wait an extra 40 minutes. The pizzas were under the light for about 20 minutes before they were given to us. They were understaffed. And they ran out of Pelegrino water to boot. Unfortunately, we ate cold pizza. I am sorry about the understaffing issues, but on a holiday weekend, ?? Apparently. There was no manager on site. Its too bad, it seems like a nice restaurant but not ran well. Not impressed. And that's not all, we ordered breakfast in the morning and asked for sourdough bread. When we got the breakfast delivered the restaurant said they ran out of sourdough, they didn't even replace it with anything else. I mean, the order was placed at 8:00 p.m. the previous night. Who runs out of sourdough bread for breakfast the next morning?? read more

Waited 50 minutes for food. Staff were very nice. Place was dead, not sure why it took so long. Employee came and asked if I wanted the appetizers I ordered with only one being done, said yes, didn't show up for another 7 minutes. Toddler getting squirrelly, drinks taking forever.. When the food showed up, it was *excellent*. Sounds like cooks were having a bad day. I think it was a perfect storm of things so I'm leaving a 4 star. read more

We had dinner here our first night in. The food was good, and we got a big kick out of the dessert semifreddo with the horchata glaze with crispy black rice. The burger was really good quality and the egg really gave it the flavor it needed. Then there's brunch. The food was dynamite! The churro French toast was life altering. My son, who is picky as a picky kids get devoured it. The chorizo and shishito pepper eggs Benedict were delicious and very filling. The blackberry soufflé pancakes were not overly sweet and were super enjoyable. They tasted more like a fresh cake, and they were quite light, which isn't something I've ever said about a pancake breakfast. Not sure why, but we ordered fries with our breakfast... and I'm so glad we did... we all chipped in to devour them. Super yummy. Our server, Carley, made the experience over the top with her great attention, he check ins. She was super generous with my kids, and she took the time to really accommodate my family, who isn't always super easy. We live about 3 hours away, but the food and service were so over the top, that we would consider making the drive just to eat here. read more
