COVID review Came just for a short weekend, staying in Sheraton Redding. The restaurant was super busy at night for dinner. So instead, we opted to come for an early breakfast on Sunday before they turned on the brunch hour. The breakfast menu was very limited, but the service was super nice. They turned on the heater for us since early morning was chilly. The avocado toast was good but not my cup of tea for the dressing, however, the presentation was very nice. This is our typical stop before entering OR from CA. Arrived at 9 pm at the hotel and this is the restaurant next door. It closes at 10 on a Friday. There is a good selections for the kid's menu. The appetizers was decent but not amazing. The bolognese was not good, a little too dry. The pesto sauce pasta was our favorite! Maybe we ordered the wrong items this time but I though our experience was better last year for some reason. read more

I do not understand how this restaurant has 4 stars. It is literally the most disappointing meal i have eaten in a long time. The staff was disorganized , we had 3 different servers tell us "I'll be right with you " to place our order.. the one who finally helped us was very nice, no complaints there but honestly every single dish we ordered was TERRIBLE. The Caesar salad was way too big for one person and so soggy i couldn't stab it with my fork. No fresh pepper or Parmesan cheese was offered . The "whipped feta dip" was an overly salty mess with no flavor and looked/ tasted nothing like feta . When i asked about a steak she told me about a special of the day which was a 9 oz Filet with mashed potatoes and asparagus. It came out looking like slop. The plate was covered with a sticky white mess , 2 pieces of asparagus and over cooked steak cut up into bites ?! And the entire thing was stone COLD !? I tried to eat it but couldn't, it was disgusting and chewy... the waitress apologized and offered a dessert and a discount on my meal . I packed a slice of cheesecake to go and when i got back to the hotel and looked at it, i realized the chef does NOT know how cook OR plate food !! It literally looked like some puked on it. After seeing pictures of the dishes from other patrons I really think they need a new chef who knows that food should look ( and taste) more appealing. Yuck. Also didn't like the fact that people were bringing their dogs into the restaurant and sitting at the tables, very unhygienic and rude in my opinion. This is one of our go to restaurants in Redding! My son's birthday was yesterday and he got to choose where we went. He chose Mosaic. It's his absolute favorite pizza! Of all the times we have been here, we have never been disappointed! We live 30 minutes south and don't go to Redding often but when we do, we know we can always count on Mosaic for great food and great service! The 1,000 peaks pizza (add jalapeño) is amazing!! Waited 50 minutes for food. Staff were very nice. Place was dead, not sure why it took so long. Employee came and asked if I wanted the appetizers I ordered with only one being done, said yes, didn't show up for another 7 minutes. Toddler getting squirrelly, drinks taking forever.. We have been faithfully coming here for the last several years. Birthdays, anniversaries, or bringing out of town friends. The food is top notch; it's so good that we have continued to come despite the rising prices. (For example, the burger is now up to $24.) The cocktails are great and the appetizers are always creative. The service is probably about the best you'll find in the north state area. Sadly, I think the price to quantity ratio has now tilted a bit too far for us to continue. I recently brought a friend for her first visit and I was embarrassed by the size of the entree salads at $18. The salads were so small, they wouldn't even have qualified as a side dinner salad. It may have been ok if served with fresh bread or some focaccia, but it was just the salad. Honestly, I left hungry and had to grab something else to eat to tide myself over until dinner. Again, great service, wonderful food, and a beautiful setting but I just can't stomach the increased prices and the decreased serving sizes. read more

we were at the Redding Sheraton sundial bridge hotel for my nieces wedding. The restaurant is steps from the hotel and is convenient. However the service is ridiculously slow. They have a ton of employees but they all Stand around. We went a few times including breakfast with the family and got to watch two of the six people eat their food while we waited 30 minutes for ours. Like I said very convenient, but don't waste your time here. read more

This was a great spot to celebrate our anniversary. The staff was amazing. The ambiance was pleasant. Shout out to the bartender who made the absolute best margaritas I've had outside of my own blender! My only critique is that the food lacked seasoning. The first notable item was the lack of options for lunch. I came with 4 friends and nobody was excited about the choices. We ended up with pizza and salad. We had dinner here our first night in. The food was good, and we got a big kick out of the dessert semifreddo with the horchata glaze with crispy black rice. The burger was really good quality and the egg really gave it the flavor it needed. Then there's brunch. The food was dynamite! The churro French toast was life altering. My son, who is picky as a picky kids get devoured it. The chorizo and shishito pepper eggs Benedict were delicious and very filling. The blackberry soufflé pancakes were not overly sweet and were super enjoyable. They tasted more like a fresh cake, and they were quite light, which isn't something I've ever said about a pancake breakfast. Not sure why, but we ordered fries with our breakfast... and I'm so glad we did... we all chipped in to devour them. Super yummy. Our server, Carley, made the experience over the top with her great attention, he check ins. She was super generous with my kids, and she took the time to really accommodate my family, who isn't always super easy. Creative menu with delicious attention to detail. Pizza of the week this week is sriracha, pineapple, jalapeño, and cheese pizza which was an amazing flavor combination! Caesar salad has delicious dressing and huge rosemary croutons that we could eat an entire loaf of just by themselves! Caramel apple tart is delicious and the local honey lavender ice cream helps balance the tart green apple. Chocolate pot de creme with almond chocolate bark is one of the best pot de cremes we've had the pleasure of eating. The happy hour red blend was delightfully drinkable and smooth and paired well with the pizza and chocolate. For breakfast the chicken and waffles are so good although we both agreed we would have preferred the hot sauce on the side so we could keep the chicken breading crispier and keep the hot sauce off the waffles. We had the short stack, which was 3 pancakes topped with powdered sugar, Avacado Toast which was delicious and has a great taste because of the blend of the balsamic glaze, toasted sesame and the basil. I would have preferred white or sourdough bread but the wheat was good. We ordered the Hash Brown Stack fir the table, what a hit!!! Be sure to check it out! The food was a bit of a mixed bag. The bucatini carbonara was good but not quite as delicious as hoped. Seemed to be lacking richness and even salt. It looked really lovely and appetizing. The crème brûlée left much to be desired. It was really gritty and just not at all good. The dried fruit accompaniment was odd, particularly in texture. Just not that great of a pairing, in my taste. But the restaurant's location, service and ambiance brought up the average score. I'd definitely give it another shot when in the area. read more
