Anthony's was a great find in Redding. After nearby adventures near Lake Shasta, the dam and caverns, we realized there was not anywhere decent to eat, lakeside. Being not too far from Redding and craving Mediterranean food, I yelped and found Anthony's. Service was very attentive and our waitress was very sweet. I got the falafel bowl and my boyfriend got the chicken wrap which came with fries. Nice and crisp falafel and a good blend of flavors in the bowl. They were very generous with the hummus and tzatziki that were in it. The space itself is very modern and nicely decorated. Definitely had a relaxing, chill vibe. We visited early dinner time on a Monday and there was a decent amount of tables seated. Very cool and tasty spot in Redding. read more

If I could give this place 2.5 stars, I would. It's not quite a 2, definitely not a 3. $19 for some bland rice pilaf & a small grilled chicken wrap. Made fresh, but bland. Very little & none of the veggies held up in the small little wrap. I knew there was lettuce in tomato in the wrap, but it had no veggie texture. I also thought it had onion, which I would have liked, & it didn't. The service was awesome though. Thanks to Sam for being a really good human. You just know he's a good guy. Other than the service being pleasant, I would never return if in the area again. Way over priced & the food - underwhelming. Even the quality of the chicken was questionable. I suppose it could have been worse - it could have been inedible. Thankfully it was not in that category. I really had a hankering for Mediterranean food that day. Solid Mediterranean restaurant with a great atmosphere. The bar has plenty of options, and there's a secret bar room available by reservation -- definitely worth booking. The Kids Kabob with chicken was delicious, no complaints there. One piece in the meat kabob plate was noticeably undercooked, which was disappointing. However, our server Sammy handled it perfectly -- offered an immediate replacement without being asked twice, and the new kabob came out fresh and hot. That kind of service recovery says a lot about a place. I'm giving 5 stars not because everything was perfect, but because this restaurant clearly puts the guest experience first read more

I always have low expectations for a Mediterranean restaurant, especially one in Redding, but wow, I was mistaken. This place was so good. Destroyed my entire plate. Everything was fresh and it came with three different sauces, which kept everything juicy and wet. The service was phenomenal as well. read more

Lamb gyro .... What self respecting meat eater doesn't love a good lamb gyro?! This restaurant is a nice stop for a meal with a congenial host. This place holds the gold standard for their falafel. I was here in July 2025 and I still think about their perfect falafel. When the falafel arrived I thought it might be undercooked. Oh boy, I was wrong! I realized in that moment I have never eaten, in all of my 45 years of life a falafel done to perfection. Others in my party had various meat dishes and we all left wishing this place was closer to home. I definitely recommend this place and would go back if ever I was driving through Redding. read more

Chicken Gyro. I was excited to try this place and I lifted it up and it started draining out this grease/oil. I took a couple bites to see if it was worth just powering through (I was hungry lol) and could not do it. The oil tasted weirdly like clove. Super disappointed in Anthony's Mediterranean, I really wanted to like this place and some items are so good. Ordered steak kabob entree plate $26.89+ taxes. The meat was a 10 out of 10. But the side was disappointing only whole onion and tomato w/out other vegetables. Roasted vegetables should have included eggplant, squash, zucchini or olives. They could have done a Greek salad, cucumber salad, cabbage salad. For how expensive this dishes it should've had a salad and hummus, but it didn't so I had to pay $13 for a couple of pita pieces and a little hummus. Pita was actually cold not even warm at all. Pita was very thin like an uncooked tortilla. For $13 they could've warmed it . The chicken gyros was good a little over seasoned but good. Fries and salad were very tasty and fresh. Hummus is absolutely delicious and so was the steak kabobs very well flavored. My suggestion would be to the restaurant that for the price you can't just serve rice and tomato w/ onion only as a side. You actually have to make an effort put in a salad and some hummus on the plate also. read more

The tables are a good distance apart so i didn't feel like I was listening in on the other tables. The waitress was nice and the owner brought such happy excited energy to the restaurant. The food is good, but not great. I've had better from the food truck. i ordered the Gyros plate. it came with only 1 small piece of Pita bread and no small dinner salad. At $27 I expected more. The ambiance of the new restaurant is good. They have a beautiful and well stocked bar. The crowd was light on Wednesday evening and I expect they are have trouble covering expenses hence the skimping on pita bread and salad. They should be serving large portions in order to drive business into their new location. There is so much potential here and I want to see them succeed. Hey all! This is the place to bring family, friends, and even work! The food is amazing. I ordered a lamb Gyro and WOW! best you will ever have guaranteed. I was greeted by the bartender when I walked in with a welcoming greeting and asked how my day was going. My order was a take away so I walked through the restaurant and discovered they have a separate room at the back side of the dining room. Check it out! The whole dining and banquet room is decorated to fit the ambiance. I will say when we are watching what we spend this place will give you what is expected. Can't wait to try again. Enjoy! read more

This family owned operation is authentic right down to the whole shallot and tomatoes I as side vegetables. I had to laugh because one person said the food was great but gave two stars because she didn't understand how authentic it was to serve vegetables the way she got them. And another person gave three stars but said the food wasn't that great. Funny thing is they all said the meat part was excellent.
