I just Happen to walk by this cafe and I noticed the menu. It had so many different varieties of food that I could eat as a gluten-free dairy free person. I ordered several things and everything was absolutely delicious. Next time I'm visiting from Los Angeles I will come back to this great restaurant. Happy happy happy! read more

Such an awesome gem here. The cafe is adorable, the staff is amazing and kind (we got some Moroccan tea with mint leaves for free), and our food was AMAZING. It was just what we WANTED & NEEDED, and would definitely recommend for some good food and quick eats. Check them out! read more

First time coming here. Tried 2 dishes today. Goat crepe ($16 before tip): Personally wasn't a huge fan of this. It needs less cheese, more fillings, and more flavor in my opinion, but I can see why some people might like it. 6.5 out of 10. Moroccan salad ($13 before tip): The veggies in Moroccan salad was fresh, and the chicken was grilled really well. I'll get the dressing on the side next time, because it was salty. 8 out of 10. Service: Awesome, friendly, quick! Morracan tea and baklava are definitely worth trying. Baklava had just the right amount of sweetness, although it does have a lot of butter in it (almost all baklavas do). read more

Great food with a small inside eating area and an outdoor option. Order at the counter from a large menu and they will bring your food out to you. The staff is attentive. The crepes are excellent! read more

Here I sit, next to the croton plant. Did you know it needs to be watered often? The waitress called me lovingly by my name. I think we have a real chance together. I am hopeful for my "La Pacifique" crepe. I really bumbled the pronunciation of that word when ordering. Nonetheless, my experience overall has been excellent. My future wife approaches with my latte. Farewell for now. read more

Mosaic Cafe - This is heart made out of a combination of two crepes, which I shared with my girlfriend. For clarification, the heart is for the server. - Moroccan Near Me - Northampton, Massachusetts

This is my favorite place to beat the heat. They have AC, free wifi, plenty of wall outlets scattered around, and they're open until at least 10pm every night. Mosaic beats Panera or any of the coffee shops around on a hot day hands down. Not only that, but their food is great. Best crepes around (I recommend the La Pacifique, the sauce is wonderful). Other favorites of ours: the Moroccan mint tea, red lentil soup, and the "suisse" dessert crepe (chocolate and honey). read more

I am a definite fan of this place. You order at the counter, get your own utensils and bus your own table. Service is good for what it is. You can eat inside or outside at whatever table is open that you like. It's super casual. The food is really good. Ingredients are all fresh and tasty. The menu is mostly Moroccan with some French and American coffee house influence. I have ordered The Atlas omelette and the Moroccan stews here. The mint tea is great and so are the coffee beverages. I would certainly advise all visiting Noho and inclined for this type of cuisine to check this place out. I have been here a few times and never had a bad meal or experience. Bon appetite! read more

Mosaic Cafe - This was a very tasty meal - Thanks Mosaic! - Moroccan Near Me - Northampton, Massachusetts

Wow what are the odds of a small town like Northampton having two great Moroccan restaurants? That's right, in town you can choose between either Mosaic cafe and Amanouz Cafe when it comes to Moroccan food. I've visited both and they're both roughly about the same in my opinion. They're very laid back where you order at a counter and bus your own table. The cheapskate in me likes that business model because it doesn't require any tipping. There's roughly eight or nine small tables inside. During the day natural lighting shines through the windows. My lamb brochette sandwich was great. I just wish I had ordered one of the stews because from the looks of them they looked fantastic. Prices range from $7 to $13 for most menu items. So yes, I'm jealous of you NoHa folks. I wish my town had a Mosaic Cafe. read more

OH. MY. OH. MY. OH. MY. This place was amazing. We were blown away by the food and service. Such nice people and such delicious food. We ordered the following dishes: Mosaic fish stew, Vegetarian stew, Goat stew, and Mosaic salad. The Mosaic salad came out first. It included various vegetables, olives, feta, and some walnuts in a vinaigrette. The veggies were crispy fresh and the dressing was super flavorful. The dressing had various delicious seasonings and really made the salad. The three stews were pretty similar, just with different proteins; oh are we glad they were. The Moroccan broth this place makes is to die for. Tons of flavor yet not overpowering. The stews include various veggies, including carrots, chick peas, squash, zucchini, cabbage, among others. The salmon (fish stew) and goat (goat stew) were tender and delicious. The goat was clearly slow cooked in the stew and it showed - full of flavor and I wanted more and more. The stews tasted fresh and refreshing even though the dish was served hot and has bold, even spicy flavors. Also, the owner came out and chatted with us and he was super nice. Just generally nice people serving high quality food with bold flavors. Go here, again and again! read more

Their crepes are great... both for main course and dessert (cheap too!). Also you can find some other Moroccan food, such as stew,... ahhh... I love the goat stew! During this time of the year (spring-summer-fall), there are lots of places to sit outside. I like to sit in the back under a big tree. Moroccan mint tea is also good,.. I tried the iced one last time I went there, it's as good as when it's hot! Love it! read more

I've been here before for breakfast about 5 years ago and loved the middle eastern spin on breakfast. Went back a couple of weeks ago, and even though the menu selection was not as large as last time, the omelettes we selected came out delicious! The side of fried potatoes was perfect. We sat outside in the back patio and it was super cute! Fenced in with beautiful shrubbery, very private, cozy and relaxing. I will definitely be back! read more

The cashier was super helpful. The system is you order and pay before sitting. You bus your own tables. I thought our food took a while and I noticed the cashier didn't wear gloves when making my drink or getting my baklava. However the lamb stew was absolutely delicious over Cous Cous which was a special request. I really enjoyed the carrot ginger juice drink. I loved the walnut baklava. Couldn't have had a better Mediterranean meal. Also they have little notes all over the restaurant to help you out and give you suggestions. Check it out read more

Love them. The food, moderate prices, great staff. Been eating there for years! Can dine in or outside, on porch or in back.

The falafel sandwich was pretty good, but not great. Unfortunately it took about 40 minutes to get. I only waited because I was doing some work. And when I asked about it there was no explanation or apology. The cashier said "oh, we were just busy". From where I was sitting it looked like most tables were empty. It was 2:30 in the afternoon on a Wednesday. If that was busy I'd hate to see actually busy. In addition, the table was dirty/sticky and no one ever came by to clean it. Overall - great location, cool menu, disappointing experience. read more

Amazing food Never had a bad experience; Always wonderful Good service for dining in, as well as takeout

I I love this place, for the delicious and affordable food and the laid back atmosphere. I hope it sticks around forever.

Another one of my favorite places. The food is fresh and delicious and they have gluten-free crepes. I'm a creature of habit and my go-to is the Mediterranean crepe with a gluten-free crepe. Service is sometimes very slow so be sure to build in extra time. read more

Ordered food online with a 20 minute ETA. Went to the restaurant to pick up my food (literally a sandwich and soup) 25 minutes later and was told I had to wait another 20 minutes. The person at the counter also didn't acknowledge me for 10 minutes when I walked in although no one was ahead of me. In his defense, he was working the counter and tables but didn't even said hello or be right with you until about 10 minutes after I arrived. He then told me he'd confirmed 50 minutes for pick up and I told him I didn't receive any confirmation of this. He said he'd "try" to do it sooner but 20 minutes later, I was still waiting. Most of the tables were empty and there wasn't a line. He also wore his mask below his nose and touched it several times. If I spend an hour trying to get food that takes 5 or 10 minutes to assemble, and spend $18 on the "convenience," what's the convenient part? When I received my food and got home to eat, I realized that although I ordered a "bowl" of soup, I was given a cup that was 3/4 full. (See pic.) read more

Fantastic food, great menu! I LOVE this place! I was introduced to it by a friend, and now I've eaten there several times. Each time I've tried something new - the soups are always amazing, the lamb marakesh is incredible, the vegetarian stew is sumptuous - everything is made to order, fresh and delicious. AND it doesn't break the bank, very reasonably priced!!! I've done takeout mostly, but ate there twice. Simple small environment, maybe 8 tables. Clean, nice, good, real food. THANK YOU! read more

The food was excellent and staff friendly. But for some reason the service was very slow so we had to rush to eat our food (which was delicious) as we had a concert to attend. read more

Amazing Moroccan flavors, huge menu selection, great indoor or outdoor seating. Try the Moroccan tea and the omelettes.

I want to give this restaurant five stars because compared to anything else in Northampton they actually make good tasty food. I have yet to find my favorite place in the town - so many options but none have amazing food I want to have all the time. Mosaic is actually a nice exception, I came back more than once for lunch and I enjoyed it every time. read more

Every time I'm in NoHo, I go to this restaurant. It's so accommodating to gluten free diners like myself. The goat stew is to-die-for although now that I used the goat emoji, I'm feeling like I should go full on vegetarian. They do well on that spectrum too. What's great about this place is that you can they have about 6-8 (maybe more) wines that pair well with the entrees. read more

The food is different, it's delicious, it's authentic, and it's incredible. The staff is extremely sweet and incredibly hardworking. They often only have 3-4 people working for a huge dinner and lunch rush and I commend them for working so hard day in and day out. Definitely my favorite and most consistent restaurant in Northampton read more

Very full flavored lamb stew. Enough for two meals. Veggies, lamb, complex spices, steamed egg. I will be back!

So, my family and I went here in hopes of some great Mediterranean food and we got it! Food is decent. My son tried out the PB and J crepe because he likes the sandwich. Took one bite and threw up all over the table. (Credit to the nice person who offered to get some napkins to help, kindness should always be recognized) So, we tried our best to finish our meal while calming down our sick 2 year old and managed to do so and get ready to go. THEN, as we are already in our car, an employee from the cafe feels the need to come up to our car and tell us that we were supposed to "self bus" our dishes. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? We did not see any signs that said that this is how the place runs its service. And about 5 minutes before that the same person had taken away some of our dishes which gave me the impression that he would be taking away the rest. But, regardless of any of that, you feel the need to try and shame my family and I with a sick toddler and a tired 5 month old AS WE ARE ALREADY IN OUR CAR!?!?!?!? How fucking dare you treat my family in such a disrespectful way! We will never come here again. read more

An amazing find on the road (just off I95-) we loved the color and richly textured food. Sitting in the shade. Everything here tells a story - everything is lovingly hand-crafted. I just had a lovely (and very reasonably priced) breakfast here and wonderful service. I hadn't been before for some reason, but it was great place for working on a laptop, having a conversation or even bringing small children mid morning when it is a bit quiet. I know it's a big favorite in town and now I know why. Can't wait to come again and try some of their very interesting dishes. read more

Hit up this place based on the great Yelp reviews. Maybe if I lived in Northhampton this place would be great...but then again, maybe not. On a trip from Boston I needed someplace to get some brunch and really wanted to sit outside. Awesome covered patio complete with live tree? Check. One star right there. Another for a diverse, somewhat interesting menu. That's where the positivity stopped for me. Service SUCKED. You order at the counter, get a number, and wait for them to come out to you with your food...except, they might totally forget about your food, then bring 2/3 of your order out 20 minutes later (20 minutes for eggs?), and be completely spacy about what happened. Then, after you finally get your food, it just might suck, with the sauce over your Morrocan eggs tasting like canned tomatoes with no spice. If that sounds reasonable to you try this place out. If it doesn't, go to the awesome bakery next store and save yourself the $$ and annoyance. read more

I frequent this restaurant several times per week. Why I love it: 1. The owner is the man 2. staff is very nice 3. food is fresh, healthy and delicious 4. the prices are very reasonable 5. Solid variety of dishes A great find in a town populated with overrated establishments read more

Maybe you could get a more authentic meal in Tangier but save your travel $$ because there's a little bit of Morocco down this side street in 'Hamp. An old friend turned me on to Mosaic Café, last night, and I'm already anxious to go back and taste what else is cookin'. I had the Lamb Sausage Stew and he had (I think it was called) Chicken Atlas stew (or something like that...whatever). Outstandingly delicious and very filling. We're two big guys and we waddled out very satisfied. I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat...they serve BREAKFAST! That's GOTTA be good! Oh! My stew? $13.38!!!!!!!!! read more

Certainly one of the top 5 restaurants in the Pioneer Valley. I've tried most of the menu (and it is extensive) and have yet to have a bad meal. The atmosphere is very welcoming, the owner knows his customers, the owner cares about his customers, the food is reasonably priced, and the food is just, well good. Crepes. Yum. Citron Crepe. The best. Atlas Stew. Fantastic. Avocado Salad. Delightful. Moroccan Tea. YES. Dolma Platter. Can't go wrong. Omelettes. Those are all good too. **I wish the management would consider a different garbage receptacle. It often has food on and around the lid, especially during peak hours. read more

Visited Northampton again, and my friends told me about this place. Newly opened by the same owners as Amanouz (one of my favorite places in the area). Same style cafe/restaurant. Order up front and they bring the food to your table. There are tables in the front or out back. Cheap prices, for awesome food. To start we had the Hummus platter and a philo spinach appetizer. The philo app. was very interesting. It was filled with spinach but sprinkled with powdered sugar. My mouth almost thought I was eating a dessert! I had the Mushroom and Swiss Crepe which was HUGE! It was very good, different then I was used to back home. The crepe actually reminded me of the Ethiopian bread I ate once before. Thicker and Spongier then I was used to. Although different, I enjoyed it. My friends who are vegans had the vegetarian Stew. My friends knew some of the employees and found out they are working on getting a liquor license. This was my first experience at a Bring your own bottle eatery, so we brought some local beer (Steel Rail) to drink with our dinner. We had little bird friend that was loving the bread as much as we did and even ate out of my friends hand! There is something for everyone here. Try it its yummy! read more

Of all the places to get brunch in Northampton, this is by far my favorite, if only because of their crepes. If you're looking for the kind of crepe that really hits the spot, without all the bells and whistles, this place is for you. My favorite is the banana crepe, which is simply bananas and honey. I also love the desert crepe, which is a choice of bananas or strawberries with nutella and ice cream - it's sinfully delicious. I have never actually tried their savory crepes, mostly because my sweet tooth always leads me back to those banana crepes, but I'm sure they're just as good. On the few occasions where I've been there for lunch or dinner, I usually get the vegetarian stew on rice, which is hearty and filling. It's also worth mentioning that all the food is more than reasonably priced - to be able to get that much great food on a student budget is truly a Godsend. Also, the Moroccan tea! That's always a necessity, whether I'm there for brunch, dinner or just a snack. read more

All right...it was cold in Northampton. Just, the nasty, cut right through you kind of cold. We were there on a day trip to visit our friend Sarah, who had recommended this Mosaic Cafe place. I thought, great, I have to walk through howling Western Mass. winds to eat Moroccan food. Absolutely worth it. My Beef Stew with rice was amazing. Big chunks of seasoned beef, carrots, chick peas, a huge plate of all kinds of things that I like, and some things I don't. Didn't matter, I shoveled them down with a Reed's Ginger Beer (the perfect complement). It was steamy, and spicy and meaty. My friend had ordered a crepe bowl and got a large bowl with an excellent crepe folded up in it, with piping hot lentil soup poured in. Wonderful. And even though we were stuffed we made room to share a honey and whipped cream desert crepe, which was so good I just chewed it and sat contemplating eternity. And when we left, the wind had died down and it had actually warmed up a good 10 degrees or more. Now, there probably wasn't anything magical in that stew that made the weather improve. And maybe it was just because I was eating hot food on a really cold day, maybe in spring or summer I wouldn't be as captivated. But Mosaic Cafe gets four and a half stars (rounded up) for feeding me a little bit of bliss right when I needed it. read more

Cute airy restaurant with a lot of Mediterranean/Morrocan options. I had the lamb merguez crepe, which was very flavorful and filling. The entrees do take quite a while, as I believe they are all prepared from scratch. They allow BYOA, which is thoughtful, as a cool glass of white wine pairs incredibly well with their dishes. A little less quirky than Amanouz Cafe and more sunny and bright. read more

Mosaic Cafe - Moroccan Near Me - Northampton, Massachusetts

FOOD: 4/5 Delicious crepes! I ordered the Crepe Jambon aux Fromage from the Specials menu, and it turned out to be quite scrumptious! A lot of flavors, heavily induced with spices just the way I like it. The iced latte I ordered was satisfying too. AMBIANCE: 3/5 Not much here. It's a small small place, a couple tables, pretty cramped. There was a fly that incessantly bothered us. We tried killing it before our food came but with no avails. SERVICE: 2/5 It took a while for the food to come. Service was essentially nonexistent; we clean up our own table and emptied our own dishes. I wish I had known that tips aren't really given here since everything is "self-done" I wish Sylverster's line was shorter! If I ever go back to Northampton again, that's the place I'd want to go, not here. Regardless, this is a worthwhile place to come if you're a huge fan of Mediterranean food, or simply what that small, home-like feeling. read more
