Was working late and wanted to check out gyro express. It was a very successful business with a name change in the Holyoke mall for thirty plus years that I absolutely loved. Located in Chicopee attached to a liquor store it's easy missed if you're driving. Owner was fabulous. Greeted me and we immediately went into conversation. I ordered a lamb kabob, Greek salad, chicken gyro and a Greek salad with gyro meat. Let me say all of our sandwiches were stuffed! Absolutely delicious with a ton of meat on each one. Great flavor with a great value. They offer catering and everything is made to order. Catering is also available as well as homemade Greek desserts. I'm definitely going to return. Food gyro had a little spice taste must be pepper but so far good and large enough not to be able to eat all in one sitting, added only feta extra! Service was good and friendly, Basic takeout place,casual. Remember at times the smallest underripe places tend to have good food. I found her! The owner that used to be in Holyoke Mall, for the best and fresh Greek food! I always order the Greek salad, with extra feta cheese ( that feta cheese is like no other!) and with rice on the side. My daughter gets the gyro sandwich with rice on the side. They make pizza at this location but except for Tuesdays to give the pizza maker a day off. They do accept card, cash , Apple Pay. Next door to them is a laundry mat, a nail salon and a liquor store. ( the lady at the liquor store is so nice and super informative on wines and best wineries to go to that you can bring your own snacks, etc) Close to the highway, so your in and out ! And on your way out there is Anne's golf range and a cute pet grooming store. Please go see her and support this icon that has been around for 25 years, if not more! This place is a little gem. Customer service is excellent and on point. Food tastes amazing and not over powering with a lot of seasoning. Ambiance is not designed to dine in with family, so plan on ordering and taking it with you. You will not be disappointed. Delicious and followed specific instructions for severe allergies. Yum and thanks! Overwhelming amount of food at first I was surprised by price but the taste definitely made it worth it. Delicious food! I felt so special going in for lunch. Beautiful decorations. They told me about the tomatoes from the garden they had used. I felt like it was made by family! This was "The Greek Place" from the Holyoke mall. My life has not been the same since it was unceremoniously dumped from the mall even though it was the BEST place to eat by far!!!! Thank God they have found a new place. I would drive anywhere to get this Greek food as it is truly the BEST there is!!!!
